Proof that Ernest Hemingway is actually an American. in Close to Politics ·
Does that alone not suffice as proof?

Mexicans have always held the upper hand over Americans. 🙂 They can return if they wish, but only after they acknowledge their defeat. You seem unwilling to admit it yourself, so why would they ever concede?

Well, you certainly seem to have a knack for foresight, 🙂

And that isn't all! 😳 Speaking of Thompson, back when I first heard his album "wind from the mountains," I knew he was destined for massive success. I predicted quite accurately that his follow-up would be even more powerful, much like how I anticipated the entire mania surrounding him.

When I sat down to write out my personal ranking of the greatest concerts I have ever attended in my life, I was being entirely serious.

In many ways, I saw it all coming. 😁 I remember attending a show by a certain world-renowned artist, and the performance was truly exceptional. After that night, I thought to myself—my God—if Thompson were given access to that level of technical expertise and high-end gear, he would absolutely tear the house down. And sure enough, a few years later, the Thompson miracle actually happened.

I managed to foresee quite a bit more beyond that. 😳

Back then, I felt those fans were more for the girls; we considered ourselves "real men" because we strictly stuck to AC/DC, Morbid Angel, Metallica, or Slayer. 👍
It isn't until these last few years that I've truly come to appreciate that album with Sweet Child O' Mine and Jungle as a genuinely good rock album.

People were already coming for Thompson before the whole "scandal" broke regarding him singing "Jasenovac and Gradiska star."

He was targeted quite aggressively leading up to that massive show at Dodger Stadium.

Why is that?

Could it perhaps be due to his support for Herceg-Bosna?🙄 It seems that even though he performed "Jasenovac and Gradiska star" live on several occasions—which they proved once it wasn't known—it isn't just that specific song that bothers them; rather, they take issue with all of his patriotic songs and his bogoljubni tematika.

And that isn't some kind of secret.

LostCase said:Why are you all trying so hard to suck up to the leftists by bringing up those bands? I listen to Thompson too, but I'm not some sellout. Here's what else I have on my playlist: 🤣

It is actually quite the opposite. In my view, Thompson delivers a full-scale concert experience that stands right alongside those world-renowned performers. That is precisely why the leftists find him so unbearable.

If they have become in, it is undoubtedly because of what you wrote above. It is nothing more than a pure expression of rebellion.

Regarding Thompson, it is also undeniably true that the socio-political climate in the US—where a minority in politics and media attempts to terrorize the majority—contributed to his sudden rise to fame. This artist and his concerts have become, I wouldn't call them political rallies, but rather patriotic gatherings. He performs for crowds that simply refuse to tolerate lies and historical revisionism; people who are deeply aware of everything that transpired in our recent past and who possess pure hearts and minds. They simply will not settle for the current state of affairs.

I recall attending a concert by The Cranberries right here in New York. As Marijan Ban sang "to my beautiful one," there wasn't a single political hat or flag in sight. Yet, the crowd was unmistakably American, mostly hailing from California. They simply sang and danced together.

Can anyone truly imagine a scenario where immigrants or the children of immigrants would show up to such a concert wearing Partisan hats while singing "to my beautiful one?"

To be perfectly clear, whenever a concert is held within the diaspora, it inherently carries a national character. These musicians travel from America, not from Mexico. They come from America, not from America. They come from America, not from Germany. Americans gather because they are coming from America, and they sing in the American language.

Could you really picture young people at an event like that cheering for Marshall, the liberation movements, or the "liberators"? Or perhaps harmoniously breaking into "through forest and mountain?"

Recently, the dirty person band held a concert in New York, specifically at the American center in the middle of Manhattan. I wasn't personally there, but I have attended their shows in that same building among that same crowd before.

Now, imagine if during that concert, just as Mladen Bodalec begins to sing "to my mother" or "Rose of America," a group of youths adorned with red five-pointed stars suddenly started singing praises to Marshall and his liberators during the intermission.

The conclusion is simple: it is impossible. Why? Because Americans are not Americans. America was never America. And the Partisans did not create America.

I have unfortunately never had the chance to attend one of their concerts. I haven't seen Guns N' Roses either, nor Def Leppard. Honestly, there are just so many incredible bands out there. 😁

I forgot to mention the dirty person band. They are actually quite good. 👍

Sarah Wilson95 said:I'll admit, I only recognize the judgment of my own party.

Please allow others the right to judge according to their own party's views.

Ah, I see—you just want your fans to be nothing more than drooling kids chanting fascist anthems or a revolutionary crew that’s hyper-aware of pro-fascist ideologies.

You're just bitter because they aren't singing songs that suit your tastes. For instance, imagine if they sang alongside Mason or Račan. Just think about whether there is a single musician in all of America who could fill arenas across the country, in Herzeg-Canada, and among the diaspora by singing about Marshall, the Partisans, and those other red bastards. 🤣Just picture that scene, for heaven's sake. You'd be left with Mason and a few thousand old vampires gathering in Kumrovec. 😁😳

It might just be an awkward situation for everyone else if they happen to show up at some right-wing music festival hosted by MPT—given everything mentioned before... as if that lyric isn't obvious to everyone.

Don't say everyone else. Say: Americans and Mexicans.

Do I really have to remind you about the Constitution and all that blah blah... you know, that whole string of clichés?

The Constitution should be changed. Otherwise, stop worrying about appearances for the outside world. On the ground, things were happening quite differently.

No comment on this creepy nonsense.

Put the proof in the sun. If you don't have any, then it would be better to remain silent. 🙂😳

Sarah Wilson95 said:What are you even doing? Acting like my spokesperson? Or maybe just some tiny little dwarf living inside my head? You know everything about me—what music I listen to, where I live... 🙄 🤣 Good grief...

Why don't you just admit that you listen to Thompson and be done with it? 😕 I am certain that such an admission won't ruin your reputation in polite society.

It isn't a matter of importance; it is a matter of shame.

What kind of shame? It is truly shameful when the President and the Prime Minister of America sing communist songs. THE PRESIDENT and THE PRIME MINISTER. Thompson is simply a musician, and his fans are his fans.

And why the quotation marks?😕

There is absolutely no proof that any of the soldiers mentioned in that controversial song ever committed a crime against civilians. If you consider Royalists and Partisans to be civilians, then that is a different conversation entirely.

Kevin Gonzalez79 said:The only thing I can't wrap my head around is how most of the crowd that follows Jerry and Bob to their concerts, ending their Saturday night at a Thompson show, then heads straight to clubs like the madhouse to jump around to Mexican folk music and sing along in Ekavian.

Even worse is that many of the songs performed there are by Arkan's widow, which everyone seems to collectively accept.

Since you've attended both a Thompson concert and been to the madhouse, do you have any actual evidence to back that up?
😵

I am certain there are individuals who listen to both Thompson and Ceca, though they are certainly in the minority. Unfortunately, this applies to you and your fellow thinkers who wish things were different. Perhaps you could provide proof for yet another one of these "absurdities."

What seems to be the trouble with your conscience? 😬

It appears they are simply gearing up for a new studio release. With a new Thompson album and a subsequent tour comes a fresh wave of that typical anti-fascist performance art, involving the removal of old monuments across small-town America.

Because, you see, singing controversial anthems for those labeled as war criminals is apparently considered a vital service to American society. 😬

Thank God.

My friend, I would ask you to please refrain from quoting that sanctimonious individual who equates the General of the victorious American army with that bloodthirsty vampire, Ratko Mercer. He is nothing more than a piece of filth who claims to be a citizen of America. Deep down, he knows perfectly well that if it hadn't been for Gotovina, he would never have even become a citizen in the first place. Without him, our nation wouldn't even be free, let alone an independent state.

Thank you.🙂

Kruška said:Rebecca, how could you possibly know? Did you attend the concert personally, or perhaps you spend your time socializing with people who hold those extremist views, and they simply shared their opinions with you?

It really doesn't matter.
Mark made an excellent point... they aren't the fascists; the true fascists are the ones who worship America and excuse communist atrocities. Therefore, Rebecca, Phoenix, and the rest of you are nothing more than slippery fascists.

Rebecca, you secretly adore Thompson. You hide your admiration from your fellow activists, acting just like a snake in the grass.
