Well—regarding her hair from that He War clip—it was quite striking. 🙂 Though this one from the left side is quite good as well—don't you think?
Wow, what a massive shift compared to last year's 😬 —I've just been listening to so much of this lately...

Visuals. 🤣 Pure effects—real ninja stuff. My favorite part is alongside Bright Eyes—provided the film doesn't actually melt from those glowing eyes...??!
edit: Dear grumpy moderator—just let me be a bit eccentric. I find those two tracks rather slimy—even if they are admittedly beautiful. Keep the Edwyn Collins one. It’s a shame my own sense of taste isn't as sharp as yours—though feel free to leave them out when you're putting together that compilation for your sweetheart. No hard feelings on my end.
The director decided to play word games... backwards? 😬
Anyway—whatever it was called—the Ark is worth a watch. I highly recommend it. Russia is truly stunning 😍 and that particular take looks absolutely incredible. My apologies, of course, to the wonderful Mike Figgis... at time code it definitely looks twenty times better 😍
I find Sokurov’s sense of pretension quite charming—it has a certain gravity to it. I first saw Mother and Son years ago, so I suppose I can't exactly call it my favorite—that feels too simplistic—but it is certainly the closest thing to it. There is something deeply moving about the bond between father and son in that film. As for the Russian Ark... 🙂
