Olivia Roberts7 said:The media loves turning unstable people into "celebrities" instead of just ignoring them and letting them sink to where they belong. It’s the same story with him and those outlets like CNN or Fox News... You can't even hate people like that; you just have to feel sorry for them.

It's pickle season, I guess! Even a flat-earther and some random loudmouth feels right when things are this sour.

Well, go ahead and keep enjoying those comments! Act like they’re yours if it makes you feel better.

It’s like a dog barking at everyone else for losing their way, while being completely lost itself.

Spot on! Honestly, when parents lack any real discipline, they aren't actually raising kids—they’re just babysitting them until the day they finally bolt for the door.

Being a self-assured, mature individual is never going to get in the way of spirituality.
The real issue? It's how shallow our connections have become. People aren't willing to make sacrifices anymore, and frankly, there's a massive lack of proper guidance and upbringing...

Plus, we're totally lacking a clear vision of what kind of society or what kind of people we actually want to be.

Joshua Wright2 said:Growing up, I remember hearing endless talk about "Indigo children." Then, if I recall correctly, the narrative shifted toward "Crystal children," followed by a whole litany of other supposed special generations destined to arrive. Even as a kid, I found the whole concept somewhat whimsical, yet there was an undeniable sense of romance to it all. On one hand, parents were using these labels to coddle their children with a sense of uniqueness; on the other, there was this beautiful, lofty implication that these children possessed a certain essence that would eventually save or spiritually uplift the world, making it a better place for those who follow. It felt like a reflection of a parent’s soul—a vision of the kind of world they truly hoped to see tomorrow.

Yet, as the years have quietly slipped by, these stories and aspirations seem to have evaporated. I cannot shake the impression that almost no one thinks about creating a more romantic, spiritual world anymore, nor do they believe their child will be the one to "save" it. Truthfully, our culture has become increasingly materialistic, consumerist, and driven by pure hedonism. We see more and more parents attempting to leverage their children for instant gratification, whether they are grooming them to become the next NFL superstar, a pop icon, or even the next Kardashians. The most melancholy aspect of this shift is how accurately it reflects the modern parent's own ambitions and their vision for their child's future. I am not suggesting this wasn't happening before, but today, this trajectory feels inevitable.

What has happened to us? What became of that sense of romance? What happened to our dreams?

Honestly, it looks like a total lack of manners—not just from the kids, but from their parents too.

So, when is this thing finally hitting the end of the line?🙏

It’s like when you see an atheist who genuinely believes there’s nothing after this life but still manages to show up, function, and stay upbeat... it wouldn't be right for me to judge someone who’s found their own little slice of peace, even if it seems weird to me. It's just interesting to watch.
Personally? I'll be the first to admit this world isn't my scene. There's nothing left for me here besides finding a way out of the Matrix. If someone called me a wimp for thinking that, I'd just shrug and say "so what?" Better to be a wimp in paradise than a tough guy in hell. 🤔

The thing is, he’s openly preaching absolute nonsense as if it were gospel truth. Honestly, I don't just doubt his mental stability; I think he’s become a total laughingstock, and frankly, he’s a bad look for everyone who actually holds faith.

There are plenty of ways to lose your grip, but claiming the Earth is just a flat plate? That takes the cake. It’s right up there with saying aliens stole your car or that you’re God himself.

That hasn't even been an option for quite some time now...

It’s just such a massive drain on everyone's time, energy, and sheer willpower to focus on something this bizarrely useless.
Honestly, we’d probably get much better results just tending to a flock of sheep or goats instead...🙏

Gay people are fine, provided they just stop insisting on being different from everyone else.🤣

It’s basic survival, really. Like how frogs should stay away from the swamps, or how giraffes need those long necks, or how alligators belong in the bayou...

The logic is just bizarre.
Maybe if they changed the books in the halls of Vatican City, they'd realize that love isn't a sin just because it doesn't follow some arbitrary rulebook.

Just like any true Catholic, Elvis Presley firmly believes in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ within the sacrament of the Eucharist.

Well, he better stick to that, because it’s about the only thing he's actually got going for him!

Thomas Nelson25 said:You should try moving out to the Midwest. It’s getting more rundown by the day.

Total chaos.

Just you wait. Once those massive corporations swoop in after 2019, they'll be snatching up all that fertile Midwestern soil for pennies on the dollar. Seriously, like two bucks an acre!

It’s a joke. There aren't enough people left, and there won't be any land either; everything will be sold off and everyone displaced—but hey, America is leading the way, right? Absolute champions!🙂

Ego vs. Spirituality in Spirituality ·
feralranger said:Frankly, I cannot name a single person who lives without an ego. The ego—that essential cocktail of self-awareness, personality, and the very memories that weave together our identity—is present in every healthy individual. It is absent in small children who haven't yet developed a sense of self, and it is absent in those with severe cognitive impairments. One also loses the ego during the advanced stages of Alzheimer's or in states of extreme intoxication... though in the earlier stages, it certainly knows how to run wild...

Furthermore, I have observed a peculiar pattern: those failed "teachers" or "preachers" who rail against the ego—which, let’s be honest, is perfectly normal and human—are often nothing more than massive egomaniacs themselves. It follows a certain twisted logic, really; in order for someone to impose their own megalomaniacal whims upon others, they find it quite convenient to dismantle the perfectly healthy egos of everyone else, thereby clearing a path to spread their own egocentrism.

Even here on the forums, many of these self-proclaimed "spiritualists" and "gurus" turn out to be blatant egomaniacs—persecutors of the ego (the normal kind, belonging to others) while remaining blissfully, perhaps even willfully, unaware of their own narcissism.
