Taylor Swift: Appeal against an appeal in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Yeah, I actually asked my interlocutors why women—specifically women, rather than, say, hippos—were being discussed, since the debate was centered on female essence. I just wanted to hear their take on what defines womanhood versus something else entirely... 🤷

Look, the question is basically on par with the two of us debating what makes us human. If I were to ask you what makes you a person instead of, I don't know, a mosquito? Or a mushroom, an orangutan, a fruit fly, or even a hippo? If we're discussing the very nature of being, then I don't see any trolling here—I was being deadly serious... 🤷

For instance, I could have asked my conversationalist what makes them a woman rather than a non-woman, but that just sounds ridiculous. How would you even go about asking someone what makes them a woman instead of something else? 🤷 I mean, what’s wrong with hippos? Is there some other animal that would be more "acceptable" to use in this context?

At the time, I didn't think an apology was necessary since you were acting like you had all the facts right, so I just didn't take you seriously.

Mea culpa. Next time I'll be more serious, and I'll make sure to offer my apologies in a timely fashion—though, if my experience is anything to go by, complaining rarely gets anyone anywhere...

Since you're already here, though, could you shed some light on why I got flagged in that one post of mine? You know, the one where I asked: "Can you explain why you're a woman instead of a Nile hippo, seeing as our fine moderator can't?"

Well, you're the one who handed out the penalty, so walk me through exactly what part of that was considered trolling. I'd love to learn how to stay in line so I don't keep making the same mistakes. 🙂

Aha, okay, I see where we're at now. Honestly, though, I feel like this could have been handled much more directly in the 'ban appeals' section, don't you think? 🤷

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up—even if it is a bit late. A whole week... 😁

Is this some kind of inside joke or what?

I’m over here in the "ban corner" trying to appeal my suspension. Am I at least entitled to have someone actually acknowledge my appeal, or is this whole thing just a big game of "not me, not him"?

Look, I’d settle for someone just telling me to "get lost, you're being annoying," honestly. But even that? Apparently, we little forum nobodies aren't even worth the breath it takes to write a single sentence. 🤷

I’m looking for an explanation as to why none of the admins have bothered to address my appeal in the 'Banned Users Corner.'

What is even the point of having a 'Banned Users Corner' if it's just going to be ignored?

This year in America, I lost count of how many people were detained just for shouting "the ref is blind" because of Jerry Maguire, and things got just as heated in Denver over Joe Biden. The reason I’m hitting this topic so hard on the forum is that I personally feel like the boundaries of free speech are shrinking—and honestly, I feel like I have a responsibility to push back against it.

That isn't really a shrinking of free speech; it’s actually the expansion of political correctness. Eventually, it'll spread so far that you'll only be able to write with white letters on a white background—or maybe black letters on a black background (I added that part just so no one feels marginalized)... ☕

Oh, and heaven forbid someone mentions that it might be time to grow out of using colored fonts... 🤣

Just an update to the political correctness handbook: if a Black American says they're proud to be Black, a White American isn't allowed to say they're proud to be White. It works the same way for any group—if a certain ethnic group is proud of their heritage, an American from a different background shouldn't dare claim pride in theirs, especially here in the States... 😁

🤦

Maybe the issue really is just the hosting... 😁 😁 😁

Edit: Another addition to the PC manual: you aren't allowed to call a creationist stupid; you have to respect their "right to an opinion."🤣

With political correctness being the trend of the day, you practically can't say anything anymore—heaven forbid you call some idiot an idiot, or send a facepalm to some clown on a forum... 🤦

Seriously, God forbid you identify someone by their background. You can't just tell a Black man he's Black, or mention someone's heritage—you have to walk on eggshells. You’ve got to ask if they’re "proud" of their skin tone first, or check if an immigrant feels at home in the States. And don't even get me started on certain groups; asking them about their origins is a minefield. Honestly, most of these trolls should be out working in the fields instead of clogging up internet forums—maybe then we'd see fewer protests... 😁

To hell with political correctness... ☕
Can I take a moment to vent about William Gonzalez3 and his blatant phobia of bare butts? Look, I get it—the guy is clearly uncomfortable, and he’s out here disrespecting our sacred traditions. At this rate, he might as well start drawing caricatures of naked rear ends just to complete the bit...

I honestly don't see where this is heading. Those of us who appreciate the aesthetic are practically being discriminated against on the Philosophy subforum. If things don't change, I’m prepared to take this to the higher authorities because I won't let this slide. William Gonzalez3 keeps deleting posts about butts, even though the rules strictly state that male anatomy is fair game in the philosophy section and shouldn't be censored—all in the name of "preserving historical legacy," apparently...

So, yeah. I’m calling on the Head Admin to step up. Unless you're at least 6'5", don't bother responding to my complaint...

I’ll paste a little joke about atheists for you—found it in about two seconds of Googling:

''An atheist was hiking through the woods:
- Look at how magnificent these trees are!
- How powerful these rivers are!
- What wonderful animals! he thought to himself.
While walking along a riverbank, he heard a rustle in the brush behind him. He spun around just in time to see a massive, six-foot grizzly bear charging straight for him.
He bolted down the trail as fast as his legs could carry him. He glanced over his shoulder, only to see the bear gaining ground.
He looked back again—the bear was getting closer and closer.
Then, he tripped and slammed into the ground.
He scrambled to get up, but saw the bear looming over him, reaching out with its left paw while raising its right one to strike.

In that split second, the atheist cried out:
Oh, God!

Time froze.
The bear went rigid!
Silence fell over the forest….
The man found himself bathed in a brilliant light, and a voice boomed from the heavens:
- You have denied my existence all these years, telling others that I am not real; you even claim the creation of the world was nothing more than some cosmic accident.
Do you really expect me to step in and bail you out of this mess?
Am I supposed to count you as a believer now?

The atheist looked directly into the light and said:
- It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly demand you treat me like a Christian. But perhaps you could make the bear a Christian?
- Very well! said the voice.

The light vanished. The sounds of the forest rushed back to life. And the bear lowered its right paw, brought it toward its left, bowed its head as if in prayer, and said:
“God, bless this food you provide me today through our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!“

🤣🤣🤣

See, there’s your funny joke about atheists. Yours, on the other hand, are absolute garbage...

Morgan Carter said:Yet, I see even a Banker got banned after this thread started. We're making progress.

Well, yeah—a post like that is a textbook violation, and the mods will definitely step in to sanction it. I haven't spent a ton of time lurking in the political subforums, but I’ve never run into trouble myself; whenever I messed up, I just took my L and moved on. Honestly, I think the political section is moderated much more strictly than the religion boards...

The other issue is that some users just don't grasp the rules. They seem to think they can report every single post that happens to rub them the wrong way, assuming there'll be a penalty...☕

Let's look at a specific example from this current thread: someone claimed "Canadians are scum." That's a malicious generalization targeting an entire group. If he had written "some Canadians are scum," or "there is scum among Canadians," that would actually be a valid post—because, let's face it, there's scum in any group, whether you're talking about Canadians, Americans, or Chileans... 🤷

Justin Harris12 said:To you, every Muslim user automatically looks like an extremist. Fine—call me one then. Even though I’ve never once been flagged or banned on this forum, maybe you should consider that the common denominator here might actually be you. 🤷

It’s definitely not everyone—far from it. It’s mostly the new arrivals who haven't quite figured out how to navigate a forum yet. They tend to pick up a ban pretty quickly because they don't realize this isn't some isolated chat room in the middle of nowhere; it's a modern communication platform with its own set of rules and expectations.

I’d point to Islamists and Taj, for instance—prime examples of Muslim dominance—as subjects I’ve occasionally engaged in heated debates over. I always make sure to keep those discussions civil, though—meeting them exactly where they are. I wouldn't dream of judging my own intellectual depth against theirs; my level is what it is, and that’s perfectly fine by me. Honestly, most of these Muslim "missionaries" won't even reach that standard of discourse, even if they spent ten years posting on this forum.

Morgan Carter said:🤣
What kind of sentence is that? What exactly am I supposed to take away from this? Look—don't troll me. If you actually have something to say, just say it and post the whole thing. If someone broke the rules and didn't get penalized for it, feel free to share that with us.

Don't go jumping to conclusions—the people who actually need to know will already recognize where that sentence came from. ☕

Morgan Carter said:If you've got grievances regarding Muslims, then just start a new thread and lay it all out. That's how we handle things here—just be direct about what’s bothering you.

See, that’s exactly the pattern I’m talking about—it’s their standard playbook. The second you disagree with them, suddenly you’re "harboring frustrations toward Muslims." Then, in the next post, you’re just some "irrational person who fails to grasp Islam." And by the third one? You've been labeled an "Islamophobe." It’s a predictable cycle. 🤦

Morgan Carter said:So, what exactly are we doing here? 🤣

Give me some actual examples. I’m genuinely curious—what was it that hit you so hard? Maybe it’s just the fact that we stood our ground against people like you, who try to judge an entire group based on the actions of a few individuals. 🤦

Honestly, I could go on forever about what you all are up to... 🤣🤣 🤣

I've spent plenty of time analyzing it. You can do whatever you want—it doesn't bother me. In fact, the more you talk, the more you reveal exactly who you are and what you truly believe.

Take a sentence like this, for instance: "Even if I hated Americans, I'd still have a reason..."

???

Is there even any point in continuing a conversation after a statement like that? Personally, I don't think so.

Morgan Carter said:And that’s why you can just slap some labels on things and try to hawk them here.

I certainly can. If you're able to do it, so am I. My argument is settled—and quite frankly, so is this debate with you. ☕

Morgan Carter said:At the end of the day, he isn't the main issue. He isn't an isolated case, either. If it were just him, we could deal with it easily.

Exactly—he's secondary. What matters is the pattern you're following. I have to tell you, most of the Muslims on this forum actually serve as anti-propaganda against their own faith. Barring a few rare exceptions, everyone else just reinforces the negative stereotypes non-Muslims hold about you. With rhetoric like yours, you're really just digging that hole deeper... ☕

Justin Harris12 said:I don't think that's the issue—at least not when we're talking about Hbvelidov. Sure, he was sharp-tongued, but he backed everything up with an argument. I never saw him harbor hate toward anyone; he just fought for what was right and couldn't stand seeing injustice. Honestly, I've seen plenty of your posts regarding religion that were clearly designed to stir the pot. That kind of intolerance toward different faiths or nationalities is exactly what triggers these arguments.

See, that’s where I completely disagree. The man is essentially a missionary archetype with a fixed agenda that he won't deviate from by even a millimeter. Arguments? Hardly. He relies on platitudes and sweeping generalizations—his go-to weapons. And if anyone dares to hold a differing opinion, he immediately pivots to ad hominem attacks. When he fails to rattle his opponent, he runs straight to the moderators, playing the victim and claiming he's being "persecuted."🤦

As I stated before, he isn't an outlier. Most of these newly registered 🙄 Muslim "crusaders for justice" operate with the exact same playbook: they label anyone who disagrees with them as "haters," "fascists," or "ignorant fools who just don't get it"—blah, blah, blah. And you're falling right into that pattern too... ☕

But don't worry, you haven't scared me off. One less dissenter for you to deal with... 😍

crimsoncrane24 surprises me here. The guy was actually a decent conversationalist. It seems he's also been swept up in this "righteous struggle for Islam"—if I use that phrase, I'll probably be accused of being "Islamophobic" or whatever terminology people are using these days... ☕

Morgan Carter said:Give me a break. You really think Velid would write that all Americans are scum? He wouldn't have made it this far if he did. But apparently, when you say the exact same thing about Canadians, it’s perfectly fine. It's "civilized." Right.

I haven't weighed in on the PDF policy—mostly because I didn't participate in those specific debates and don't plan to—but my take is based strictly on what I've seen in the religion section...
Racist/nationalist outbursts from some of the moderators in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Morgan Carter said:He isn't following in Velid's footsteps at all. Velid pointed out perfectly how the site rules are being ignored without anyone actually facing consequences—mostly because it's not about Americans. If they don't care about us, who cares? Personally, I don't mind if insults are allowed, but then the rules need to be clearly defined so everyone knows where they stand.

It’s pretty obvious what’s happening—some people just don't know how to have a civilized discussion. Then, they throw a tantrum when moderators rightfully step in, and honestly, their ignorance ends up putting pressure on the whole community, driving away the decent users... ☕
