Come on, it's great that you finally made a decision. Best of luck!!!
Carol Diaz31 said:I’m going to be sending these to everyone for two main reasons:

1) I feel this sudden wave of happiness every single time I look at my old nose while I'm uploading photos. 😂

2) Honestly, I want to hear people complimenting my new nose just as many times as I heard them complain about how ugly the old one was. 😂

Your nose looks absolutely amazing. 😍

I’m really hoping that I'll be able to proudly share photos of my own new nose very soon. 😁
I’d honestly love it if you could share some photos of those new outfits. I think I’ll need something to look at whenever I start feeling like giving up on the surgery altogether.🙏
Congrats on those beautiful braces; I really hope they stay looking just that good 😍

Did you deal with any bruising before the molds were taken?
Jeremy Barrett7 said:Is it actually standard procedure to go in for surgery while on your period, or has anyone here had their surgery pushed back because of it?
I'm asking because I just did the math, and it looks like my cycle will hit right during my scheduled date.

I’m in a similar boat—it looks like I’ll be starting my period right before the surgery, too. I actually started taking birth control pills to try and shift the timing, and my doctor mentioned that it should be fine; they suggested I stay on them a bit longer so I don't end up getting it immediately following the procedure.

I suppose I'm also a little worried about whether I can even proceed if it happens earlier than expected...
rustygardener172, that sounds somewhat comforting, I suppose. I’ve been weighing the idea of surgery for about a year now, and honestly, whenever I try breathing through my mouth, I just start to panic. Back when I was actually sick, I used to breathe through my mouth and tell myself, "It'll be fine, this is just how it'll feel after the procedure," but now that I'm thinking about it clearly, the anxiety is hitting me all over again. I'm really just hoping everything functions naturally afterward and that I can somehow manage; my only real fear is the nasal packing 😢 aside from that, I don't think I'm too worried.
Rachel Fisher97 said:Ladies, try to look on the bright side... Maria Hall92 mentioned you won't be able to eat normally for a while... but summer is right around the corner, so I suppose nobody is going to mind if you drop a few pounds.😁😁
Now, regarding the actual removal surgery... I have to admit, I'm feeling a little bit apprehensive about that part... though perhaps just a little. 🙄 ....Actually, I think I'm more nervous about the anesthesia, even if Maria Hall92 has been quite reassuring about it.👍

The one thing that truly provides some comfort is the thought of losing a few pounds.🙂
Kate Taylor59 said:How deep are we talking? Like, roughly how much? 😂
And once they pull them out, will I be able to breathe normally, or is there some kind of breathing issue involved?

My sister actually showed me, and it looked to be about 2 inches deep. Personally, I’m not too worried about the actual removal process; it’s just the thought of it that makes me feel nauseous—and they haven't even put them in yet.😁
Maria Hall92 said:The first day is manageable, I suppose... but by the second day, I can already feel my nerves starting to fray, and I still have to get through all of tomorrow. Honestly, having those nasal plugs removed is just unpleasant; you really have to grit your teeth through that part, too.

I honestly couldn't sleep a wink after this last one; I'm just terrified... If you're feeling on edge even though you're such a brave soul, then I’ll probably end up trying to pull those plugs out myself once the panic sets in. I have an absolutely awful fear of choking, so just the thought of those tampons makes me spiral.😱

Elizabeth Collins5, did you see Dr. Glušac for your own lumps?
amberbadger81 said:How did your consultation with Bastaić go? Did you get to see any of his previous work? And what was the deciding factor for choosing him?

He didn't actually show me any portfolios, but since I knew he wasn't the type to display them, I didn't push for it. He did mention that my nose volume is quite significant for my face shape, and he promised to create a straight, natural look that would actually complement my features—and I suppose I feel fairly confident that he'll deliver on that. 😍 My main concern right now is just getting through the surgery itself and surviving those first three days with the nasal packing. 🙄 He plans to remove the splint on the sixth day and is insisting that I stay in New York City during that six-day window.

As for what made me decide... honestly, everything I read about him here was positive, I saw one of his results that I really liked, and I just had a strong gut feeling that he was the right choice. 😁 It also helps that he offers overnight stays for the first night, which is a relief.
On top of all that, it just so happened that he had an opening on the exact day I wanted, whereas his schedule is otherwise completely booked up—he even showed me his calendar. 😁
I've officially scheduled my surgery with Dr. Bastaić for June 20th.
Honestly, I’m already feeling a bit overwhelmed just thinking about having to deal with those three days of wearing tampons. 😢
Sending all my best to Carol Diaz31 and Dana Wood26!!! Please, do let us know if you get some good results 😍
Sophia Hill22 said:Sorry, but that honestly sounds completely unprofessional to me!

Who was she seeing?

During my own consultations, everyone examined my nose thoroughly—they checked it both externally and internally. I wouldn't trust anyone who acts like they’re just winging it blindly—certainly not when it comes to my face.

I paid for my consultation $83 with Dr. Bastaić; I suppose I can't speak for how others were treated.

I was actually wondering about that too... She went to see Dr. Ignatovski, and she dealt with quite a few complications. She had both functional and aesthetic work done, and I guess she's satisfied given how bad things were before, even if her nose looks a bit like a slide now—it's much wider at the bridge than at the tip, which looks somewhat odd. He told her it would settle down over time, but it hasn't; perhaps it's some sort of bone remodeling issue... She paid $1,000 for the surgery.
If anyone is feeling generous, I’d be so incredibly grateful if you could share some photos of your latest outfits! Plizz!

I haven't quite made up my mind on where to go yet, but since I'm planning on having surgery in about eight months, I suppose I have enough time to head out for some consultations if that's what's required... My colleague actually managed to coordinate her entire procedure just over the phone without even needing an in-person consultation, 🤷
