It isn't quite that black and white—honestly. I’m sick of people ringing their bells at me on the sidewalk just because they want me to move out of the way. You learn in first grade that you ride your bike on the right side of the road, not on the sidewalk. Of course, those twenty-foot gaps in the bike lanes that the police use as excuses to hand out tickets are total nonsense and need to change—but ringing your bell on a sidewalk in Chicago has become almost standard practice, and I'm all for penalizing that.

Like, they say I'd basically be ruining their young lives 🤣as if I'm the one forcing them to get behind the wheel drunk or something.
He deserves at least ten years behind bars—and once he's out, another decade of handing over 30% of his paycheck to the victims and their families.
Basically, if you get caught with anything over a .08 BAC, you’re looking at an 18-month license suspension—minimum—plus a hefty fine—and once that period is up, you have to retake the driving test. If you're a repeat offender, they double the penalty. Good luck with that.
Look, I get it—everyone wants a drink at weddings, baptisms, or birthdays. I’ll have one myself sometimes—but only if I'm certain enough to stay put long enough to flush my system with water or juice at least two hours before I have to get behind the wheel.
You have to realize—the real issue isn't risking your own life—it's the fact that you might end up taking down some third party who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
