Anyone still running Windows 7? in Software ·
Look, I already told you what the issue might be—it’s a hardware conflict, specifically a driver clash. Just open up the Control Panel right now; I mentioned that earlier, but apparently, it’s not catching on.

Try running a repair installation using the DVD, if you have one available.

I suspect there’s some kind of software conflict causing everything to hang, but before we go down that rabbit hole, try a repair or just jump straight into troubleshooting.

And honestly, a bad crack could be the culprit too—it's notorious for breaking things, like making the Control Panel unusable or leaving everything completely blank. But let's not get sidetracked by that right now.

You’ve got a few heavy hitters to choose from here—TuneUp Utilities, Glary Utilities, or Advanced SystemCare.

Everyone is going to have an opinion on which one reigns supreme, but honestly? I’ve been using the latest version of Advanced SystemCare and I’m perfectly happy with it. My advice? Just grab a couple of them, test them out side-by-side, and decide for yourself what actually works for your machine. 🙂

The first thing that comes to mind is to head over to msconfig (just type it into your search bar) and open it up. Once you're in, go straight to the Startup tab and uncheck everything—basically, strip out all those unnecessary items that don't absolutely need to be running alongside Windows at boot-up.

I mean, if it’s something you can just manually trigger whenever you actually need it, kill it from the startup list. For instance, an antivirus definitely needs to be running, but something like Catalyst Control Center? It doesn't need to be hogging resources from the second you log in.

Either just Google some other drivers—assuming you even know who the manufacturer is or if the damn thing's already fried. It’s all disposable junk these days, honestly. I really hope it isn't 😉

Look, my Broadcom chip actually works, but I had to jump through absolute hoops to get it running.

I have no clue how to find the specific x64 drivers. Should I be looking for the manufacturer's name and just Google it? 🤷
CCleaner in Software ·
Look, you can't have it both ways—pick a side. And honestly? I wouldn't touch CCleaner with a ten-foot pole either. I finally moved on from Norton Utilities after using it for ages, switched over to Advanced System Care, and frankly, I haven't missed a thing. If I had to choose, I’d say Norton Utilities actually gets the job done better than CCleaner; that software just isn't up to par.

My Hitachi drive is currently sitting in my laptop 5400, and while I know things would definitely pick up the pace if I swapped in a 7200 RPM drive, it isn't actually performing that terribly slow right now.

And why bother installing a 64-bit OS? It’s completely pointless when you're stuck with a measly 2GB of RAM.
Besides, you're dealing with a single-core processor here—you can't just patch your way out of hardware limitations with software. No matter what you try, it won't change reality.

Rebecca Roberts3 said:Just a month ago, voters backed the Democratic Party and its coalition. Now, they support the European Union. Do you honestly believe anyone other than the Republican Party or the Democratic Party will hold power once we join the European Union? It will still be the same old crowd.

Oh, they'll be in charge, sure—but they'll be playing by a different set of rules. They'll basically have a babysitter because they clearly haven't got a clue how to run things on their own.

That’s exactly why every single politician, regardless of party, was practically begging for this entry. First off, they know they're out of their depth, and second, they’re looking forward to dipping their hands into those accession funds...

Honestly, I don't get why you're getting so worked up about it. If the crooks in Europe turn out to be even bigger thieves than our local hacks, we can just pull a referendum and bail out of the European Union whenever we want. We'll be right back where we started with our own local crooks.

And frankly, I'd much rather have some foreign entity stealing from me than my own damn country.😉

No, let’s be real—this country is never going to shake off the Republican Party and the Democrats. We’re just spinning our wheels. They’ve shown us exactly who they are, and it turns out they don't care about anyone but themselves.

And don't even get me started on Europe. I bet people over there actually live better than we do. We’re stuck with European price tags while dragging around salaries that are five times lower. Manufacturing is booming everywhere else except here; around here, it's all about building shopping malls and focusing on retail. That's the only thing anyone cares about.

Besides, was there even a referendum? Why are you all getting so worked up? People who actually think for themselves—people like me—won that vote, while people like you lost. Honestly, I don't even know why you bother showing up to these debates anymore. We are completely fed up with the Republican Party, the Democrats, and every other lot. Even a damn mule would have had enough of them by now; even a horse would be kicking them in the head just to get some peace.

There’s an old saying: "The old guy stole, but he at least gave something back; these guys steal, but they won't give you a damn thing." So, cheers to me, I guess.

So now you're claiming they’re the ones pulling the strings? You think Kosor, Milanović, and Pusić are the masterminds behind our fate? Those are your heroes? Why don't you just take them home with you and be done with it... they're nothing but

I can see exactly what kind of future they've laid out for us, and frankly, not even a complete idiot could misread this mess 😛

That's how it works 👍

I’m going to have to call BS on your signature. It just doesn't hold water. You’re basically claiming everyone in the European Union used to be independent and now they aren't? Give me a break. So what, Canadians, Romanians, and Bulgarians are all "in" while I'm stuck being "out"? Seriously, think about what you're even saying here. ha ha

Beyond that, if having more love and connection like we did back in America means I won't have a job, then fine—I've got nothing against it. Stop with the empty slogans; you can't live on them. Those three crooks are just... 25 million people. Let me add one more thing for you: none of this should have even happened. Once we all finally join the European Union, there won't be any borders to worry about anyway. 😉

And then you have all those highly skilled professionals who were basically forced to pack up and leave this version of America just to avoid starving, despite having spent years grinding at a university to earn their expertise 🙂

If you actually look at those 169 votes, you’ll see the real picture

Some genius decided to use their own "special" math to claim it’s 28.8% IN FAVOR,
but if we’re using that exact same logic, how much is actually AGAINST? Is it 9.6%?

It's funny how people just toss math around whenever it suits their little narrative.

Damn it, are our leaders seriously pushing European prices while completely ignoring European wages? It’s like they forgot about salaries entirely, unless they're just talking about their own pockets.
They build more shopping malls, but why not invest in actual manufacturing? Give us somewhere to actually earn a living instead of drowning us in enough red tape to drive every local factory straight into Canada, the Czech Republic, or Poland...
What good is a shopping mall anyway? I don't need a place just to wander around staring at flashy storefronts.

Do we even have a functioning state? Sure, we exist, but if you couldn't eat the country, there wouldn't be anything left of it...

Historically speaking, we never had this many Americans who were both starving and drowning in debt at the same time. To actually live a decent life off your own hard work, you’d have to be pulling three shifts a day just to break even, let alone deal with this level of unemployment

Besides, if everyone else is checking all the boxes to get by, we might as well follow suit 👍

I have to hand it to you—you could have written this yourself. For all intents and purposes, you’ve basically got my signature on this piece.

The late defense attorneys would be spinning in their graves if they knew where all that money actually went and how it was squandered. It’s an absolute disgrace. We had the potential to be like Switzerland, but we were too foolish to see it. We have everything—from the coast to the Midwest—nature gave us a literal paradise to live like lords, but our leaders aren't nearly as efficient at cleaning out the crooks. Or maybe they just don't care. In this country, everyone claims to be a true patriot while lining their own pockets.

👍

Oh, please. Why on earth didn't your three little buddies show up to protest?

And what, does nobody else in the USA have territories? Is everything just "territory" now?
But they’re still territories that actually keep their own names, right? So we won't be the only ones left standing like idiots,

Back in the South, if you even dared to bring that up, people were barely scavenging through trash before heading to the communal kitchen—and if you lied about the government, you got absolutely wrecked.
But go ahead, keep talking. You'll get exactly what's coming to you. 👍

I am not talking nonsense; I gave you an answer,

Congress? It's just a bunch of crooks and people looking out for their own, handing out favors and making sure nobody ever gets punished for it.

Besides, you already lost, so why are you getting so worked up? There's no shame in losing—just remember what Snježana used to say about letting go of old stories. 👍
