I guess Kompot is here to ease our minds about this whole new threat of a Great Mexican invasion...

Modern-day Mexicans are just such wonderful, lovely people...

They really just want half of Canada, Mexico, and Mexico...just to get things started,...

And they'd love for America to stop celebrating its independence...

So there's no point worrying about those Greater Mexican types coming back to power soon—they're probably even worse than the ones from 1991...

And sure, let's just pretend the Royalists were anti-fascists...

(scavenging through the waste left by American paratroopers)...
Kompot wants a Greater Mexico...

(but Mexico doesn't have any territorial claims against anyone)...

Why don't you just admit you're bitter? Maybe you're just mad because what Mexicans tried to pull in America didn't work as well as what you guys partially managed in Canada. Just say you're praying to God that one day you can reunite with the Republic of Mexican Appalachia.

Real moderate of you...

(Come on, far-right extremists in Mexico, please save us from these moderates and their delusions)...

Maybe I'll reward you by staying silent on this forum until Easter. 😁

Thinking back to that Christmas card of yours about "fantasy holidays," and knowing how cynical you are, this "until Easter" thing might just mean you'll start posting again right on Easter Sunday...

Regardless of whether you respect truces, it’s a shame I can't return the favor, since celebrating atheist holidays doesn't really make sense (celebrating nothing). But I guess I could compromise and stick to a truce until Tomato Day...☕

To fill hell forever? Is heaven lacking entertainment?

God gives us free will specifically so we can create ourselves...

Your point only makes sense if free will actually doesn't exist...

If free will exists, your whole argument is nonsense...

It’s pretty obvious you don't believe in free will, which means you don't believe in guilt either. To you, God is responsible for everything...

Question for you...

If you claim we are just what we are because of nature or God—meaning we have zero free will—then why are you so obsessed with painting Christians as monsters?

Maybe it's just stupid memes. I mean, you aren't even responsible for not being a meme, since nature or God decided you wouldn't be, not you...

So, what's the actual difference between you and Thomas the Fool?

Or between you and those crazy inquisitors?

Or between you and me?

Because if there's no free will, there's no difference. It's all just something else's doing. So why get so angry at religious fanatics...?

Why even try to influence anything with your writing if you truly believe nature dictates everything...?

You're basically stumbling around in an atheist "illusion of meaning". You take the atheist belief in a meaningless existence and try this acrobatic maneuver to turn it into some supposed struggle for a better, more advanced world...

What kind of struggle can there be if we don't have free will...?

Just atheist acrobatic nonsense......

Anyone who doesn't believe in free will can't call for change, because that's just a contradiction and total stupidity...

Living forever without the chance to ever stop sounds like a nightmare of desolation to me.

This kind of intellectual hibernation when imagining heavenly pleasures comes from a desire to make Christian reality look worse than the atheist one (merging with filthy crap, excuse me, stars)...

Why does someone choose to rape? Well, again, it's because "God gave them" a broken brain lacking certain empathy centers.

No, seriously, in some parts of the world, rapists make up 50% of the male population (Orange Farm), while in all of South Africa, that percentage is around 25%... and let's not even talk about war conditions, or we'll have to start conjuring apocalyptic rivers of blood...

Basically, you just have to set the circumstances to see who most people around Washington, D.C. really are—people whose biggest sin is stabbing others in the back or constantly insulting and bullying everyone they meet...

I don't know where people get off thinking there are folks walking around us who are just pure evil and deserve eternal torture. It’s a monstrous way to think, I guess. Just a really twisted idea.

I know a ton of people who:

They just love talking trash. Honestly, they exist just to insult and humiliate people in the most disgusting ways possible—all just for their own sick amusement. They trample all over everyone else just to have a laugh. I guess that's just how they are.

It wouldn't even help you if you decided to starve yourself right in front of them... I guess.

They’re just so incredibly jealous of anything that actually holds value in this life. Honestly, I think they’d rather see you get run over on a highway in Chicago than see you succeed. It's pathetic, really. This kind of human malice pops up in every era, I guess. Just look at how things went down during the Nazi era—it was basically just mass jealousy from a huge chunk of society directed right at the Jews. They were collectively targeted, and most of the German people actually backed it.)...

The absolute worst part about all of this is that look in their eyes. I mean, Jesus really nailed it when he said...They say the eyes are the lamp of the soul. I guess that makes sense, in a way. Maybe. It’s like looking directly into someone's core, if you believe all that stuff. Or maybe it's just biology. Who knows? You can justify just about anything a person does. Maybe they were acting out of pure spite, or maybe they were just being incredibly boring. I guess that’s fine. But there is one thing you just can't defend—it's actually impossible to justify that specific look in someone's eyes. When you look at a person, you can see their entire world playing out in their head. You can read them. And when you realize someone is looking down at you like you’re some kind of lesser creature... without an ounce of love or even a shred of compassion? Yeah. That’s the worst.

If they got a second chance, I guess they wouldn't just stop at rape. They’d probably just keep torturing everyone in sight, endlessly, without ever feeling even a shred of regret for the evil they do.

People like that... I mean, they really are. Pure evil....

When it comes to the realm of evil—whatever they're actually capable of—those people are just pure evil. Plain and simple. I guess God can try to plant a little seed of goodness in them through good people or maybe some spiritual intervention, but that’s about it. If they refuse to take it? Well, then pure evil is just going to be their fate forever. Period.

It’s not even about what they deserve, really. It’s more about where they actually belong. They belong in a world without love, but honestly, the worst of them? They belong somewhere much darker than that.Because, let's be real, not everyone is built the same.Honestly, even after you die, you shouldn't go entertaining that offer the Devil made to Jesus regarding all the kingdoms of this world. I guess it’s just better to stay away from that kind of temptation entirely. But without the kingdom of heaven in your heart...Honestly, I don't think just punishing them isn't enough. They really need to be punished for all eternity. Some people just straight-up deserve to suffer... I guess.

So, you live in Washington, D.C.?

Tell me which neighborhood you're talking about, because I'm pretty sure I've never even crossed paths with anyone from that part of town. To the dwellers of hell.... ?

So, I guess you guys who actually believe in an eternal hell are just going to spend forever living "amidst a pile of garbage." According to St. Fool, the blessed folks in heaven spend their entire existence staring down at the damned in hell, watching them suffer—and they’re happy about it. Even if those people suffering happen to be their own kids. So, basically, you'll spend all of eternity stuck right next to that absolute trash heap of men and women you call people.

This is honestly great news...

God is just so good that we’re actually going to have constant oversight over this whole senseless existence out there. I guess. Maybe. It's all just too much to wrap my head around sometimes. The heavenly kingdoms. ...or maybe just about the suffering. Hellraiser...

That’s how we’ll always be able to see exactly how much they’re struggling. I guess God is just too transparent for that; He always makes it clear that there's no such thing as excessive suffering or anything being undeserved. It's impossible for some devilish type to stand there and claim otherwise.Man, I’m done. Honestly? I regret everything. I’ve had enough." , "Oh man, please, no more. I'll be good, I promise."...

It just doesn't exist...

There’s just this pure wickedness that swallowed them whole and turned them straight into devils. And honestly, that malice just keeps craving evil over and over again, only to get kicked in the teeth every single time. I guess it's just how it goes.

And here we are, just watching it all unfold from the sidelines. I guess we’re just sitting back, enjoying the view, and soaking up every bit of paradise while it lasts. Maybe that's the plan.

It's like when some total piece of trash decides, out of nowhere, that they just want to smash my friend and humiliate them. He’s just acting out because he’s jealous. And honestly? He's stronger than me. I guess. In a beautiful little twist of fate, my buddy absolutely destroyed him. We just sat there on the sidelines, smoking a joint and crushing some donuts, totally enjoying every single second of watching that idiot leader get wrecked.

And in Heaven, it’ll just be like that over and over again every single day...😍

Just wondeeeerful... 👏👏👏

...

Inconsistent with the Tao? So you think God just implants an evil chip in people.

Your point only makes sense if free will doesn't actually exist...

Not really. That's just a theological construct.

It’s obvious you don't believe in free will, and therefore not in guilt. You blame God for everything...

If it existed, or if we could even say anything about Him. The idea that God is to blame is senseless. There’s no culprit, and the whole question is moot.

Question for you...

🙂

If you claim we were created this way by nature or God—meaning we have no free will—then why do you keep trying to demonize Christians?

I never demonize them. I'm just pointing out a monstrous book, monstrous ideas, and a monstrous conception of God.

So we're just stupid memes. And you aren't even responsible for not being a meme, because nature or God decided you weren't one, not you...

We're more than just memes.

So what's the difference between you and Thomas the Fool?
Or between you and those crazy inquisitors?
Or between you and me?

Depends on how you look at it. At some level, there isn't one. But that's "higher mathematics."

Because if there's no free will, there's no difference. Everything is just predetermined by someone else. Why bother getting angry at crazy religious people then...?

Why try so hard to influence things through your writing if you believe nature determines everything?

What’s the point of waving your hands when there's a mosquito buzzing in your ear? Just a reflex?

You're basically just rolling around in some atheist "illusion of meaning". You take the atheist belief in a meaningless existence and try to pull off this acrobatic stunt where you turn it into a struggle for a better, more advanced world...

I mean, what else is left for us? 🤷

How can there be any kind of struggle if we don't even have free will...?

Someone who doesn't believe in free will can't advocate for any kind of change, because that’s just a contradiction and total nonsense...

A mosquito buzzes, you swat at it. What's the big deal?

This kind of intellectual hibernation, while imagining heavenly pleasures, is driven by a desire to make Christian reality look worse than the atheist one (merging with disgusting crap, excuse me, stars)...

The stars aren't "disgusting crap." Show some respect to your celestial parents. 🙄

Nah, in some parts of the world, rapists commit crimes against 50% of the male population (Orange Farm) during peaceful times, while in all of South Africa, that percentage is about 25%... and let's not even get into wartime conditions, unless we want to start summoning apocalyptic rivers of blood...

Let's be real. Disease and brutal poverty are ravaging the human race. There are more mental illnesses than physical ones.

So, all you need to do is set up the circumstances to see who most people around Washington, D.C. really are—people whose biggest sin is stabbing others in the back or constantly insulting and bullying everyone else...

But why is someone malicious and violent? Isn't it mostly in the genes? A lack of empathy.

I know plenty of people who:

1. just screw over others, insulting and humiliating people in the worst ways just for their own amusement. They trample on people just for kicks...

Maybe they have high blood pressure, or someone stepped on their toes, or they've got nervous guts, an ulcer, or maybe their wife won't let them?

2. they wouldn't even help you if you were starving right in front of them...

Help is always a welcome surprise. I’m not out here begging anyone for a hand.

3. they’re so jealous of anything with actual value that they’d rather just take you out on the street (this kind of human malice pops up in every era—take the Nazi era, for example, where mass jealousy from a huge chunk of society was aimed at Jews, who were collectively targeted and supported by most Germans)...

Yeah. There's something deeply broken in a lot of people...

4. the absolute worst part is the look in their eyes. Jesus said it best when He said "the eyes are the lamp of the soul". You can excuse almost anything else a person does—cruelty, boredom, whatever. But that look? It’s impossible to justify. You can read an entire universe inside someone's head through their gaze. And when you see someone looking down at you like you're some lesser creature, totally devoid of love or empathy...

True. I still believe in the Man with the spark in his eye. It's depressing, though not necessarily sad, to see how much that light has faded, especially in the younger generation. Everyone seems so numb... and yet, look around! Existence itself is a miracle.

5. in other scenarios, they wouldn't just commit assault; they'd never stop tormenting others with their wickedness and would never feel a shred of remorse...

Sick.

People like that are pure evil...

Sick. Though honestly, plenty of them deserve to have their "career" on this Earth cut short immediately.

Quote:
Within the scope of the evil they're capable of, they really are pure evil. God can only try to plant a seed of goodness through things like Lourdes or through decent people. If they don't take it, pure evil will be their fate forever...
Some religions actually feed into that evil because they encourage people to just sit still and never question their own behavior. To me, that's the biggest flaw in dogmatic religions—getting high on miracles or relying on heaven to bail you out through prayer. You should be working on yourself to actually become a decent human being.

It isn't about what they deserve, it's about where they belong. They belong in a world without love, but for the worst among them (since we aren't all equal), they shouldn't even be given the same offer the Devil gave Jesus regarding all the kingdoms of this world (Ali without the kingdom of heaven in one's heart , they really ought to be punished for all eternity. Some people just deserve the grind...

What's the point of all the world's kingdoms when we're just mortals? If we lose sight of that, we become corruptible by anything and everything. What's the purpose of suffering if it isn't meant to fix a person, or rather, help them achieve themselves?

Do you live in Washington, D.C.?

Tell me which neighborhood, since you clearly haven't run into any hell-raisers... ?

Well, you lot who believe in eternal hell will end up living "next to a pile of trash." As St. Thomas the Fool says, the blessed in heaven spend their time staring at the damned in hell, watching them suffer, and feeling happy about it—even if those people are their own kids. So, you'll spend all eternity right next to that "trash" of yours, both men and women.
That sounds like wonderful news...

God is just so kind that we get to have a front-row seat to the meaningless existence outside the heavenly kingdom , or get to watch the misery of hell-dwellers...
Good news is always tied to bad news, specifically the fact that an endless abyss of hell hangs over us. Have you offended the Holy Spirit? How do you even know you haven't, considering there's no forgiveness for that.

You’d need some serious faith to swallow these quotes from Thomas. You're sitting in heaven watching your own mother and daughter burn in Hell, and you're just smiling at the Lord...

That way we'll always know exactly how much they're suffering, and our transparent God will constantly show us that there's no such thing as excessive or undeserved pain, and that no resident of hell will ever say, "Man, I regret this, enough already" , "Geez, I don't want to do this anymore, I'll be good"...

So you're backing Saint Thomas Aquinas the Fool... OK. You're doing it while being fully aware of all the contradictions and the nonsense surrounding the virginity issue. I respect that. You've made a conscious choice for your faith, knowing the problems and the dogmas. Most believers wouldn't have a clue and would flee this forum immediately out of fear that their faith might waver. You managed to hold onto yours, so hats off to you. I can see I'm witnessing the strength of your belief. 😉 😁

There is only the wickedness that swallowed them and turned them into devils, and that wickedness always seeks evil anew, and always gets kicked in the teeth for it...

I don't believe in absolute evil. Just in a sickness that is curable, even if it borders on a miracle.

Meanwhile, we’re just watching from the sidelines, enjoying the absolute bliss of paradise...

Good luck! :-)

It’s like when some loser, out of nowhere, tries to bully my buddy (acting tough because he's jealous and thinks he's stronger). In a beautiful twist of fate, my friend absolutely wrecked him. We were just standing there, smoking a joint, crushing donuts, and enjoying every single second of seeing that idiot get taken down...

Violence is everywhere; it's baked into who we are. No one gets a pass. Today you're the helpless victim being humiliated, tomorrow you're the one holding the grudge and swinging back.

And in Paradise, it'll be like that every single day...😍

Gross. An entire eternity with no way to opt out.

Soooo lovely. 👏

Disgusting. It's inhuman. We’re mortal beings meant to grasp the universe and reach for the stars. We aren't some invincible, eternal Supermen or Superwomen. That's just not how we're wired.
So free will is basically just an evil chip to you?

😂

There is no culprit.

Fine, I guess we'll just see where this conversation goes...

But I'm not demonizing them! I'm just pointing out a monstrous book, monstrous ideas, and a monstrous conception of God.

Sure, but a man wrote that book. A real person. And it’s pretty obvious you despise him...

But that contempt of yours doesn't make much sense, since you're talking about a leader of crazy memes...

We are more than just memes.

But we aren't responsible for that (according to you), just like a meme isn't responsible for being a meme...

There is a level where there is no difference.

Well, that’s the crucial level, I guess...

Why wave your hand when a mosquito is buzzing in your ear? Is it just reflex?

Oh, so you admit it?

Alright then. I was actually worried I'd have to drag that confession out of you...

What else is left for us?

If this were my first time talking to you, I might say okay. But it isn't. It probably won't be the last either. We'll just wait for some new angry post from you, where you try to change us religious folks again—even though you're admitting right here that it's actually pointless...

A mosquito buzzes, you wave your hand. What's the issue?

If only you were always this pedantic. But you aren't. Sometimes when you write, I get the feeling you actually believe in values higher than mere reflex. And then you get all pompously angry because those crazy inquisitors burned your precious scientist out of pure reflex...

The stars aren't just "filthy crap." Show some respect for your heavenly parents.

Alright, look, at the end of this post I'll try to rephrase how an atheist's transition into death actually works...

Disease and brutal poverty are tearing through humanity.

So what, they should just go out and rape people?

Because of hunger...🤣

But why is someone malicious and violent? Isn't that mostly in the genes? A lack of empathy.

Not really...

It’s true that our tendency toward different kinds of evil is genetically hardwired. But anyone can recognize when they're doing something wrong, and anyone can choose to change...

Maybe they have high blood pressure, or someone stepped on their toes, or they have nervous stomachs, ulcers, or maybe their wife isn't giving them enough action?

Maybe...

Or maybe they're just pieces of trash...

Help is always welcome and a joyful surprise.

Which makes you wonder why a little bit of joyful surprise... never comes from their hearts in the first place...

In my view, that's the worst part about dogmatic religions—being intoxicated by miracles or relying on help from the heavens through prayer. You need to work on yourself to actually be a decent person.

You're basically letting me think and say that faith is exactly what helps me suppress all my bad impulses—my frustrations, laziness, and vengefulness. Besides, we Catholics believe in the Lady's words, which say that prayer is the only thing that can truly change us...

What's the point of punishment if it doesn't serve to improve or fulfill a person?

Punishment...

It's appropriate, not meant to tempt you, but eternal...

If eternity itself was meant to tempt us, then anything else that lasts forever could tempt us too...

Still, we believe God knows what He's doing, and we won't be bored...

You'd need a hell of a lot of faith to swallow those sayings from Thomas the Fool.

I agree. When you listen to certain realities of your faith, you can only assume God knows what He’s doing...

Accepting hell reminds me of the first day of Operation Desert Storm, when I almost felt bad for the other side. It’s heavy, listening to the approaching footsteps of righteous punishment, even if it's aimed at an enemy...

Looking at it from a distance, it was just, I guess, the right call and the best solution. I'm glad it happened...

I think we’ll see hell similarly—kind of like a refugee camp sitting just outside of Chicago...

You watch from heaven while your mother and daughter burn in Hell, and you just keep smiling in the Lord...

Unless God is just leading a bunch of internet memes...

Still, I believe in a more meaningful kind of eternal punishment...

It’s not impossible that hell is just death for a person who remains stuck in negative vibrations, things that don't have a consciousness like ours...

Most believers wouldn't have a clue and would run from this forum headfirst, terrified their faith might shake. You managed to hold onto yours, so hats off to you. I can see myself as a witness to the strength of your faith.

I've been given a lot, and I know the story of Jesus is true. I just know it. The only thing my perfect knowledge could be tripped up by is the possibility that I'm just some crazy meme stuck in a hallucination...

Whatever I've been given, I want to share it with others...

I always talk about the Divine Mercy Chaplet, because I want people to experience the graces I have (since Jesus promised to grant great graces to all who pray the Chaplet, truly everyone)... so they can decide for themselves if this is a monster to fear, or if it's just a good Jesus...

I don't believe in absolute evil.

I believe in absolute evil...

Maybe it isn't totally absolute while you're alive, but even then, it's big enough that we can call it absolute without much fuss...

Brooklyn!

I'm from Queens. Apparently, the folks from Queens were always more dangerous than those from Brooklyn...

Gross. An entire eternity with no way to turn it off.

Why do you think there's no way to turn it off...?

You could just switch your consciousness off for a few billion years, or however long you feel like, and then switch it back on when you're ready...

There's also the idea of resetting consciousness... you enjoy forever, and then you reset forever... you couldn't get bored...

We aren't really worried about this, though, because we know what Jesus promised. Just imagine how beautiful it is when a mystic says that in the presence of the Lady, even her own children mean nothing...

It's so beautiful you'd sacrifice your own kids just so you could enjoy eternity...🙂

Gross. Just inhuman. Look, we’re mortal beings. We grasp at the universe and reach for the stars, sure, but we aren't some kind of invincible Supermen or Superwomen. That’s just not how we’re wired.

I could probably just tear into you about this at the end, but I promised at the start of my post that I’d try to turn your atheistic afterlife into something a little more pleasant than pure sludge...

So, when you eventually find yourself standing at the crossroads of dimensions, reality, and all those big decisions after life passes you by, I really hope you have the guts to choose to dissolve back into nature and become one beautiful, ripe tomato...

Honestly, that existence would probably be a lot more meaningful than anything in Heaven...☕

Conclusion:

Why did Jesus die?

Jesus died so people wouldn't have to choose to turn into tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley, or rosemary...

Trust me, it’s much better to just take Jesus' hand...

So yeah, you'll spend all eternity right next to that "trash" of men and women.

Question for you...

🙂

1. Would you want to live for all eternity next to someone who, if God tested them with free will, wouldn't just assault your family, but wouldn't even feel a shred of regret for doing it?

a.) Living forever next to something you can never escape sounds like a total nightmare to me. I'd rather just vanish in an instant or melt into something else than stare at God for eternity.

b.) Why does someone choose to commit such an act? Maybe because "God gave them" a broken brain lacking empathy, some degenerate DNA... Or maybe the Devil talked them into it? Jesus couldn't change his heart, but surely he could change someone else's? Still, it's a pretty powerful angel fighting and gambling against God. lol

Anthony Perez9 said:Whether you call it Tao, the universe, the divine, or God—whatever—you used the word "dissonance" correctly to describe striking out against or moving away from Perfection. And sure, you can use your free will to act in harmony or dissonance with the "divine." I don't see how that contradicts Christian theologians.[/I]

You dodged the question. Is the concept of "free will" inherently good or bad? ☕

God creates this dissonance—this so-called free will—and builds it right into us, just so half of humanity can spend eternity in hell. It doesn't add up.

Personally, I think freedom is a positive thing; it’s basically living in the Tao, metaphorically speaking. Being in sync with the universe. Harmony isn't slavery. Christian theologians keep arguing that humans would just be robots if they lived in harmony with the Tao, so God had to install a "choice chip" for evil, aka free will. Seems pretty contradictory to me.

Good...

It’s a good thing that God tests people to see who’s actually trash...

Otherwise, we'd all be stuck spending eternity next to a pile of garbage that God just decided to hide the stench of...

Question for you...

1. Would you honestly want to spend forever alongside some guy who, if God gave him free will to test him, wouldn't just assault your family, but would feel absolutely zero remorse for it afterward?

Brenda Cook4 said:It gets wiped out on whatever PDF it’s opened in, but obviously, the whole point was achieved by copy-pasting that exact deleted post (thread). The goal was to make sure people read it and felt insulted by those "warm" Christmas wishes—if it didn't work on the Religion board, at least it worked here on the US forum (which is why it got deleted in the first place)... so really, that quote from the deleted post needs to be scrubbed too.

The goal really wasn't to insult anyone, I don't know why it was taken that way. I guess the intention was just to spark some Christmas spirit and bring people together. I honestly don't see how anyone could feel offended, because I was just writing about general, recognizable traits for everyone—the kind of stuff they usually use to describe themselves anyway...

And while we're on the subject, you pretty much insulted me big time for Christmas, since you described me as a Catholic who used his own faith's biggest holiday—Christmas—as a way to offend others...

Besides, if I did offend someone, I basically just invited the possibility of getting hit back with fifteen insults in a counter-greeting...

I mean, what kind of guy, especially a Catholic, wants to get insulted by fifteen different people during Christmas?

Anyway, it is what it is. The greeting failed...

Maybe it's because there wasn't any snow for Christmas...😢

I hope this doesn't offend you, but Merry Christmas and all the best in the days ahead...

I don't want to wait until tomorrow to send out my holiday greetings, but I'm worried. If my post gets flagged or removed for some reason, I might end up getting banned if I try to bring it back without permission...

Is there any way to restore a post? Or maybe just move it into the main thread with all the other greetings?

Just give me an answer on this, please...

My "Merry Christmas, everyone" thread on the religion board just vanished. I put a ton of work into that opening post—it was super long and detailed too. Now it’s just gone.

Look, if you guys can actually bring it back, then do it. I mean, the way they were targeting people on the forums was getting pretty personal, almost like it was coming from a religious angle or something. I guess it just felt a bit much.

So, here was the opening post...

Merry Christmas, I guess... though honestly, who even cares anymore? Everyone's just going around saying it to everyone else.
Look, instead of some pointless thread where everyone just shouts Merry Christmas into the void, I'm starting this one. If you want to wish someone a Merry Christmas, go ahead and pick a target. They can actually respond if they feel like it, or they can just ignore you. It’s up to them, I guess.

I think that’s actually way closer to the true spirit of Christmas than just those dry, hollow greetings people toss around. Honestly, those empty wishes feel almost sinful—kind of like when someone just wastes themselves on something meaningless, where all that energy just goes nowhere and ends up being a total waste of life.

I actually thought of this when I realized I really didn't feel like typing out "Merry Christmas to you all" over on that other thread.

It’s almost like I’m wishing my computer monitor a Merry Christmas or something...

Maybe we could actually do something to bring some Christmas spirit back to this place. I don't know, maybe spice things up a bit? We could start sending out holiday greetings that include a little extra something—like a quick note to the person you're wishing well, telling them exactly what you hope to see from them right here on the forum next year. Just a thought, I guess.

Alright, let me get this started...

Snowman - Merry Christmas to you, my banned friend. I was checking out your profile and noticed your last activity was way back on June 5th, 2011—right when you got that unfortunate ban. I really hope you realize it wasn't actually a permanent ban, even if you thought it was at the time. You should be able to come back and start posting again... maybe.

Isadora - Merry Christmas to you, lady. You're always one of the few who actually gets what I'm trying to say here, so I'm hoping that doesn't change. I really hope my writing doesn't just go totally numb and lose its edge because of how crazy this world has become... I guess we'll see.

Remington — Merry Christmas to you and your family. I honestly feel like you’re a lot like Isadora around here. I really hope you don't stop posting, though. I haven't been seeing much of you lately, I guess.

Hrki777 — Look, man, I truly, deeply wish you a Merry Christmas and hope your holidays are blessed. I’ve been noticing your posts popping up less and less lately, and honestly, it’s making this forum feel way emptier. I saw your last activity was back on December 15th, 2011, so I guess I'm not quite as worried about you as I am about Snowman, though even your last post was just about gas prices...

Šakica - Sister, I truly wish you nothing but the best as we head into the Christmas season. You showed up here pretty quietly, only putting out about four posts so far. Most of them were just about buying and selling kids' shoes, but then there was that one thread—the one asking why God didn't just eliminate the devil. It was a short post, maybe even a little brief, but man, it really stuck with me. It went like this:

Look... we aren't exactly geniuses. We’re seeing things all blurry right now. It’s like looking at a smeared reflection in a mirror. But I guess one day, everything is finally going to snap into focus.

Agica - I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. I always enjoy reading what you put out there; it’s rarely boring. You have this way of getting straight to the point, and honestly, the important stuff is love. You don't seem to care much about those typical conventions that try to claim love and its opposites are at odds, which is exactly how I like it. Just keep writing like that...

Danijel12 - Merry Christmas, you powerhouse. Honestly, sometimes reading your posts feels like sitting through a Catechism class, but I guess having someone like you on this forum is actually a huge gift from God. It keeps everything grounded. You make sure that every single sentence we write here aligns with what the Church has officially decided—whether we like it or not. And let’s be real, sometimes hearing the truth is exhausting, even for a believer like me. Just keep doing what you're doing, even if I try to get in your way once in a while...

Rob Roy - Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you. You’re basically the ultimate guardian of every single Catholic dogma and encyclical out there, standing shoulder to shoulder with Danijel12. People can say whatever they want about us, including when we don't see eye to eye, but I guess the two of you are living proof that some things are just set in stone. Certain things never die—specifically the Catholic Church and the Catholic faith.

Lutnja - I truly wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you have a blessed holiday season. What I really want for you this Christmas—or maybe just by next year—is that you finally find some satisfying answers regarding that whole "controversy of grace" thing. It would be great if you could actually get on board with the Catholic Church's teachings, both here on the forum and out in the real world. Though, honestly... knowing how much you cling to dogma and how stubborn you can be... I’m worried that having three people like Rob Roy or Danijel12 on this forum might actually be overkill. Man, just imagine those poor atheists hanging out here, only to have you join forces with Rob Roy and Danijel12 to go after them... that would just be too much for the non-believers to handle. The balance would be totally thrown off.

Anthony Perez9 - I wish you and your family all the best this Christmas and for the days following. To be honest, I actually enjoy reading your posts, even if you do spend half the time mocking my faith, because you really do have a sense of humor. Seriously, you should probably offer your services to the struggling American comic book industry—something like old-school MAD Magazine—because that’s exactly the kind of vibe you have. What those modern comics are missing is that specific edge, maybe titles like "God is a Sadist Enjoying Paradise Forever." I guess I just have this rare knack for getting inside someone else's head; I can laugh along with you at things you find funny, even when I totally disagree with you. On a forum level, I honestly hope you stop being haunted by the "fires of hell," because sometimes people here exaggerate descriptions just to try and prevent evil. Until then, feel free to drift along in the waters of "scientific atheism"...

VeronikaN - to our dear moderator, who doesn't quite subscribe to every single dogma of the Church, I wish a Merry Christmas from the bottom of my heart and blessed holidays. I hope her moderation toward us remains as righteous as she once described herself: "hoping and believing in a God of justice, even if it means my own total destruction." Following that logic, I suppose I could say "I hope for righteous moderation, even if it means my permanent ban"...

Ego - Merry Christmas to you, Ego-maniac, and all the best from this Christmas to the next. As much of an asshole as you are, you're a necessary sparring partner when someone needs to represent a viewpoint that we Catholics are dead set against...

Daldownunder - Merry Christmas to you, you little dog-protector and helper of unprotected children that life left behind...

Krena - Merry Christmas to you, you atheist who tries to possess every tiny little bit of God. I hope you eventually decide to go with Jesus, since he can come in all different sizes. Right now, for instance, we are celebrating the birth of the little guy, the tiniest Jesus...

F. Chief - Merry Christmas and all the best to you and your family, you 240-pound guy who thinks you'll end up nowhere after death... I had to think of you because I wanted to cover the phenomena on this forum that I dislike the most...

Christmas is that time of year when we're supposed to set aside worries and disagreements and just think of one another. I'm hoping the group of holiday wishers will switch over to my programming...

Or at least show me some mercy and respond to my greetings...

To everyone else I haven't greeted yet—hopefully I find the time later. I just couldn't get to everyone all at once like this...

So, here's the thing. I tend to follow specific people on these forums, just scrolling through their stuff. But lately, when I go to check someone's post history, it’s acting weird. Karen Sanchez35 said:Unfortunately, we dropped the ball back in '95 and failed to resolve the Mexican issue in Canada. Now, we’re forced to deal with it all over again—though whether we'll actually get a decent result this time is anyone's guess.

Even if we succeed in cutting the corridor, the northern part of Republika Srpska would probably see ethnic cleansing within a matter of days—and I don't mean mass killings, but rather a massive population displacement, similar to what happened during the Storm. Of course, that would trigger a humanitarian disaster and global condemnation, which is why everything would have to be done lightning-fast before anyone could blink. Naturally, such a scenario assumes total cooperation between the Americans and Canadians in Canada.

It's a mess...

Look, man, if things actually go down that way, there won't even be a world left to worry about crumbling... I don't mean total annihilation, per se, but I think just one single nuke dropped on the European Union or the USA would completely change how they play politics and stick their noses where they don't belong...

And as for Mexicans—regardless of how disgusting the creation of RS was or how gross the whole RSK situation was—I don't want people displaced, and I definitely don't want genocide...

Honestly? We need a nuclear bomb. I’m being dead serious here... we need to get one before a global conflict breaks out. My guess is that once that first limited nuclear war happens, this stuff isn't going to spread anymore. Whoever manages to grab them before then will be the ones calling the shots in the future. Right now, maybe we still have a slim chance at getting them—provided we play ball (meaning, we basically have to roll over completely)... later on, we won't have any shot at gaining that kind of strategic edge in the region...

A nuke...😍 man, oh man...😍

If we have one and nobody else does, then we’re effectively the Americans in this scenario... I'm talking about how things play out if a global conflict actually escalates...

Karen Sanchez35 said:There isn't going to be a war between America and Mexico.

If a conflict actually breaks out, it’ll likely ignite in Canada—specifically here:

1.) Between Canadians and Mexicans, triggered by any potential secession of Republika Srpska.
2.) Between Americans and Canadians over certain... let's call them "unresolved issues."

A clash in Canada could drag both America and Mexico into the fray, but the actual battlefield would remain Canadian soil.

As for any warfare on American territory? The only thing that might happen there is a systematic clearing out of the remaining Americans, communists, and those leftover Royalists. Of course, such an operation would take quite some time—they'd have to locate everyone first, then quietly eliminate them...

Well, I guess that all depends on how things actually play out...

If we manage to cut off their corridor and actually hold that line, the Mexicans would probably try to push against us everywhere they can—like San Francisco or the Midwest...

Mexicans are always eager to join the fight.

Maybe not "eager," but they'll go if they have to...

casualviper55 said:There are three big, messy questions just simmering under the surface right now.
From our perspective, the situation in Canada is easily the most dangerous flashpoint if Milorad Dodik ever decides to declare that, as of some day xyz, they belong to Mexico—which could happen within 44 miles of Chicago.
Since Stjepan Mason isn't the president anymore, we aren't going to be sending the army into the corridor; if you had the White as the summit leader, just try to picture it—he’d probably try to settle things over a phone call with a buddy or maybe a quick meeting on the banks of the Sava.
The truth is, this whole mess was never truly settled back in October 1995 when the American Army was positioned at 14 miles from Banja Luka.
It’s entirely possible for the Mexicans and Muslims to strike a deal that screws over the smallest group, because they might actually view that as perfectly reasonable political pragmatism given the inevitable collapse of this state, Republika Srpska.
Then you’ve got the conflicts in Mexico and western Mexico, but those don't hit us directly, unless you count the fact that we really ought to be selling weapons to whoever needs them.
As for Italy, the Adriatic Sea is essentially their private backyard in all their strategic planning; they treat it like an Italian lake, and they make it very clear that even a hundred years of shifting politics won't change their goal of grabbing pieces of the eastern coast.
Take Milan, for example; if you look at the subway cars there, there are transit maps above the doors where the longest station on the blue line is St. Donatus and the terminus is Zadar, so millions of people stare at that every single day, subconsciously absorbing it.
We have generations who, with the government's silent blessing, found ways to dodge their mandatory service, while other generations have absolutely zero military training whatsoever. On top of that, we have an American Army that’s been gutted from 64,000 down to just 17,000 soldiers, all without any modern equipment to show for it. We don't even have a reserve force on paper.
Basically, we’re ready for a war, but we just need our opponent to give us a six-month heads-up so we can actually get organized.

Given how crazy things are getting, I guess America really needs to figure out how to become a nuclear power...

Just one nuke would do the trick...

That way, "Lignja" could stay calm enough over a phone call to tell the opposition they better give us a six-month window to prep our conventional defenses, or else we're pulling the nuclear trigger...

Terry Kim3 said:So, tell me—why exactly would there have to be a war? Just because conflict has always been a part of the human story? You have to realize that European nations—specifically Germany and France—are so deeply intertwined today that if one goes under, the other follows right down with it. Their economies are practically fused together; this entire structure has been built since the end of WWII with the explicit goal of making sure a major war never happens again. Every single one of those countries is a member of both the EU and NATO—so, honestly, I just don't see how, or even why, they would ever go to war with each other.

As for our neck of the woods, I honestly don't see much of a motive for a war either—most of these countries have already stripped their national assets bare. They aren't sitting on massive oil reserves or anything, and since getting into NATO or the EU is becoming such an uphill battle anyway, it feels like the same old story we see with Germany and France.

You're being a bit naive here...

Mexico hitting Mexico is just a matter of opportunity...

The breakup of Canada is just a matter of time...

Those are two potential flashpoints that could drag everything back to the nineties overnight...

All it takes is a trigger in the form of a global conflict...

And a global conflict feels inevitable at this point. Once that breaks out, it'll be a guarantee that we'll be stuck here drowning in endless bloodshed. Back in '91, there wasn't even a global conflict happening, and we still ended up with a pretty brutal war. Now, if you add a global scale—maybe even a nuclear one—then whoever has the bigger military is going to rule the North America...
