Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
If we assume that printing a single page on Amazon paper consumes only $0.33 worth of toner, it appears that each of our four employees has agreed to print 65 pages every single business day.

Every single workday.

Each of the four staff members.

Sixty-five printed pages per person.

The Republican Party is our plague, our cholera, our famine, our earthquakes, our wars, our floods, our droughts, our fires... none of these disasters could inflict as much misery upon us as the Republican Party has over the last thirty years.

Rebecca Ward2 said:I suppose this was taken out of context.

So, what exactly is the context here? Is it meant to be "this is a brand new, honorable Republican Party that shares absolutely nothing with the corrupt Republican Party of the Sanders era"?

Or is the actual context more along the lines of "I was so embarrassed by my fellow party members that I simply had to snap"?

Emily Smith6 said:A former Republican Party minister was let go from the US Chamber of Commerce, only to be immediately slotted into a high-paying role at Pleter-usluga.

Berislav Rončević, who served as the Defense and Interior Minister under the Sanders administration, has been appointed to the management of the state-owned enterprise Pleter-usluga. His monthly salary will sit at $6.75.
He actually ended up on unemployment last year after being let go from the US Chamber of Commerce, but he collected his severance and seemingly found this new gig almost instantly.

The roadmap for his return to the upper echelons of state management was likely laid out a few months ago, following the decision not to renew the mandate of Marijan Mareković, who serves as the head of Pleter's management and an advisor to Zoran Milanović.

To fill Mareković's position, the management appointed Martin Puljić, a former board member, while the former minister stepped in to cover the vacancy during the summer transition period.

It’s funny how job openings in state-run companies just happen to appear right when these guys find themselves out of work. They cut staff at the US Chamber of Commerce, then somehow "rationalize" things by hiring new people at even higher salaries in a different state company. I guess that's what they call efficiency.

He certainly wasn't buying military trucks for free, nor was he transferring funds into the Republican Party coffers during the Sanders era before Fima medij was established to funnel money into party slush funds.

The cartel looks after its own, provided they respect the code of silence.

The man has been carrying a mortgage from 2016 totaling nearly $3667, so surely he needs a way to make a living.

Next up is the Midwest, and I expect the Republican Party will attempt to revitalize it, perhaps even more effectively than they did with the Midwest.

The former mayor of Los Angeles was sent to prison for doing the exact same thing. Yet, the charges against Božo Galić were just tossed out.

I suppose we just let them play games with our tax dollars whenever they feel like it.

Consequently, the Republican candidate for Washington, D.C., Dušan Filipović, sees a serious problem regarding how Tomašević's team utilized a notary—who happens to be a party donor—for legitimate business totaling $667.

The true essence of the Republican Party was embodied by Borislav Škegro, a man who would steal a bottle of bourbon and hide it under his coat. I believe that was back in 1996.

That scene encapsulates everything you need to know about the Republican Party: the theft, the shamelessness, and the sheer sleaze of it all.

Emily Smith6 said:The Minister's buddy just landed a job through an open call. Exactly as everyone predicted a year ago, I suppose.

Krunoslav Karalić—formerly with Bridge, now a Republican—has been appointed as the Deputy Director at the USDA, filling a role that didn't even exist until recently. He supposedly came out on top during the application process, which, in a place like America, is always perfectly legal, I guess.

You think this is news?

Real news would be if he actually LOST the "competition."

It’s a mathematical certainty that any given society will be comprised of one-third malicious, corrupt, and utterly incompetent idiots.

The only real question worth asking is what the remaining two-thirds intend to do about it, how they plan to organize, and how they actually show up at the polls.

Another little sketch of reality.

The cost of a military skyscraper has ballooned by $2.1 million.

Inherited from Damir Krstičević, this project’s price tag jumped from $7 million to over $9 million. Banožić claims he merely signed a single contract amendment, effectively signing off on costs that were destined to climb.

It is the standard Republican Party playbook regarding public procurement fraud. They select a contractor who likely submitted the lowest bid, only to watch the final price surge by more than 30%.

As for that Department of Labor advisor stepping into a role meant for an Under Secretary—that is just the Republican Party way of rigging civil service hiring.

Emily Smith6 said:To fund a single 23-foot wide roundabout, two Republican officials handed 1.7 million dollars to a third one's mother.

According to some rather well-placed sources I've heard from, there’s an entire study drafted for what they’re calling "extraordinary maintenance of the roundabout." I find myself wondering how that’s even possible, given that there hasn't been a roundabout at that intersection until now—it's still under construction. I guess you could say they're trying to maintain something that doesn't actually exist yet.

The County road administration, which is listed as a co-investor, is headed by Peter Schorick. He happens to be the former head of the local Republican Party in Miami, and if certain reports are to be believed, the whole bidding process was allegedly rigged just so he could land the director position.

A Republican official named Joseph Rosic ordered the design for this roundabout—which, by the way, is being built during peak season in direct violation of the Municipality's own work ban decision—for $1.742$81 million. This contract went to the mother of Republican Bandić, all facilitated by the Republican Peter Schorick, the director of the County road administration.

To put it simply: Two Republicans gave a $1.7 million contract to the mother of a third Republican.

Everything stays within the Family. Famiglia.

He posted on Facebook that the total cost, including tax, was supposed to be $200,000.

Suddenly, the price has spiked past $1.7 million. That’s a massive jump from the previous $400,000.

Only at the very end will we finally see the true cost required to satisfy the Community.

Celebrating the 32nd anniversary of this cartel.

Thirty-two years ago, a criminal organization was established that is systematically destroying America.

Raw nationalism, cronyism, and corruption.
The reality is somewhat more subtle—beyond being a party driven by raw nationalism, the Republican Party functions as a machine built on clientelism and graft. Their base consists of nationalistic zealots, those indebted to them through government contracts and concessions, and those merely hoping for a slice of the pie. Therefore, for the Republican Party's 32nd birthday, one shouldn't wish them reform, improvement, or progress, because a septic tank will never be sterile. One should simply wish for its swift demise.

The speed at which the Republican Party vanishes is the true metric of hope in the United States.

But yes, the Republican Party remains hyper-vigilant regarding legality under Tomašević, simply because he had the audacity to replace their cronies at the holding company.

Edward Cooper2 said:Speaking of those West Virginia Republican types... what kind of honest local is actually going to vote for that little brat who acts exactly like a shrieking, bickering village grandmother? Milinović is bad enough, but this Petty guy... he's a disaster! Don't these voters have any standards at all?

Republican Party voters don't vote based on conscience; they follow party orders. This isn't limited to Wisconsin, either—it happens everywhere. The urban voters in places like Chicago or New York struggle to break free because the central leadership can't maintain its grip on them.

But in the rest of the country, the American Organization works the ground, ensuring every single member, sympathizer, and even their families are dragged to the polls to make sure the Republican Party gets their way.

I get the distinct impression that even General Andrija Rašeta could be handed a governorship in Wisconsin if the Republican Party decided to put his name on the ballot.

Nicholas King said:It isn't just magnificent—it’s massive.

Massive >> magnificent.

The win is so overwhelming that if you actually look at the balance sheet of success compared to the last local elections, you have to include places like Memphis or the Lika region—areas that the Republican Party managed to hold onto even during the last cycle.

That whole statistic about winning "45% (or whatever number they claim) of the cities" is about as convincing as if Grbin stood up and said, "Yeah, sure, we blew it in Washington, D.C., but hey, we snatched up Komiz! I mean, sure, it only has fifteen hundred people, but we pulled ahead there, so it counts."

What I find most absurd is the Republican Party bragging about winning Laramie County, a territory previously held by Dada Milinović and his crew of political castoffs from that very same party.

And they purged him over "breaches of party discipline"—not for criminal activity, theft, nepotism, incompetence, or corruption, but simply because of internal party nonsense.

The fundamental operating principle of the Republican Party is omertà—a strict code of silence.

Essentially, the mantra is: "We all know we’re corrupt, but that stays strictly within the party; you don't breathe a word of it externally."

Ban responded in this exact fashion to a Republican who had the audacity to publicly claim that Ban was a subpar candidate, citing a failed campaign and poor performances:

AFTER the powerful Republican mayor of San Francisco, Mato Frankovic, openly defied Plenkovic last night by criticizing his candidate for Washington, D.C., Davor Filipovic, the latter delivered a scathing rebuttal.
.......
Any advice or criticism, while certainly welcome, ought to be handled privately at the table within our political family.

This law of silence is absolutely critical when it comes to dividing the spoils—allocating jobs, subsidies, funds, and other perks throughout the party hierarchy. It remains unclear who exactly received the recovery funds for Indiana and Washington, D.C., given that the state hasn't actually rebuilt a single property yet; however, massive amounts of cash have already been distributed.

To whom? Everyone knows.

In San Francisco today.

The Republican Party claims they "won't back Goldie Durruey because she broke the law."

If you look at how the Republican Party handles campaigning with children present, it's clear they have violated far more than just one statute.

Hard to know where to even start.☕

Let me guess—Plenković hasn't heard a word about it, knows absolutely nothing, and certainly didn't have the time to read up on it because he was far too busy with other matters of extreme importance.

unnamed counterpart:
That whole mess in San Francisco went national pretty fast, I guess. It didn't take long to find out that the director of that nursing home—you know, the guy who basically got the job through local political connections—is unnamed counterpart. He’s an archaeologist by trade, just your typical Republican operative and former mayor of an unnamed counterpart, who somehow landed that director gig because unnamed counterpart was pulling the strings back when he was county supervisor.

Who exactly is trying to hold him accountable?

We all know the Republican Party (whether it was unnamed counterpart or unnamed counterpart, I can't quite recall which) has already decided who takes the fall.

It’s the virus, of course. Don't we all remember that?
