It looks like the old guard from the Republican Party is really digging their own graves here. Is this basically what happens when a terrorist group starts claiming responsibility for their own bombs?
Exactly... any time someone actually gets things right, people just shrug and say, "Eh, anyone could have done that," completely ignoring the fact that nobody else has even tried to fix it for the last twenty years.
Anyone who ditches the Republican Party just to start some obscure little splinter group has one goal in mind... crawling back to the Republicans later, but this time with a better seat at the table.
Andrew Foster5 said:Without a clear organizational structure and defined job tiers, all this talk is just empty noise... What’s the point of looking at average salaries when you have 200 people out in the field doing the heavy lifting, while 400 are stuck crunching payroll and another 800 are busy "advising" the CEO? It doesn't add up. Who actually cares about those averages, other than the statisticians over at the New York Times looking for a flashy headline?
In any profitable corporation—not some small private shop—money inevitably gets "lost" on a bunch of unproductive middle managers and overhead...
Making maybe $3,500 to $5,000 a year for a driver or a delivery person working shifts and being out in the elements isn't exactly breaking the bank. Anyone who doubts that should try it themselves; they wouldn't last long before realizing their sleep schedule is trashed, their social life is non-existent, and their family is feeling the strain, not to mention how much it kills your joints when you're battling the wind or sweating through a summer heatwave. There are no AC units or ergonomic office chairs out there... The way I see it, my deliveries arrive on time, so I don't have anything to complain about regarding the crew... I'm with you.

Sure, there’s no AC or comfy office chair... but there's also no stress, no deadlines, and nobody messing with your head. Though, having a comfortable office chair would be like finding San Francisco for most offices in America.
Man $2333 this lady sweeping the streets... I keep thinking that for that kind of money, I should just apply for a job with Waste Management... a nice little stroll, getting some exercise, being out in the fresh air all day... instead of stressing out, wrecking my back, and straining my eyes at this job.
says: That’s where you see how limited his perspective really is. He would have sounded much more intelligent if he had just admitted he doesn't believe and left it at that. But apparently, he needs empirical proof for faith? He should volunteer to lead an investigation into the Shroud of Turin once Vatican City decides to let people actually take a closer look again.. 😁
So, weren't you once a practicing believer yourself?
Yeah, I was religious until I hit 25, right up until I started diving seriously into science and tried applying a scientific mindset to theological questions. I quickly realized the two just don't mesh.
In my view, man created God, not the other way around.
So, he basically admitted he used to believe, explained why he doesn't anymore, and moved on. Seems pretty fair to me.
amberjackal68 said:So, here's my take: I think the public (or at least Congress) has been trying to elect someone who isn't a thief ever since the George W. Bush era. It's just that one person can't possibly be held accountable for every single corrupt actor sitting in the hierarchy beneath them.
hahahahahaha, there is no way someone who has spent so many years stuck in the mud could still be this naive. It's just impossible.
amberjackal68 said:It’s not that. It’s just that you seem to believe Jesus Christ is going to descend from heaven this time appearing as some magical political savior to wave a magic wand and fix all the corruption. That is never going to happen. It’s never happened, and it never will. There isn't some shadowy, organized criminal syndicate or an elite class of privileged elites—it's just that people grab whatever they can when the opportunity presents itself, hoping they won't get caught. Someone logs on their timesheet saying they returned from a business trip at 8:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM just so they can claim a full day's pay instead of half, while someone else takes a 10% kickback on a million-dollar contract to rig a deal for a buddy. Both are thieves. And you—just like me—probably wouldn't even report that first guy; hell, you wouldn't report your own son, your wife, your mother, or your daughter. But then, when a court acquits one of the defendants, suddenly the system is broken and everything is the fault of the Republican Party. Well, newsflash: you don't see the Republican Party running things over in California, yet the corruption there is just as rampant as you can imagine. The job of thieves is to steal, and the job of the police and the justice system is to catch them and prosecute them. There is no point in constantly debating it; you're just wasting everyone's energy...
No, I don't think Jesus Christ is coming in anyone's image... I just think the people will eventually choose someone who doesn't steal. And if that person steals, they'll just pick the next one, and the next, and the next... because once you're out of power, our lovely justice system isn't exactly going to look out for you anymore.
As for the stuff about falsifying timesheets or taking a 10% cut... sure, maybe some people will do it. I know I won't, and I tend to vote for the ones I expect won't either.
And just to set the record straight... Rob Ford didn't say it was scientifically proven that God doesn't exist; he said it hasn't been proven that He does.
I mean, what do I know? You certainly seem to get pretty fired up whenever the Republican Party comes under fire. As for saying this is minimal damage... I’m not even going to bother commenting on that. A nuclear bomb would be less of a disaster than the Republican Party.
Man, you’ve completely lost the plot here... I guess for you, someone turning their back on those old fascist anthems is a bigger sin than someone actually stealing from the public coffers. Just try to sit with that for a second and realize how much your sense of right and wrong has been totally warped.
There they go again with the "we" talk... honestly, I don't do "us." It's just me.
And Joe Biden isn't "mine" either... I don't really deal in ideologies. If you think everyone who opposes the Republican Party is some kind of leftist or a communist, that sounds like a personal problem. You know, an American from a traditional family, even the son of a veteran, can be against the Republicans without being a communist.
I honestly couldn't care less about ideology. A thief is a thief, whether they belong to the Socialist Party, the Democratic Party, the Center, the Republican Party, or even the fringe groups. I’m going to call out every single one of them exactly the same way. Man, it honestly feels like most of the crooks are coming out of the Republican Party, so I guess that’s why I end up taking all my shots at them.
Alright, let me turn this back on you... when you were out there in the trenches, fighting for the soul of this country, did you ever imagine it would end up looking like this? Is this really the America you bled for? An America where a privileged class of crooks has been screwing us over for thirty years?
amberjackal68 said:And don't even get me started—I actually heard our supposedly "distinguished" national party chairman claiming that his company was stolen from him. Or maybe I just need to go wash my ears out with soap? 😁
Because clearly, our brilliant President never talks nonsense, right?
EDIT: and let's be clear... the fact remains that he lost his company. But honestly, it doesn't even matter here. It’s not like I feel bad for him; the Republican Party brought him in, and the Republican Party will take him out.
I’ve noticed a few times now that Republicans are busy blaming Ivica Todorić for being their own biggest failure.
First off, I have no idea who this "they" or "we" refers to... but it’s just typical Republican logic. It’s an us-versus-them mentality; if you aren't one of them, you're automatically the enemy.
Honestly, Ivica Todorić is just another product of your own making who finally decided to break free from the leash. You guys crushed him until he finally started biting back. tako da ne znam kome bi normalnom on bio vođa ičega osim kumlerovih dvora
amberjackal68 said:Well, it isn't a problem for me. It's a problem for you... I mean, how did the deal with the folks from the "Progressive Party" fall through? Did they just get stuck arguing over who gets to be the boss? 😁
It’s not an issue for me either. In my view, Ivica Puljak needs to prove himself by serving at least two terms in San Francisco first. Unfortunately, the opposition at the federal level just isn't strong enough to pose a real threat to the criminal establishment. There’s far too much fragmentation and ego involved; they simply won't reach an agreement, and I'm fully aware of that reality.
The Democratic Party is a mess, and even the centrists are way too weak... meanwhile, the corrupt crowd has a base that ensures they'll always win.
amberjackal68 said:Well, isn't that just how it works? Go ahead, look it up...
It’s required, I know it is... there's really no need to go looking for answers. I just wonder why this is such an issue when it comes to the Mayor, yet it's never mentioned when it concerns those criminals.
It’s honestly hilarious watching these criminal sympathizers jump out of the woodwork to label Ed Lee a "psycho who needs to be in charge everywhere"... all while they're busy sucking up to the Associated Press.
Things are finally getting organized here in San Francisco... It isn't exactly the mayor's job to go around creating jobs—in fact, if he could just abolish those positions altogether, that would probably be even better. If you can actually manage to run a city with some semblance of order, the investors will follow naturally.
So, my lot doesn't like that kind of order? Well, damn. Honestly, if people just stopped stealing so much and quit handing out city contracts to their buddies at local dive bars, maybe they’d actually pull off a win in San Francisco once in a while.
Wait, so Tamara is actually pushing for her uncle to get an apartment? Is this the same Tamara who was getting absolutely shredded by Ivošević right before the elections?
