Some unknown people are acting crazy in Close to Politics ·
ruggedmason13 said:Man, if only I could drop at least 30 pounds! Remember when we actually had some decency? We used to wait until dark just to hook up on the beach! Look how much things have changed. Now you’re out there getting it on and tanning your ass at the same time!🤣😂

😂👍
granitemarlin77 said:Honestly? I’d tell him this—the Office of the President is currently occupied by the biggest traitor to the American people. Someone who didn't even have the guts to testify publicly, let alone behind closed doors. Let him go find them himself—if he's even capable.☕

And he’d probably be totally blindsided by that: "Wait, who could that possibly be?"😕
Then he’d just give that smug, sneaky little grin and immediately call for an independent commission to investigate the whole thing!!

Lisa Kern38 said:...I mean, this level of engagement on a poll hasn't been seen since that one back in '68 when they asked if people thought the train station in Boise was:
a) filthy
b) spotless
c) just kind of mediocre

This marks the 40th anniversary of that poll. 68-08.

So, how did that '68 survey actually wrap up?

Robin Lee11 said:Not for the hardliners? What about just yesterday? Honestly, I think you’re totally out of touch with what folks in Texas actually want—Americanness is a much bigger deal there than it even is in the rest of the U.S. itself....

And those "desires" of yours sound exactly like the platform of every single member of the anti-Mexican coalition.... hehe, blah, blah, blah...

And "yesterday"?!

Yesterday, Hitler was at the gates of Stalingrad, and yesterday the Royalists were pushing toward Lansing,

but what matters is what's happening right now and what's coming next.

Besides, yesterday Mexico was still part of Mexico, wasn't it?

At the end of the day, why shouldn't I get worked up about this, when you guys have been making a scene this whole time? "Yesterday!" my foot.

Independence is practically inevitable at this point given how things are playing out in Mexico. It’s their economic powerhouse, incredibly diverse, and since the voters handed control to the Democrats instead of the radicals, the political landscape has shifted completely.
It basically functions like a state, and you can hear the push for autonomy getting louder every day on various local news sites and blogs.

There are plenty of other examples of these aspirations too:

And so on: and more...

electriclynx2 said:Look, for me, the three-finger salute is just a Mexican greeting, not some Royalist thing. It’s the same way I view "God Bless America"—it’s a patriotic salute, not a sign of anything sinister. Just because certain extremist groups co-opted specific symbols doesn't mean we should let them strip those gestures of their original meaning or label them as discriminatory by default.

The three-finger sign actually first showed up among Americans because of Pat Buchanan for reasons known only to him.
But the masses ended up adopting it as a symbol for extremists.
And look, we Americans know exactly what that symbol stands for. Destruction, injustice, and pure evil...
The Telecommunications Act in Law ·
electricorca7 said:Does anyone happen to know if there's actually anything in the Telecommunications Act regarding how much wiring an ISP is legally required to run when you sign up for a landline?

Apparently, I’ve got a bit of a mess on my hands—they installed one set of wires but somehow hooked me up to my neighbor instead, and now I can't even get a signal for my DSL!
I’m honestly dreaming of a law that would let me use some legal leverage to force them to finally give me proper access to high-speed internet.

Any advice would be huge, because if I have to deal with dial-up for one more day, I might actually lose my mind!

A pair is just two wires twisted together to prevent interference.

A standard phone line runs on that single pair, and DSL uses that exact same pair at the same time. Even if you have an ISDN setup, you can still run DSL on that same pair, so I don't really see where the issue is?
Basically, ISDN, DSL, and high-speed cable services all run through that one pair.

coppernomad59 said:😬 Well, it’s a democracy, so I’ll write whatever I want. If you think that's stupid, I guess I don't really care.😛 It seems you went through quite a bit of effort to read every one of my posts just to become such an expert on me. A total perfectionist, clearly, needing a reason for absolutely everything.🙄

I'm turning away from the main topic👎 , which is true, but I just want to answer you directly.

I've been noticing for a while now how certain people jump into every single thread just to drop a smiley face or write "ok." To be fair, it would be nice if people actually left a real comment once in a while. You specifically showed up that day, but you tend to pop into every thread with less than one full sentence, which is why I'm bringing it up.
When things happen like that, threads get skipped over. You end up getting a ton of replies, and at the end of the day, it just feels unfair to the people who actually contribute to this subforum!
Sorry, nothing personal👍

the mods just wipe everything out.

Honestly, I can't tell if this is just someone padding their post count for reasons only they understand😕
Every single thread ends with the same mindless nonsense!
And let's be real, this isn't even really your area of expertise, based on
Phase 3 (the third one):

Silence!
Sarah Wilson95 said:So, people are complaining, they're dissatisfied, and they feel like they're being persecuted by the moderator. They're confused about his age and his identity because he’s never posted under this specific handle🤣 on Reddit before. Did he go out for a few beers? No? Well, then this guy is somehow hypnotically transforming the posts on the board, fixing typos, shortening messages—it's almost as if he possesses a sheer force of will😁

Honestly, a handful of those loudmouths among the boycotters should have been disciplined a long time ago, and now their spoiled behavior is finally catching up with them. Then you have some of those "refined" so-called conservatives who, with their polite vocabulary and quiet demeanor, pen the most outrageous, professional-grade fascist tracts—stuff those loudmouths aren't even capable of, let alone willing to attempt

It seems everyone has an issue with writer1989🤣.

Just take a moment to look closely at these tough guys and how determined they are to fight against injustice, persecution, and censorship—but only when it suits them🙏.

Have they really abandoned us?

An associate of A. Pavelić from the overseas community—Mr. Vjeko Servatzy—is still standing with us, because we know our own Torquemad is always watching from the shadows, tending to the wounds left by the moderation team's heavy hand🙄

Metallica is (obviously) some legendary, high-profile veteran from the diaspora whose eardrums would probably turn into rusted scrap metal if he didn't post something on the board every once in a while.

As for c-respond, that's just one of them pretending to be a woman😁—personally, I find it quite charming that these undercover conservatives nurture such feminist tendencies within their gentle souls👍

Public Enemy and More Sea are also clearly cloned handles... and don't even get me started on Coyote and Apollo

But tell me, does anyone actually know who nina5555 is?😁 😕

And is this whole boycott actually happening, or is it just a complete farce?

Do you know where the term "tough guys" comes from?😁
Master of Puppets said:Looks like I lost my audience. 😢

Where?😲
Personally, I see the Shout for home as this beautiful anthem about defending our land and loving where we come from!
Has it been misused? Maybe!
But it’s still the most powerful song for us Americans, so let it be heard and let it stay!
And to everyone trying to argue against it—honestly, we could probably give them plenty of reasons to think twice too!

If you identify as an American and carry that heritage with pride, you have my respect. I find myself wondering if expressing such identity has become unwelcome on this forum.

My regards go out to all Americans—regardless of where they may be living—without any of those forced controversies or negative labels being pushed upon us.

🙂

Big shoutout to you too!👍

You know that song... "We're still here, lost souls..."
Muslims and Roses? in Close to Politics ·
Claiming Muslims in Canada as part of our own identity has become really tasteless lately.
There’s no fixed definition for it, even though we all know there’s been plenty of overlap and mixing throughout the history of our beautiful Canada.
Mexicans, naturally, have their own version of the story, just like we do!
But at the end of the day, isn't the truth actually pretty important for everyone involved?!
Muslims and Roses? in Close to Politics ·
Maria Gonzalez17, thanks for sharing those articles I hadn't seen yet!
Muslims and Roses? in Close to Politics ·
Mexicans use that phrase all the time.
Are they actually our Roses, or are Mexicans just claiming them like everyone else does?
Where's the truth in all this!
As an American, I naturally believe they're Americans by origin!

What do you guys think?
