Haha, you're exaggerating a bit. Hockey definitely isn't the top sport in Washington, D.C., but man, they really should be broadcasting it.
Fox Sports in Other Sports ·
Basketball: NBA and EuroLeague
Soccer: Matchdays from Italy, England, and the Spanish League
Water Polo: EuroLeague and the Regional Water Polo League
Handball: Our domestic league
Volleyball: Our domestic league
Hockey: ICE Hockey League

It doesn't look like this costs much, and if they pull this off, they'll have the most powerhouse sports network in the country. 😁

Why though? 🤷

Casey White13 said:Of course there's interest! It's fresh, and the potential is huge. My only gripe was how weird the broadcast looked on that unnamed channel—it was stuck in 4:3, so the 16:9 image felt all squished with those black bars on the sides. 😁

By the way, those insane goals by that unnamed guy against Miami were wild 🙏 🙏 🙏

I felt the exact same way. I guess they're still getting used to all this new tech, so they haven't quite figured it out yet. Hopefully, they'll realize how to fix the aspect ratio soon. 😁

That one goal was an absolute screamer. 🙏 🙏

Caught a bit of the game today too. They’ve got some solid announcers on the call, and the commercials actually keep things interesting. Definitely worth watching. 👍

The folks over at HOO say they're purely commercial, but they'll probably lean way harder into domestic sports.

I just caught some Alkar vs. Zadar action, and man, their commentator is solid. Way better than the guy on NBC covering the Champions League. Honestly, I'm already digging this channel, and they've barely even started. 👍

My American settings are back! 👋 I didn't even do anything special, just logged back in and it worked. Figured I'd try that first. 😁

Big thanks to ambermason16 and dustypuma5 for the help. 👍

I’ve never actually changed anything. Out of nowhere, the English version just popped up on its own, but I guess I'll give it a shot since I might've hit something by mistake—I definitely didn't change the language on purpose.

And everything's still stuck in American! 🙂

I’m a little clueless when it comes to all this software finery, but I don't know... did you try reinstalling Firefox or something? Or maybe just wiped out whatever was saving your settings?

I'm assuming you've already poked around in your profile settings... 🤔

I don't know, man... everything I do is in English, my dear stays in English, even my best friend goes by... you guessed it... Alex Cook keeps everything in English. 😬

I gotta admit, I’m feeling a little jealous... 😳 Looks like you got the update and I’m still stuck on the old version... :/

I'll just reset everything later; I'm not really feeling it right now. Still gotta weigh in on the game and stuff. It'll probably get back to normal eventually, but if anyone's got another suggestion, just jump in and let me know!

The forum language is set to American, but it still says Welcome Henry Cox78. 🤷
English? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Does it say Welcome, ambermason16 or Welcome, ambermason16?
English? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It says "Show your signature" right there. Or can you just set that up yourself? 😁

Why'd you guys switch up the language? Welcome Henry Cox78, post New thread, go.

What was wrong with American? 🤷

Andrew Mendoza10 I can't even begin to explain how much this whole situation reminds me of that one time I tried to fix my own plumbing in Chicago—you think you have everything under control, you’ve got your tools laid out, you're feeling pretty confident, and then suddenly the entire basement is an indoor swimming pool because you tightened one bolt too hard. It’s that exact kind of chaotic energy we're dealing with here. Honestly, looking at the way things are unfolding, it feels like we're just circling the drain while everyone pretends everything is perfectly fine. You know, like when a major corporation like ExxonMobil announces some massive "restructuring" that's really just a fancy way of saying they're cutting corners to save a buck, and yet people still line up to buy their stock. It’s absurd, really. We see these patterns repeating over and over again, almost like a bad sitcom where the punchline is always the same, and frankly, I’m getting a little tired of the rerun. Everything feels so unnecessarily complicated when the solution should be staring us right in the face, but instead, we get bogged down in all this bureaucratic nonsense that serves absolutely no one. It's just... yeah. It's a mess.
I mean, most people can usually tell when things have gone sideways, right? It’s common sense. But there’s always that one gray area, that one specific situation where nobody can quite agree on what went down. You get one controversial thread posted, everyone starts losing their minds in the comments, and then the mods step in to drop their take on the whole mess.

I mean, do you even have a topic for this? Seriously, I feel like we’re just staring at a blank wall waiting for someone to actually say something worth reading. It’s like sitting in a diner at 3 AM waiting for a conversation to start when everyone else is just staring into their coffee, you know? If we don't get a thread going, we're just shouting into the void, and frankly, my voice is getting tired from all the silence. So, come on, toss something out there—anything. Give us a spark so we aren't just sitting here twiddling our thumbs. So, I’ve been sitting here staring at my inbox, and honestly, I’m just losing my mind over these endless complaints regarding the cardboard shipments. It’s like everyone suddenly became an expert in structural engineering overnight! You know how it goes—you deliver a perfectly fine batch of boxes, and suddenly you’ve got people acting like you sent them nothing but wet tissue paper. They start filing these formal grievances about the quality of the packaging, and frankly, it feels like we're being nitpicked by people who wouldn't know a decent corrugated sheet if it hit them in the face. It’s one thing to have a minor issue with a corner being slightly dented during transit, but now it feels like a full-blown crusade against the very concept of cardboard. If we spent half as much time actually shipping product as we do reading these ridiculous complaints, we’d probably be running the whole damn country by now. Honestly, it's exhausting.

A dedicated thread where we actually sit down and philosophize about the whole "deleting posts" thing? Yeah, I don't see that ever happening, which is probably for the best because we’d all just end up talking in circles until the heat death of the universe. It's like trying to have a deep conversation about the ethics of urban renewal while standing in the middle of a construction zone—too much noise, too much ego, and everyone’s just too busy defending their own little corner of the sidewalk to actually listen. Honestly, if we started debating whether scrubbing our digital footprints is an act of self-preservation or just a cowardly way to dodge accountability, we'd never get anything else done. We'd be stuck in this endless loop of "what if" and "should have," much like those people who spend three hours debating which brand of bottled water tastes most like "purity" when we all know it's just filtered tap water from a municipal plant in Ohio. But hey, since nobody's going to start that existential crisis of a thread, I guess we'll just keep drifting along in this digital void, leaving our old mistakes exactly where they are for everyone to judge later.

I mean, if you really stop to think about it, how many posts like that could we actually be looking at in a single day? I’m talking maybe twenty, maybe thirty if the caffeine kicks in and everyone starts typing at once.

Look, you’re missing at least one zero here. Actually, scratch that—you might be missing two. 😁

It’s honestly wild when a moderator starts acting like they’re running some kind of absolute dictatorship, as if we haven't moved past those old-school authoritarian days. But let's be real—it feels like we're still stuck in that mindset today, doesn't it? It seems like anyone who gets even a tiny shred of authority over a group immediately starts thinking they can play the role of a second Marshall or Jadranka, tossing their weight around like they own the place.

Let’s be real, there’s never actually been any democracy on this forum. The whole system is basically built on the absolute whims of the moderators—and don't even get me started on the admins sitting way above them—who just do whatever they feel like without checking in with anyone else. 🙂

We get it, you guys are just like the US government. ☕

Swap that out for this sentence instead—it’s a way more accurate way to describe what the mods actually do. ☕

Through their rules and how they run things, the moderators aim to achieve the following:

* ensuring the smooth flow of information between users
* maintaining an environment that fosters constructive discussion
* upholding equality and respect for every member who follows the basic forum principles

Protests against Islamists in Lebanon in World ·
Jeremy Harris21 said:That’s the fundamental issue with Muslims—they tend to believe everything they're told and consistently overextend themselves, giving way far more than they ever should.
Thirty percent of people holding fifty percent of seats in Congress.
In a city like Pittsburgh, twenty percent Christians end up controlling fifty percent of the local government.

Just imagine if we were talking about a Christian land where Muslims suddenly grabbed fifty percent of the power; it wouldn't happen in a million years.
Or take a small town in the Midwest—you’ll never see them seizing fifty percent of the authority.

And yet, they still keep reaching for more.

They’re probably still using old census data in Pittsburgh. The fix is simple: run a new census, but nobody wants to do that. So, deal with the consequences. 😁

Ethan Morales22 said:We’re talking about completely different cultural and religious models here! Especially when you consider how they grease up Habib with those stories about 33 Black beauties waiting for him in heaven...

And as for those Mexican/American duels—surely the people who were busy slaughtering each other didn't exactly walk away forming lifelong friendships after killing one another... 🤷

.

Man, you are seriously lost in your own head. Right, because the Americans in their little sliding truck are definitely going to cause chaos in Afghanistan by leveling some village they had no business touching—and then Habiba will remember that tiny truck with the American flag and pull off a terror attack in Times Square twenty years later, which is thousands of miles 3.1 miles from Afghanistan. 🤣

Ethan Morales22 said:I was reading your news outlets earlier, and apparently, your soldiers showed up in Afghanistan without even a single pistol. Seriously? 🤷

By the way...
How much did you guys end up paying those "beauties"? 🙂

Didn't you guys go overboard paying way too much for those armored vehicles from Finland or Sweden or wherever? 🙂

.

Supposedly this was an American donation, so we actually paid for them $0.00, but they're supposedly in Afghanistan now. Allegedly. 😁

The guys heading to Afghanistan get fully kitted out, so don't even worry about it. Plus, I hear the pay is solid.

As for the Patrie stuff, I have no clue. There was definitely some shady business going on there. 😁

Honestly, they would've crushed them even like this if Hitler had just listened to Guderian and sent him toward Moscow instead of Kyiv.

They *are* doing it for America, but really it's all about US strategic interest. At the very least, they'll be back in a year once the full withdrawal from Afghanistan kicks off.

Ethan Morales22 said:Yeah, right. I heard they’re actually heading over there to plant flower gardens and spruce up the landscaping in Kandahar! 👍

And if some Americans ask them to plant a few rows of cabbage, I bet they'll give them a huge middle finger! 👍
