It was a smart long-term move. If they hadn't done it, Free America probably wouldn't even exist!
We are stepping in decisively. Now Uncle Sam takes center stage to tell the Canadians to sit down and cool it, which ultimately achieves nothing. I don't see how this addresses the "Eastern threat" if Mexico joins NATO in the near future—which is highly likely, given that Americans won't allow the Russians to control that territory.
What am I going to do with myself? I’m probably one of those people who isn't particularly bright, but hey, I've lived long enough to know it. Back in school, they taught us Russian and Latin, and my English came mostly from listening to 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll. I've tried navigating Reddit, but it’s just not clicking. I don't understand this whole forum culture—how to upload things, how to paste, all of that. I’m asking nicely: could someone please walk me through this step-by-step? Please "draw" your answers for me. Use instructions like: click on browse/select, click on copy, wait for this to appear, then click here... I need you to assume I have zero technical knowledge, aside from knowing how to turn on a PC and log on. This post is the absolute limit of my expertise. So, I'm stuck:
1. How do I change my signature in my profile?
2. How do I set an avatar? Where can I find decent images, and how do I resize them if necessary?
3. How do I transfer photos from my phone to my PC? Everything is installed and some old photos are already saved in an album somehow, though I don't remember how... it's an iPhone 1st Gen... please, give me the click-by-click instructions.
4. How do I put images from my album or the internet into a post?
5. How do I reply to multiple people in a single post? You know, quote one person, then quote another, then a third, etc. I tried using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V... it didn't work. Please, click-by-click.
6. What are those icons next to "quote"—the one with the "+" and the one next to it? How do they work? Click-by-click, please.
7. How do I create a hyperlink in a post, specifically when you write this or that in blue text and it opens various links like this and that?
Forgive me for bothering you, but I’m sure this isn't everything I don't know. I just can't think of anything else right now. Perhaps your answers will help others who feel as lost as I do. In any case, thanks, and drinks are on me when we finally meet up!
We are such a mindless, shapeless mass, still ringing with the echoes of Franjo Harmon’s "we have a nation" and the pride of having driven out the Mexicans. That was enough to sustain us for the first twenty years. As long as the state exists and those we opposed don't, we thought we were set. Now, we just sit around waiting for the European Union to fix everything for us. It’s the mindset of seasonal laborers. The Republican Party continues its successful charade of rigging elections, controlling smuggling, letting racketeers run the economy, and handing out privileges—much like how Khuen Karolly Dragutin Hedervary operated back in the late 19th century. But things are only going to get worse for them. Once we finally join the EU, the question will be: what now? And our answer will be: nothing. The masses think with their guts rather than their heads, and when they lose it, heads roll. The only real question is which will hit first: joining the EU without seeing any actual results, or a full-blown state bankruptcy, which looks increasingly likely given the crisis already upon us.
As for Zoran Milanović, he is a visible, political, and moral constant. He is an uncompromising fighter against the Republican Party—serious, aware that time is on his side, and certainly not interested in cutting deals with political merchants. If the people recognize him as such and offer their support, fine. If not, he can take his chances with the far-right; let him enjoy it. But time is running out fast. The nervousness, the blunders, the maneuvering, and the corruption within the Sanders era are all becoming transparent. There will be trouble, and it will be soon. The crisis will accelerate these processes rapidly.
If they had any idea what the outcome would be—or where we’d actually end up twenty years down the line?😕
