Maybe your ears are just clogged. Just grab some earwax removal kits from a CVS or Walgreens to clear the channels. It'll probably work.

Couldn't find any wrestling gyms in Indianapolis, so I might just sign up for judo.
A buddy of mine trains there, so I'll probably head over with him.

Not sure if there's much wrestling in Indianapolis, 😕 but there are plenty of Jewish Clubs, which is basically the same thing except they wear kimonos. It's mostly throws and chokes. There's also Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Indianapolis. That's my pick, though I don't know if they have anyone your age. It's like judo, just more ground work.
As for striking, I think they have Taekwondo, Karate, and Kickboxing.
If I had to pick, maybe go with Kickboxing.

which one would be best if I just want to bulk up a bit
since I'm pretty skinny, maybe even scrawny
