Where exactly are you looking? On my end, I'm seeing an extreme spike...😂
It's manipulation—plain and simple—based on the Federal Reserve data.😉
Gold is sitting at $1,729/oz.

The reason:
GoldMoney ‏@GoldMoneyNews

RT @jamesgrickards: #Fed easing on Sept 13th is a done deal.
It seems to me that Linić has completely lost his mind...😂

Now he’s playing the victim—all while he and Ljubo Jurčić were already hammering out the sale terms with ExxonMobil...🙂

Maybe they should just ban them from parking in downtown zones... that would probably worry them more than any gas station inspection ever could.😂

Bill Gross

Gross: It looks like Draghi is ready to cut massive checks—we’re talking 2-3 year commitments—to support the periphery. This is highly reflationary. My move? Buy gold, TIPS, and real assets.

analogharbor44 said:Then why wasn't silver at $48 back then? Does that mean this consolidation phase keeps going until it hits $48 again?

You're right—it actually went above $48 once. Regarding consolidation—that refers to the price floor established during a decline, lasting until the downward trend finally breaks...

Here is an explanation for the colleague asking why silver prices are climbing:
Bill Murphy:
*Then today I received a phone call from a sophisticated Gold/silver trader. This person asked me about a client who was having trouble getting his $5 million silver order delivered. He is getting one excuse after another why he is not getting his physical silver. The question to me was about the manufacturing dates these days for silver being delivered … meaning that what is delivered are current date bars … because there just isn’t any silver around in size to be delivered. SMOKE is everywhere. It is billowing and is advertising the coming silver fire.

😉

As for silver, its parabolic move happened much earlier than gold's (hitting $1,923)—primarily because silver is most sensitive to inflation expectations. Once the QE2 program ended, silver stopped rising and began its descent...
Now, those inflation expectations are back in play—rising food costs, monetary stimulus from China, the European Union, and potentially the United States—therefore, silver has no choice but to rise...😍

quiettrucker12 said:Gold is the boss here. Silver tends to track the commodity index a bit closer—back in May 2011, both silver and the CRB/commodity indices hit their peaks at the exact same time. There’s this theory floating around that a silver bull market always stays way ahead of gold's, but honestly, I don't buy it. My take? The longer the bull market drags on, the less silver acts like an industrial metal and the more it just mimics gold instead of those commodity indexes.

😁

After the correction, gold needed some breathing room to find its footing. As we predicted, it went into a consolidation phase. That sideways grind lasted about a year, carving out a downward trendline, and now gold has finally broken out above it—though it could have just as easily broken lower.

👏

Silver entered its bull market after gold did...
And silver's consolidation period lasted nearly a year and a half—which is longer than gold's...
Both gold and silver are breaking through key resistance levels; the sentiment is becoming increasingly bullish.😉
If there is any truth to the rumors of central bank intervention this September... things are going to move up aggressively.😍

The broader picture is actually quite grim—I'm looking at the data coming out of China:
European Union exports dropped by 16.2% in July.
Exports to Italy fell by 26.6% (year-over-year).
Iron ore prices plummeted 33% over the last month alone.
The issues within the European Union remain unresolved—not a single one of them.
Things aren't exactly rosy for Americans either—with elections approaching, if they intend to help Obama secure a win, they'll need to be hitting "Ctrl+P" on those stimulus measures pretty hard.😂

Anthony Evans78 said:quiettrucker12, don't go giving him bad advice here. 🙂 Silver hasn't been keeping pace with gold for years now; if anything, the trend used to be the other way around. 🙂
If you're buying physical bullion, it’s pretty straightforward—just buy it, bury it, and leave it alone for a decade.
But if you want to gamble with paper assets, you'd better have nerves of steel and be ready to lose everything when the market decides to go crazy.
And obviously, do your homework before you throw any money at this.

He made a solid point to his colleague... now he just needs to explain why gold spiked in the first place. 😂

Melissa Sanchez17 said:But nope, still no sign of any more Quantitative Easing. He keeps calling it an option, but if you ask me, there’s zero chance of anything happening before the election. If they actually pull the trigger before then, it just means we’re in deep trouble—total chaos. Plus, his rhetoric feels... off. It’s like the whole vibe of this situation has shifted completely compared to where we were just a month ago, right?

I could agree that it's awkward for Ben to pull the trigger on Quantitative Easing 3 before the election... however... the global situation is so dire that by the time the election rolls around, there might not be anything left to save.

That brings us to the issue in Europe...
And then there's China—they've committed to a $1.2 trillion stimulus package...
That creates a massive headache for Americans regarding the trade deficit with China and the dollar-yuan exchange rate...

Beyond that, we shouldn't forget that during the QE2 rally, the market started moving three months before Ben actually made the official announcement... and looking at the precious metals right now, it smells exactly like that.😍

Anthony Evans78 said:Hey quiettrucker12, what kind of commodity is gold, really? Is it being consumed? No, most of it is just sitting there as jewelry or held as currency.
It’s been used as money for thousands of years.
The issue isn't that silver is theoretically manipulated; it's being manipulated in practice every single day, and the evidence is everywhere. Unless you actually believe it's normal to sell more silver than exists on the entire planet—selling short at the level of total annual production—but I guess the rules of physics don't apply to paper trading.
What traders? What amateurs? In a world run by Citadel and algorithms, human traders are basically just statistical errors. That chart you posted just proves it wasn't people selling that silver, but computers (just look at that insane volume spike in such a tiny window).
And you're missing the bigger picture. We're living through a complete shift in how "investing" works. It should be obvious that you don't stand a chance against machines; it takes literally one second to get wiped out. The final parabolic move? When the dollar and the euro hit zero, people will be scrambling to buy gold, silver, land, and guns, while trillions in paper and digital zeros become worthless overnight. 🙂
At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is knowing how to actually do something useful. 😉 I suspect traders (along with lawyers and managers) will be the first victims of natural selection. 🙂

If that scenario plays out, people will be forced to trade food, canned goods, land, water, silver, gold, and ammunition just to survive—all so those who are bragging today can afford their basic needs later... the real question is whether there will even be anything left to trade.
I highly doubt anyone will be accepting fancy paper certificates from the CME Group or the NYSE. 😂

And that whole "as soon as the price drops you can't get a word in" bit... seriously? You're tripping... tell me exactly how many times I've jumped in when prices take a dive.
Just keep spinning your little fairy tales... I don't need your "explanations," especially after watching you get absolutely shredded on other forums more times than I can count.
You're exhausting with these outbursts, but whatever... go ahead, keep playing your little games.

So now, suddenly, we’ve lost our confidence, our composure, and our chill... yet when metallurgy starts climbing, we’re all high-strung... and now the response is just "stop nitpicking"? It’s funny how we act like we're handing out lessons as if we were Boris Vujčić himself, isn't it? 😂

It's honestly embarrassing how little tolerance you have for market volatility...🙂

Melissa Sanchez17 said:And let's be real—that "perfect timing" isn't happening until after the US elections are settled, regardless of who's in the White House 😍. Gas and grocery prices here in the States are hitting ceiling levels, inflation is a nightmare, and unemployment is still a mess. Meanwhile, the Stock market is sitting at these crazy highs. For Obama, kicking off more Quantitative Easing right now would be straight-up political suicide. The only way that works is if they're planning to install that Mormon candidate (who, by the way, seems pretty hell-bent on an invasion of Syria)

It's true—Ben Bernanke definitely wants to avoid being forced into Quantitative Easing before the election... because doing so would essentially pick the winner for them... however... Barack Obama is likely to win regardless, and the global economy is in a desperate state. If Ben Bernanke waits until early next year, there might be nothing left to save.........🤣

We'll see 😉

quiettrucker12 said:This would basically be a preemptive strike against Quantitative Easing—a full-on currency war. The article lists it in Pounds, which works out to about $1.25 trillion, or roughly 1 trillion Euros.

Exactly. Such a massive stimulus would be a direct reaction to the realization that the Fed is moving toward Quantitative Easing 3—or rather, it’s a sign that the decision has already been made and they're just waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger.

If that happens, anyone betting on a drop in metals prices can kiss those hopes goodbye.🤣
Gold: Past, Present, and Future in Other Investment Types ·
If this news about China injecting $800 billion into their economy holds up... metal prices are going to skyrocket😍...and commodity prices will follow suit too.😉

Maybe he'll be the one laughing when everything finally settles down.

Why even bother picking on him?😍........Look, we've been chatting back and forth with him and Francis just a little bit.......it isn't right to stay silent now, yet the moment prices start dropping, you can't even get a word in with those two......they immediately demand an explanation for why things are falling.🤣
