I managed to dodge surgery on both knees thanks to his exercises and those inserts he recommended.

👋

Thanks, you're a lifesaver.👍

Sam Ruiz7, you maybe have a phone number or an email to get a hold of Peharec?

hey
I get how you feel because I've been there 😢 but you might find some relief if you tweak your diet. It’s not a huge deal, though you really have to be consistent (which, honestly, I'm not really 🙄 ) and cut out coffee, soda, or heavy teas—basically anything that causes water retention and makes the pain worse.
Maybe take a look through the forum; someone already started a thread on this with some solid advice.
Hang in there.

I'm writing this hoping it might scare you just enough to make you look for some professional help. Bulimia is an actual illness that can—and should—be treated. It isn't something you need to feel ashamed about.
Just give it your best shot and try to take your life back.
Prognosis - complications from bulimia
Long-term outlook. People dealing with bulimia who maintain a normal weight and don't develop anorexia tend to run into several major health issues. I guess the prognosis is generally better for bulimia than for anorexia, though. Tooth decay, cavities, and gum issues are pretty common. Bingeing and purging cycles can also lead to water retention, bloating, and swelling. Occasionally, the cycle of overeating followed by forced purging can cause dehydration and low potassium levels, which leads to weakness or even near-paralysis; things usually improve once you get potassium back up. Dangerously low potassium levels can cause heart arrhythmias and death. Acute gastritis or even esophageal ruptures are also linked to frequent vomiting. In rare cases, the walls of the rectum can become so weak they protrude; that’s a serious issue requiring surgery. Self-destructive behavior. Women with bulimia are prone to depression and risky impulsive behaviors, like promiscuity or kleptomania, which have been noted in about half of all cases. Alcohol and drug abuse is more common among women with bulimia than in the general population or among those with anorexia. Also, a lot of teenage girls smoke because they think it helps prevent weight gain. Women with bulimia often overdo it with OTC meds like laxatives, appetite suppressants, diuretics, or emetics—usually Ipecac. Every one of those is risky. For instance, Ipecac poisoning has been recorded, and some people end up depending on laxatives just to keep their bowels moving normally. Diet pills, even herbal ones or non-prescription meds, can be dangerous, especially if misused.

I don't know how to post a link, sorry.😢

Why are you so desperate for people to accept a version of you that isn't even real (not that you haven't admitted it yourself)? Maybe it would be easier to just let people accept who you actually are, regardless of the weight. You should probably try liking yourself more, because being this unhappy isn't working, even if you think you're fine with your weight. You mentioned you were happier before—and honestly, losing weight is usually easier than dealing with Eating Disorders—so maybe listen to everyone else for once and go find some professional help.
There's no reason to be ashamed. Health comes first, and you've still got plenty of time on your side.

All I can say is my friend made it out. She looked like death warmed over and wouldn't listen to anyone—not even her closest friends—she just shut down completely. And she’s actually a really smart, capable person. When I asked why she even started... she just wanted to lose a little weight and feel like she had some control over her life, but then the illness ended up controlling her. She would eat just to try and fill a void, which she says was immediately followed by guilt, and then she'd purge so it wouldn't stick.
She pulled through and she's doing great now. She has her rough patches every once in a while, but it's nothing compared to what it used to be, though she's still dealing with the kidney damage from it today. So, honestly, go see a doctor because nobody else can help you... but I guess you have to actually want to.
Personally, I think you talking about this is a win, even if it's just anonymously here. It took her forever to get out and it was a struggle, but she did it.
So👍 just learn to love yourself.

Maybe try some Gerolsteiner, though I guess it works best if you warm it up and drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Like Hannah Scott69 mentioned, you could also just mix some probiotics into pretty much anything you eat...
Good luck...
p.s. You really need to stay hydrated, otherwise you'll probably end up with a headache from all the effort.🙄
