The Internet? 🤷
Quick question... in Forum Help! ·
If you're talking about the actual technical side of approving things—you know, like when a name changes from blue to black—that's strictly in the hands of the admins.

As for how one actually becomes a mod... link
How do I use Multi-Quote? in Forum Help! ·
It’s really not that complicated... A standard quote:

You just hit the button, type out your response below all that stuff, and click "Post Reply."

If you just want to quote a single sentence or a specific snippet from a post:

Hit the button, then delete any text that you don't want included in your quote, leaving only the specific part you actually care about. Just a heads-up—you have to make sure the
and
tags stay intact; the quote must start with
and end with
. (The capitalization doesn't matter, by the way—there's no difference between "QUOTE" and "quote") Then, just write your reply underneath it all.

Now, if you want to quote multiple sentences and break them up:

Honestly, the easiest way is to just copy and paste the individual sentences manually, and then simply wrap them by placing
before the sentence and
after it. It helps to space them out with a few line breaks using the Enter key so it doesn't look like a total mess. Then, you just slot your own responses into those empty spaces between the quotes. To keep things simple, here’s an example:

This is the first sentence.

This is my first response.

This is the second sentence.

This is my second response.

This is the third sentence.

This is my third response.

Once you post it, this is how it'll look:

Here's another example for you: http://www.example-us-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1...7&postcount=41

P.S. When you're testing this out, don't try quoting a post that already has a quote inside it—that's just asking for a headache. It's better to practice on a plain text post, like post #57 on this thread. 😉
How do I upload images and videos to the forum? in Forum Help! ·
Way to go. Just a quick heads-up though—most forums around here won't let you post an image wider than 640 pixels. So, you might want to double-check the dimensions before you hit upload. 😉

1. Type out your post.
2. Hit the "Manage Attachments" button.
3. Pick whatever file you need from your computer—just make sure it’s under 9.8 KB. You’ve got to stick to the approved file types, too (usually people just attach documents here anyway).
4. Click Upload and just sit there for a second while it processes.
5. Finally, hit "Post Reply" to publish everything. Your attachment should show up right under your message once it's live.

Just a heads-up: you won't see the attachment while you're in preview mode or if you go back in to edit the post. Also, why bother uploading something that’s already sitting on a server somewhere? It's much easier to just drop a direct link.

Can I get that period removed from my username? I only added it because there's already a user named jadetrucker43 out there—though, honestly, they haven't been active on this forum since November 25, 2006. image

Nope. I can't just delete existing users, even if they've been MIA for years. You'll have to stick with the dot in your name. 😛>
Moderator and Super-mod requirements/criteria in Feedback & Suggestions ·
If someone isn't already a moderator before they step into a fashion role, then they really ought to be an active presence in that specific subforum—contributing, hanging out, actually knowing what makes that community tick.
But let’s be real, there are times when you just can't find a candidate who fits that mold, so you end up pulling an existing moderator from a different section of the site instead. When that happens, you run the risk of having a mod who doesn't actually have a clue about the day-to-day vibes or the specific knowledge held by the regulars in that particular corner of the forum...
Moderator and Super-mod requirements/criteria in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Basically, we start looking for new mods whenever a specific subforum needs some extra muscle. It usually happens because an old mod has either moved on or just gone ghost—or sometimes the traffic spikes so much that we actually need more hands on deck to keep things from spiraling.
When that happens, the current mods for that section (along with any other active mods hanging out there) will toss out some names for potential replacements. We aren't just picking people at random, obviously; we’re looking closely at their track record with warnings, how they carry themselves in discussions, their general vibe, and whether they actually know their stuff regarding the topics in that subforum. Once we have a candidate in mind, we reach out via PM to see if they're even interested. Some people jump at the chance, while others... well, they pass.

Well, you just use the Find all threads started by Nick button... It’s there for a reason, isn't it?
What's the best movie title ever? in Movies ·
"Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead Part 2: In Shocking 2-D"

Yeah, I’m serious—that actually is the full title. IMDB link. 😬

If you want to complain about card pulls, there's a dedicated thread here. But of course, why bother reading when you can just jump in blindly? It’s the same pattern—you didn't bother scrolling through the thread before dropping your comment, which you actually admitted yourself:
cosmicfox31 said:My bad, I didn't read the thread—what are we even arguing about here?

Honestly, I'm not even surprised, considering how you kicked things off with:
cosmicfox31 said:I'll probably get banned for this, but whatever.

Anyway, let's all just sit here and whine over a measly 10 points... 🙄

My question hasn't changed. You can't actually see all eleven pages of your user profile on Forbes, right? And you didn't mention anything about the "User Control Panel" settings...
I'm a moderator, so I don't know if regular users see things differently—my layout and options are a bit different. Look, my question was meant to be helpful. But of course, Michelle Alvarez8 just couldn't pass up the first chance to jump down my throat and get insulting... ☕

That’s interesting. Are you really not seeing all eleven pages of the file they handed you? 🤔

It’s right there in the headline. Honestly, I didn't even bother reading the rest. ☕

Oh yeah, sponsored topic is a massive risk for this whole community. 😬

But hey... we’ve got Axmi, so who else would we even need from the admin team? 😛

Lucky. 🙄

If you’re looking to pull in a few different posts at once, just hit that "Multi-Quote" option—it's right there next to the standard Quote button—for every message you want to reference, except for the very last one. Once you've tagged them all, just click the regular Quote button on that final post. Everything should automatically wrap itself in those quote tags, giving you the freedom to clean up any fluff, bold the parts that actually matter, or slide your own commentary in between the blocks of text. It's pretty straightforward, really.

Personally, I’m already handing out a 10-point penalty for Offtopic/Spam whenever I see a post that consists of nothing but a single smiley face—usually just 😂 or 🤦.

Look, smileys are meant to give some flavor or emotion to what you're actually writing, not to serve as a standalone post.
Are moderators breaking the rules? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The real headache in a situation like this is that one moderator can't just hand out a strike to another moderator. You’d have to drag a super-mod or an admin into the mix to actually issue the penalty—which, let's be honest, is just way too much bureaucratic nonsense and extra work over some trivial little strike.
Another thing is, when someone is being outright abusive or pulling some serious trolling during a game, even the moderators aren't off the hook. They get penalized too.
