So, I headed over to the clinic in Germany today and paid $217 (including the biopsy). Honestly, after hearing all the horror stories floating around, I thought I was braced for the worst, but I still secretly hoped it wouldn't be such a big deal. Turns out, it was actually great! They numbed my throat so well that I barely even felt them sliding the tube in. I remember thinking, "Wait, is that really it? It can't get any easier than this!" 🙂 No gagging, no nausea, nothing. It was like it never even happened. The whole thing lasted just a few minutes, and I spent the entire time staring at my internal organs on the monitor 👍
If I can give one piece of advice, it’s just: don't freak out. Just focus on breathing deeply and relaxing your body—especially your neck area. There was this one split second where the tube was down there and I felt this sudden urge to just reject it, but I forced myself to refocus on my breathing and relax, and everything smoothed right out. I mean, we all deal with way bigger stressors in our daily lives and push through them without making a scene, so there's really no reason to make a mountain out of a molehill over this little procedure 😉
I am absolutely obsessed with The Plaza Hotel! 😍 That blend of visuals and music just totally hooked me, and honestly, the story is so sweet because it doesn't try too hard—it’s just simple and funny. I usually find that you really need to be in love to fully "get" it, and personally, I can't stand those mushy, sappy romance plots, but I actually didn't mind this one. So, I guess it’s a winner. 🙂
I'm heading out too!
Hopefully someone else shows up... It feels a little weird that nobody’s saying anything yet. 😕
Ah, whatever.

Yeah, I’ve got it on a digital file 😉 Shoot me a DM and we'll figure something out!
I’ve been scouring the forums looking for a thread on this movie, but I can't find one anywhere—which is a crime, honestly! 🙏 As the film was playing, I kept thinking this was easily the most straightforward thing Luis Buñuel has ever directed, but man, once those credits rolled...
There is something so incredibly satisfying about a movie that keeps you guessing until the very last second. You spend the whole time wondering: who can you actually trust? Him or her? And then the end hits, and you're still sitting there totally stumped. Maybe I'm just wired differently, but I live for endings like that.
The fact that she's played by two different actresses is such a trip. Was one meant to be more passionate than the other? Or did he cast two people just to drive home the point that Mathieu doesn't truly know her at all? 🤔 And don't even get me started on that bag she carries everywhere. Is it a metaphor for his sexual history? Even the terrorism subplot feels almost like background noise, like Mathieu is so wrapped up in his obsession with Conchit that the rest of the world could be falling apart and he wouldn't notice.
Anyway... long story short... it's a fantastic film. I highly recommend it to anyone who doesn't need every single plot point spoon-fed to them on a silver platter! 👍 👋

I don't know, his songs just feel way too upbeat for me
Just what I heard, anyway
🙂 🙂
I’d personally go for something like Nothing Compares to You 🙂
Looking to drown your sorrows over some heartbreak? 😢
Give This Mortal Coil a shot. Maybe "Song to the Siriti" from the *It'll End in Tears* album—that one really hits home. Or try "Latiti Night" off *Blood*. Yo La Tengo has those moody moments too, like "Don't have to be so sad." And honestly, you've got to catch a Xiu Xiu show at KSET sometime; the raw emotion is like something straight out of a novel. 🙂
Wow! I am absolutely thrilled! Is there actually a list somewhere of all those movies? This is just so lovely, honestly 👋

I usually throw on The Private psychedelic Reel while I'm walking to my running route, and honestly, you just let her rhythm take over. By the time the track wraps up, you’ve already crushed a solid workout. Then, I’ll switch over to star Guitar. As the scenery flashes by, it feels like you're living inside a music video—you don't even realize you've been pounding the pavement for 15 minutes straight. Once that's done, I always finish off with song to The siriti, mostly because you just feel incredibly cool after an experience like that. 😎
"HIGHT" tech cream? Did I seriously miss something?

👍 You literally took the words right out of my mouth! That is hands down the ultimate running soundtrack. 😁 I honestly think a huge part of it is just because their music videos are so iconic. But hey, you could also go with Underworld, Basement Jaxx, or maybe some Pixies, Franz Ferdinand, or even hot hot Heat...
The movie itself wasn't exactly groundbreaking. Honestly, it doesn't really prove anything new—I mean, what else can you expect when you spend your first act stuffing your face with food that even a toddler would know isn't good for them? But hey, look, it's Americans we're talking about; maybe it just never crossed their minds. Unless Oprah brought it up on her show once or something.
Still, you can never go wrong with a bit of anti-American sentiment, so the movie is fine as it is. I could probably give that poor, exhausted guy a little pat on the head and say, "Way to go!" 👍
Man, >! It’s one of those movies where inanimate objects suddenly start talking, and then—surprise!—it turns out to be some deep emotional connection between an object and a kid, which is supposed to be this huge, tear-jerking moment.
It's honestly terrible. But, you know, it can be a total blast if you go into it with the right mindset and hang out with the right crowd... hm... or if you just love that kind of weirdness and happen to be in a great mood... 😁
Anyway, I was reading up on > too, and someone mentioned it’s actually the worst movie ever made. If that's the case, what on earth is this one?! 😕
By the way, I should mention.
Eraserhead is totally twisted, and honestly, I loved it, but it doesn't really mess with your head quite like those two movies do. I’ve got such a soft spot for Lynch because his atmosphere is just unmatched—once you watch one of his films, you don't feel the same anymore. You might be preoccupied with a thousand real-world things, but after a Lynch flick, you're transported to this entirely different realm where everything feels wonderfully weird. His worlds are so far removed from reality, yet somehow they feel so close to our own that they just suck you right in. But hey, that's just me; I know some people walk away feeling pretty depressed.
I also absolutely loved Twin Peaks. Everyone was dragging Dune, but personally? I thought it was great. Maybe it’s because I was obsessed with that Dune strategy game on my computer back in elementary school, and the characters in it felt like they were ripped straight out of a Lynch film. Rabbits is legendary—it feels like Lynch is just getting more and more psychotic with every project! And while Wild at Heart is incredibly cool, it's actually one of my less favorite pieces of his. Man, oh man, Lynch 😍 He needs to get out there and film something new immediately! 👍
Honestly, any movie by Lynch is worth a watch! Of course, not everyone is going to see it that way. Blue Velvet was probably his most "mainstream" hit, so... you have a better shot at not wanting to curse everything in sight once the credits roll. Personally, I’ve always been more drawn to his weirder, more labyrinthine stuff like Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive—the kind of films that leave people absolutely fuming when they walk out of the theater (like seeing a crowd of typical DIF-ovacs show up at a cinema near the Mississippi expecting something simple like American pie instead. 😠 It's honestly exhausting!) Lynch is a total beacon of light in this bland, cookie-cutter world! 🙏
I’m sitting here watching a Faith No More concert right now and I can't help but think: "Man, Mike Patton is so incredibly hot that I’d honestly just want to kidnap him, tie him to a chair, and stare at him all day." He doesn't even have to sing.
So, I gotta know—which musicians give you those same kinds of feelings? 🙂
