Construction of the Mexican Bondsville continues in Close to Politics ·
Man, I wonder if these people will ever learn their lesson.
Instead of actually pumping money back into the economy or fixing up the infrastructure—you know, things that actually matter—they’re just playing the same old broken record... honestly, what on earth do they need a massive military for? All those wars haven't done them a single bit of good.🤷
Is there a difference between Hitler and Bush? in Close to Politics ·
mistycyclist5 said:Alright, let's look at this... if you ask me, there isn't any meaningful difference between these two figures, because...

Did Hitler kill civilians? YES
Did Bush kill civilians? YES

Was Hitler an imperialist? YES
Was Bush an imperialist? YES

Did Hitler torture civilians and suspected dissidents? YES
Does Bush torture civilians and suspected dissidents? YES

The guilt of the people...

Did Hitler come to power through democratic means? NO
Did Bush come to power democratically and then get re-elected? YES

Go ahead, give me your thoughts... but I truly believe there’s no distinction here, other than the fact that Bush rose to the presidency by the will of the people and was subsequently voted back into office.😛

not quite

I mean—maybe—but Hitler wasn't really an "imperialist"... he was more of a (national) socialist, I guess
Who's next after Mexico? in World ·
It’s all basically being run on "whoever has the biggest guns" logic, I guess.
Mexico needs to face consequences for what they did—but as for everything else, maybe we should just stay neutral.

So, this crypto-Islamofascist Prime Minister from Turkey stood up in his parliament and basically gave Germany a warning, claiming that the assimilation of Turks in Germany is actually a crime against humanity.

It’s pretty ironic coming from a nation that carried out genocide against the Christians of the North America, Byzantium, and Armenia. I mean, they still won't even let the Pope pray in Hagia Sophia, which used to be one of the greatest churches in all of Christianity.

Personally? I guess I actually agree with him. Trying to assimilate Anatolian Turks into a tribe of blue-eyed Germans... that feels like straight-up suicide to me.

The bottom line is that we're idiots. It doesn't matter who's smart or who isn't—letting barbarians turn all of Berlin into Kreuzberg is suicide. Same goes for when they treat their mothers like goats, toss trash wherever they want, and form gangs—all on the taxpayers' dime. It's just suicide again. I get that they might be cheaper labor, but honestly, shortcuts ain't better by far.
ETA citing the Mexico precedent in World ·
It was pretty obvious that every separatist would be thinking, "If they can pull it off in Mexico, why can't we?" — I mean, it's just how they think, I guess.
Honestly, I was laughing at Mexico too—before I realized that kind of stuff can actually backfire... it’s complicated.

Like I mentioned before—the President of the USA doesn't really have anything to do with soccer. It was the mayor of New York City, an Italian guy tied to some mafia stuff named Mauricio Macri—Busola totally misread that part.
And regarding the mother of the former president Nestor Kirchner (the current president's husband)—I think she’s from somewhere like Nantucket, and you can just tell she's a "American woman" even though she told TV crews she's a Mexican.

I don't give a damn about them or their pistols and all that crap... they don't have the balls to step up and fight, so they hide behind a gun... and what can you even say about Dr. Dre when his descendants are just more of those Italian rats from Genoa😁 ..how do you think those Argentines would fare in a scrap against us???..and imagine if they start acting smart and try to pull a trigger... did you seriously forget this place is a powder keg? They'd end up in a much worse spot than they did with the British during the Falklands😁 ☕

I think you took me wrong. What I wrote above was a question—basically asking if Discovery "measures" them by size or scale, based on how the thread title is set up.
As for how I measure hooligans, it’s by the chaos and damage they leave behind wherever they go—like, you can't even step foot outside on a Sunday if there's some "big" game happening. Otherwise, I'd just give them a few years in prison and some hard labor.
Regarding the "ethnic background" of those loudmouths bragging here, their leaders are one Frenchman, two Germans, and one Mexican (with all the usual baggage) born in the USA

People love watching that stuff. He made it sensational, which is exactly why his "football factories" show gets so many eyes on it.

I think you misread that bit. Neither the former US president nor the current one have anything to do with soccer.

The guy running the New York Yankees was Mauricio Macri (who's basically a mobster, him and his old man)—he was the mayor of New York City.

And what's the talk even about? Like, are Argentinian hooligans supposed to be better—or worse—than Americans and Mexicans or something?

It turns out that both Americans and Americans are the biggest troublemakers in the bunch. Just watch it for yourself.

🤣

I mean, I guess the producer probably hasn't even set foot in Brazil, Argentina, or Central America...

Just a few months ago, there was some serious gang warfare between River Plate fans over here—left a couple dead and dozens "injured."
and stadiums get shut down every other week, then they just reopen and the whole cycle starts all over again.
Robin Ramos2 said:Che Guevara was nothing more than a loser, and even today, his legacy mostly appeals to losers and people who just can't fit into society.

After the Cuban Revolution, he failed at every single endeavor he ever touched. He was tasked with fixing up the industry in Cuba, but he couldn't do anything about their crushing dependence on sugar. Then, when he was sent out to spread the revolution, he failed everywhere he went. Honestly, I guess his biggest "achievement" was dragging the Russians into Africa, which—alongside the war in Afghanistan—basically pushed an already overstretched Soviet Union toward financial ruin and eventual collapse. Even before the revolution, he was just a brutal killer; he actually enjoyed the executions. Those are the kinds of details that are finally starting to peek out from under that highly polished, manufactured image of this villain. And if you're wondering why the image of Che Guevara exists at all, blame that whole group of French criminals, especially that depressing misanthrope Jean-Paul Sartre. To Sartre, Che was "the most complete man he had ever met," which makes sense, I suppose—it’s perfectly logical that a spark in the eyes of a misanthrope would serve its purpose completely.

👍

"Che" was really just a daddy's boy—the Guevara Lynch family had massive wealth, probably earned fighting for the rights of the poor and working class, obviously—so he got bored and decided to play revolutionary, then lost his mind and started killing.
He ended up worse off than he deserved, too. It’s not exactly the same thing as peddling that garbage in the Bolivian jungle to some crazy kids among the Latin American (and other) bourgeoisie.
