I mean, those are all just standard hotel amenities anyway. Personally, my favorite way to unwind when I'm staying at a place is to just lounge around the AT&T offices for a bit. Talk about top-tier wellness and a killer pool.
As for the mayor, I'm not so sure... but both deputy mayors would definitely be out there checking on the junior varsity teams, even if they didn't hold those titles.
And if you don't get why we celebrate the juniors, you clearly haven't spent enough time in Washington, D.C.
Just imagine, the Mayor of San Francisco heading out to catch a Los Angeles FC match. And then you've got the Deputy Mayor, who actually used to be on the board of that very same club, showing up to watch them too.
Whether this is actually a good move or not, dozens of businesses are already flocking to the area. Even now, the parking situation near the Chase Bank branch is an absolute disaster.
It’s honestly ridiculous to cram 12 and 27-story high-rises onto a lot that small, especially when you're only offering a few levels of underground parking.
If she starts folding under pressure, they’re going to take a massive hit.
The goat knows exactly how to pull their strings. That high-end rancher out by Meja already slashed her rent, and then had the nerve to throw in a subsidy on top of it.
It’s all just nonsense; she can open preschools wherever she damn well pleases... meanwhile, let Puljak take out a loan for, say, $2.5 million—which is basically what it would cost to cover those subsidies alone over five years. I’m pretty sure you could build at least 1,000 square feet of a new preschool with that kind of cash, which should be plenty to house all these kids.
Zachary Anderson20 said:Who is that guy from Times Square? Unnamed US corporation. Look, I'm not trying to defend this Mayor, but this five-page worship session over some old, sick lady is getting exhausting. And yeah, unnamed US person is a bit much for me too, but let's be real—unnamed US person hasn't spared a single mayor yet. And they shouldn't. These "holy cows" and their whole cult vibe is just boring. As for unnamed US person, your bio looks great, and I actually mean that. Anyway, did the mail at the unnamed US parking authority go past the competition? San Diego 3 is honestly one of the easiest neighborhoods to work in right out of the gate.
I'm not asking anyone for anything, not even for unnamed US person to show mercy... but he only seems to spit venom at unnamed US person when it touches his personal life—like his coffee shop, a former colleague, or that bookstore that isn't even an antiquarian since they only sell textbooks.
So, you’re living in a downtown apartment for free—not even paying that tiny bit of rent—and yet (allegedly, if you believe unnamed US person) you're somehow facing massive legal judgments. And now the City is supposed to just write off the measly rent you haven't paid in years?
In this country, it's pretty clear that only the fat cats come out on top.
Or are they just busy playing the victim for those who aren't doing their jobs? You know, the ones actually paying their dues only to be kicked out anyway... oh wait, I forgot, they only care about the Republican appointees, not Hickenlooper.

Then Eric Adams breaks the rules by slashing the amount.
Justin Trudeau would have to be delusional to go along with that. The FBI would be knocking on his door by tomorrow morning. He's already being investigated for things he didn't even do; imagine what would happen then. 🤣
Like I said... she's in a weak position because that's the only spot where she can run a daycare (if I understood that correctly)... which means she can either play along with whatever tune they want her to dance to, or she can take the bad hand, put the property up for bid, and actually get market value—but then it won't be a daycare anymore, just some random antique shop. 😁
That’s just commercial space on the ground floor of a residential building. Under the current zoning laws, you can't open any new daycare centers in these types of buildings anymore. Basically, the ones already operating are grandfathered in, but once they leave, that spot is stuck. Honestly, while the interior looks fine, there's nowhere for the kids to actually go outside—no park, no yard, nothing. There's a Joker right across the street, and it's all just concrete and asphalt. Not a single blade of grass in sight.

Unfortunately, I’m worried Justin Whitmer might cave here, hiding behind the "it's for the kids" excuse.
The whole thing puts them in a corner because you can't exactly build a preschool in a landfill... well, maybe she can, but I doubt anyone else would want to.
I mean, if they build a whole complex without any childcare facilities, I guess it's better than nothing. But when you win a contract by offering the highest bid, you should probably be prepared to actually pay up for what was promised.
Eric Lopez79 said:Man, what is up with these people over at the local news outlet don't they have any shame? Then this lady Virginia shows up out of nowhere trying to blackmail everyone just because Hadez isn't the boss anymore Ed Lee needs to shut this down—send an inspector over there to see where those kids are actually staying. It looks like a total dump
Quinn:
urgent parenting alert Derrick jacked up the rent for a private daycare to $4,000! This email from the owner really freaked out parents with 200 little ones
It’s all following the same old script... now they'll start playing the sympathy card for those poor kids... And predictably, it's never the fault of the children or the parents—just a tragic outcome because of some greedy principal who’s going to end up screwing over both the students and their families.
I’m with you on that—we have to call out every single anomaly we find. Like Vincent mentioned in his latest piece, it's wild how this law firm suddenly cut a check to the City for an amount they’d previously seized.
Since so many cities rely on those specific lawyers, I’d say they’re either tied to the local political machine or they’re just the only ones who actually know how to handle out-of-state collections.
And then there's the implication that the mayor hasn't sorted this out yet... Honestly, if I were running for mayor, figuring out exactly who is slapping these parking fines on tourists would be right at the top of my agenda.
