Alright, check this out for Amy Hughes2—four sets of Nike's jerseys: the home, away, and third kits.

Enjoy them, buddy 😁

Nicole Hill2 said:I don't think Diadora is actually all that bad, particularly when considering this specific kit version used by Dinamo Chicago. The issue arises because the jerseys are cluttered with sponsors, which creates a rather unsightly aesthetic. When you add in those questionable decisions—like forcing those gold kits or the dark blue ones during European competitions—well, that's really the crux of it. Personally, I find the blue Diadora kits quite decent.

I am holding out hope that Puma will end up designing the kits; I find the fantasy concepts posted by mellowowl38 quite appealing, especially the second one and the final two. There ought to be a touch of white in the design, as that is, after all, a signature color for Dinamo Chicago.

Look, compared to those very first Diadora kits, it's hard to find anything uglier. And yeah, like you said, the current jerseys aren't terrible to look at, but they aren't *good*. Obviously, it's all subjective—maybe some people actually love them—but the build quality is basically zero. Just look at the current kits; that gold stuff on the sleeves and shorts looks like something you or I found in a bargain bin or just slapped on there haphazardly. I bought that Diadora scarf for the club's centennial, and the "1911 - 2011" numbers under the crest are barely even visible because the embroidery is so messy. I can't stand the design; I don't get why they keep doing these stunts with the gold accents. When the first photos dropped, I posted this:

image

If you just stripped away the gold, moved the crest, and put that Diadora lettering where it actually belongs, you'd actually have a gorgeous jersey.
I'm down for a gold away kit, but not what they're pulling now, and certainly not all the time. I'd change up the away kit every year, and I would never settle for something as tacky and gaudy as what we've got right now. As for the European kits? It's unnecessary, sure, but it's a cool touch. Let'em have it.

Alex Myers98 said:So, a friend of mine works at Nike—she was just over in the States for some meeting—and she mentioned that Nike will most likely be taking over the new Dinamo Chicago kits instead of Puma. I really hope she's wrong; I honestly think Puma looks better on them. On top of that, she said the new US national team gear is supposedly coming out too.
That's just awful.

Look, Nike isn't exactly a bad choice, even if I'd personally prefer sticking with Puma. But as for the national team... they aren't due for new jerseys until 2012. How could they already be seeing them now? I get that stuff gets designed way ahead of schedule, but this feels like a massive stretch... We just got our new kits this year, and usually, these things run on two-year cycles.

Keith Jackson3 said:If you're going for the retro look with the jersey, why not wear the retro (original) crest too?😕

Personally, I’d say the original crest... at first glance, I was like, "There's no way these idiots actually put 1911 on the badge," but looking at it again, honestly, it works.

help, I need it for a gift

Honestly, you can’t find anything in New York City anymore. Back in the day—and I mean like, the old-school days—you could actually hit up a local flea market or some street fair and stumble upon what you needed. Nowadays? Forget about it. If you want to find anything remotely interesting, your only real shot is scouring the stalls at a massive flea market like Chelsea or hitting up some random pop-up stand if you're lucky. Otherwise, the options are basically non-existent.

Casey White13 I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this guy's take on things. It’s honestly hilarious.
P.S. regarding this first jersey with the city emblem... I mean, who’s actually going to give you grief over that symbol? Honestly, the Executive should be the one making those calls—it's Dynamo, after all. 🙂

Limited edition drop: "Mamić's final Christmas at Dynamo." Only 100 copies available—basically one for every single relative he has on the club's payroll. Something like that, right?

😂

Honestly, Umbro keeps their templates way more low-key than this. Anyway, here’s a look at what the Hajduk visiting kits look like:
Just one for the simpletons.
Just a little something for all the insecure types out there.
One for the old-schoolers.
Just one for the patriots out there.
And one for the modernists.

So, it’s up to you guys. Make your choice. 🤣

Alright, alright... some people actually stay on the clock until the job is done, you know? 😉

So, here we go—these would be the... home kits. Just a heads-up, I’m not even feeling all of these myself, but they’re built using this season's Pumin templates. Next year, they'll drop a whole new design, so the home kit will likely change too, while the away or third kits will probably reuse some of this year's patterns. To be honest, almost everything except the one at the bottom right uses this year's design; that specific one is inspired by the '82 kit because the rumor is it might be an actual replica. Take a look...

image

As for the away kits, I hit a bit of a creative wall. After I finished that red-white gradient, the black one, and the white-black-blue one, I figured it might be cool to bring back a white away kit after all these years. So, I put together these remaining ones in various white iterations. They aren't tied to the home designs; again, everyone except the bottom right one (which is also a retro throwback based on the 1982 away kit) follows this season's vibe. Aside from that one and the yellow-and-white one (if you've been following my kit fever dreams, I already floated the idea of a Vatican flag color scheme once) which is last season's design (though for teams like Hoffenheim, it stuck around this year), they're all current.

image

To wrap it up, looking at the home kits, my favorites are the '82 inspired one, the one right above it, and the far bottom-left one. For the away kits, it's the '82 version, the one above it, and the second one from the left in the bottom row.

Your turn to weigh in. 😁

Btw, I'll find some time tomorrow. Even though I'm basically just playing around with Dynamo kits, I'll try to cook something up regarding that Hajduk away kit. Though, like I've said before, I hate messing with Hajduk's gear because it's just so boring. The home kit is practically sacred—it's just a white shirt and blue shorts. Same goes for the away kit—red and blue vertical stripes. If they're thick, they're too much; if they're thin, they're too weak; if they're classic, we've seen it a million times. But hey, why not... 😉

Casey White13 said:Nah. I can't stand Puma. I’ve got a bad feeling the design is going to be a disaster. It’s just that typical lack of creativity they have—they’re so "innovative" that every single kit looks identical from one year to the next. Remember when they used to make those cheap, shiny ones that felt like literal wet plastic? Now they’ve all got that same weird triangular pattern running from the neck down to the armpit. Just repetitive and honestly... gross. 😢

It really would've been nice if Adidas had picked them up.

I kind of see where you're coming from, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in the Adidas basket either. Those guys are famous for dropping some seriously hideous templates (looking at you, Red Bulls), so I might actually be better off with Puma. Besides, we’re never satisfied anyway; things will probably look way better once we move past the Diadora era. And hey, even if it turns out to be ugly, plenty of other 😁
teams will be right there in the gutter with us.

Hey, for those few of you who actually know how to work Photoshop, are you guys messing around with any custom designs for the Dinamo jerseys? 😁

rowdymason3 said:Yeah, Steven is definitely rocking Adidas. So, does that leave us with Puma? Honestly, they aren't a bad choice, though I can't say I'm a fan of their latest patterns lately. They seem to overthink things too much, you know? It's like they lost that clean, effortless vibe you get from brands like Nike or Adidas. Personally, I don't think you can really do much better than what we've got here.

Look, they always have some hits and some massive misses. Personally, I’d be way more nervous if they rolled out a striped jersey, because stripes just don't work for Puma in my book—it looks a little too tacky:

image

As far as I'm concerned, based on those solid monochrome kits they've dropped in the past, I'm actually expecting something decent. In fact, I’m betting one of the kits (home, away, or third) will follow one of these three templates:

image

But what really gets me excited is that we're probably going to look pretty "trendy" 😁, since everyone from Tottenham Hotspur to those niche clubs on the left seems to be moving toward these fresh new designs.
Still, whatever they end up with...

image

...it'll definitely be an upgrade from this 😁

Jerry Perez3 said:That’s what I’m hearing, anyway. From some pretty solid sources. I don't have the fine print on the contract, but word is someone was tasked with bringing a massive global brand into the American soccer scene. Since the national team is locked into a heavy deal with Nike, and LA Galaxy is stuck with Umbro, Dinamo is left looking for a change. So, who could the new kit supplier be? 😉Let's just say they aren't really active in American soccer right now, even though Dinamo has worn their gear before.

Speaking as ruggedmason8, I am honestly, with all my heart, praying it’s Puma.
Who did Dinamo wear before New Balance? If I recall correctly, we had Lotto, Puma, Umbro, and Adidas... correct me if I missed anyone, it's possible.
Lotto isn't dead, per se, but they aren't exactly a heavyweight brand anymore, and since Umbro is busy with LA Galaxy, that leaves Puma and Adidas on the table.
I’m rooting for Puma for two reasons. First, they actually show a decent amount of respect to the clubs they kit out; they put in the work. Sure, they use templates, but their top-tier roster is huge, so we could realistically sit alongside a club like Club Brugge. Second, their kits look great. They haven't had any major design disasters lately and they’re always trying something fresh. My only gripe is that their shirts run super slim, which isn't exactly ideal for us "average" fans 😁, but let's be real—the last Dinamo jersey I actually bought was ages ago, that silver away one.
I really wouldn't want Adidas. They’re just such a massive corporation that, frankly, they couldn't care less about us. They’ll probably just slap a generic design on our third kit, much like they did for Partizan:

From an industrial standpoint, especially with a basic blue kit like the ones at least 50 other first and second division clubs across America will have. If they put us in the same tier as RBS:

image

then we'd be talking. But in my opinion, there's a much, much higher chance we end up like Partizan.

So, my first choice is Puma. Adidas... if there's literally no one else left.

Now, let's look at the odds... Adidas moved into Mexico and hooked up with Partizan, so they might try to grab Dinamo again. Puma hasn't made a move yet, but they are pretty strong in Canada, so maybe they're eyeing us next. Honestly, though, I think the odds are leaning toward Adidas.

On a side note, it’s interesting that the partnership with New Balance is ending... personally, I'm happy about it 😁, but we'll see. Hopefully, it means we get better kits for the Champions League next season. 🤣

EDIT: Yeah, it happened. For the 25th anniversary of their last match, the FC New York Cosmos is being revived. We all remember (okay, we don't *remember*, but we've seen the photos 😁) those incredible jerseys designed by Ralph Lauren, so this time they handed the design duties to the only company capable of hitting that retro-modern vibe the Cosmos needs, and we got these stunning Tailored by Umbro kits that look like they stepped straight out of the seventies:

absolutely mouthwatering 😁

Jerry Perez3 said:Starting with the 2011-2012 season, Dinamo isn't wearing New Balance anymore😉

A contract amendment? Are you kidding me? Back in 2007, they signed a six-year deal that committed Dinamo to wearing New Balance gear, with the brand supplying equipment worth a total of 17...$0.00.
So, if I’m tracking this right, back during the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons, we were stuck wearing those absolutely hideous "undershirt" style kits and those bright orange away jerseys—honestly, what were they thinking? Then, through 2009/10 and the first half of 2010/11, we moved into the blue and gold look. From there, we should be rocking these anniversary kits through the second half of 2010/11 and either most or all of the 2011/12 season. If everything goes according to plan, we might actually get some decent new gear for 2012/13.
So, here’s the deal with that contract: the original plan was to swap out the kit every two years, which would’ve given us three different looks in total. But then, obviously, everyone decided to go all out for the centennial celebration, so they dropped a brand-new set of jerseys for the anniversary. It’s pretty likely that led to a little contract amendment to make the math work.
You think you know more than I do? Please. I’m barely keeping my head above water most days. 😁

Kimberly Gomez34 said:Just so I can clarify something—Stimac is claiming that we’re the only ones who don't have the national emblem on our jerseys, only the federation's logo instead. WTF? What is he even talking about...

Look, I already posted this over in the thread about Stimac and the USSF, but if you look at some of the more well-known national teams, they actually use the national crest or the flag on their kits rather than just the federation logo. We're talking about teams like Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Canada, China, and even North Korea.

Let's get into it 😁

- Spain - honestly, I'm just not feeling it. It feels way too busy for me—too many colors and lines everywhere. It looks more like some random local high school league kit than anything else.
- Fulham - actually incredible, seriously top-tier. My only gripe is that color swap they did on the crest; I've always been against that move. Aside from that, though? The colors are killer, and the way they paired them with that bronze look is just chef's kiss... absolute fire jersey. 🙂
- Palmeiras - really sharp kit, super interesting vibe. They didn't mess it up at all here; it feels like Adidas is finally stepping their game up a bit. Honestly, maybe even their best work alongside the Dynamo Kyiv and Marseille designs.
- Ireland - since it's a charity kit, there isn't much to say besides the usual stuff about the crest design, similar to what I thought about Fulham.
- Thailand - stunning. Seriously, such a beautiful kit that really captures that old-school Nike aesthetic. Pure simplicity done right.
- Chile - nothing to write home about, really. Other than the whole collar situation, it’s just a decent, solid jersey.

Plus, regarding Molde, which we talked about quite a bit in that thread about Western European supporters: this is an absolutely legendary retro kit for the club's centennial:
