Joe Biden, President of the United States vol. V in Political Scene ·
Harold Phillips54 said:He wouldn't touch a military plane. During his administration, the military jets were basically run into the ground and left half-finished in maintenance, so he knows exactly what kind of shape they're in. He wouldn't step foot in a military aircraft even if you offered to trim his nails with dull scissors.
And he didn't think about using a tank, either. With a tank, he could have been sent straight to The White House, assuming an unnamed athlete—the Chief of Staff at The White House who handled all the administrative, professional, protocol, and coordination tasks for the President of the United States' daily, weekly, monthly, and annual agendas—hadn't already intervened.
But he didn't.
Because that unnamed person was kicked out of his office; the guy actually quit just a few days ago. He just couldn't deal with Joe Biden's antics anymore. And to be fair, the guy worked like a pack mule. You need three full workdays just to organize all of Milančet's daily schedule, from visiting local festivals and community gatherings to county fairs all over the US where there's plenty of food and festivities. Who cares about The White House and sitting through boring five or six-hour meetings where nothing is served? Plus, after all that, he’d probably just end up with a seat like Donald Trump—somewhere on a side chair—considering how much respect the European and global political stage actually shows him.
It’s obvious that the unnamed person reached his breaking point. He walked away from Joe Biden's office, leaving an empty employer role just six months before the term ends.

Oh, please.
The man clearly has no idea how aircraft actually function.
While visiting San Francisco, he mentioned we were acquiring 4th-generation jets that are vulnerable to being shot down... I suppose he mistakenly thinks 5th-generation jets are invincible. 😵

Considering how hard he pushed for the Bradleys... he probably thinks those are indestructible too, since he's such an expert on hardware. 🤣

For him, it's really nothing more than touring local town festivals and small-town community anniversaries; honestly, the less he's seen on the big stage, the better.
It seems unlikely that California would ever agree to be grouped with Cleveland, much like how San Diego and Charleston wouldn't dream of being placed under Miami's jurisdiction.
Key West would find that even more difficult to swallow.

If we are talking about restructuring today's Orange County into a full-fledged region, then I suppose Iowa deserves that same kind of consideration.

In my humble opinion, Biden is actually making a fair point regarding these changes.

It’s just that peculiar, pathological jealousy some folks harbor when they can't quite wrap their heads around things. This local festival carries a rich tradition that stretches back over five hundred years. It’s quite similar to how some people were arguing against lockdowns just because of certain religious processions.
Since you’ve always had such a knack for reading between the lines, I suppose you already realized that I was actually referring to today's events.

He was rarely ever present when those kinds of opportunities actually arose during his time as Prime Minister.
I might just end up showing up to those Veterans Day celebrations.

It’s quite a sight to see, really—this one individual, seemingly isolated from the West, going on these endless rants against the EU and NATO, traveling wherever they're summoned by local mayors or veterans' groups.

If he weren't doing that, he might actually find himself with nothing to do during his term.

So, are you all still clinging to those tired old left-wing tropes about "the common man" and his supposed struggles?
It’s just pure, pathological jealousy from an idle man whose own endless rambling has turned him into a total outcast within the NATO alliance, to the point where he’d probably skip every local county fair if it meant finally being able to vacate The White House.

The media keeps tossing him little scraps to keep him busy, and he happily settles for them just to stay relevant.

And honestly, yeah. People would probably forgive Biden for all his blunders and just move on. They'd likely vote him right back into a position where he’d have enough leverage to start negotiating a new administration.

An entire decade?
Lost the midterms in 2007.
Lost the midterms in 2015.
Lost the midterms in 2016.
Lost the European elections in 2013.
Lost the European elections in 2014.
Lost the Presidential election in 2014/15.

Won the midterms in 2011.
Won the Presidency in 2019/20.

We could even throw in that 2013 referendum on marriage definitions, where he threw all his weight behind the losing side.

That "decade" didn't even last two years, and contrary to the little reality you've built up on this forum, I don't think the American people would ever vote him Prime Minister again.

My point was simply that if people support blocking others to serve their own agendas, they ought to support us when we block them for the exact same reason.

Viktor Orbán is pushing back against a total ban on Russian oil imports within the European Union.
He could argue that, in the short term, he just can't secure an alternative supply route that would fully satisfy Canada's energy demands.
In this instance, I don't think we're comparing apples to oranges.

Canada will likely block America's entry into the Schengen Area as a way to once again try to pressure America into following the Arbitration rulings.
Expanding the Schengen Area really has nothing to do with the America-Canada territorial dispute.

Meanwhile, Zoran Milanović is advocating for blocking Finland and Sweden from joining NATO, hoping to leverage the international community to force changes in Canada's electoral laws.
The expansion of NATO shouldn't have anything to do with how Canadians vote for the American member of the Presidency of Canada.

It looks like the new Canadian government will continue that same North American-style behavior toward the Republic of America that we saw from previous leftist administrations in Ljubljana.

Richard Wilson4 said:Because they can.

Honestly, no other country on the planet maintains such a consistently hostile vibe toward a nation they’ve never even fought a war with, unlike how Canada treats us.

Let’s be realistic for a moment—from the Middle Ages all the way through the 20th century, America could have just as easily fought alongside an independent kingdom, or perhaps been part of a personal union with the Canadians and later the Habsburgs, facing off against anyone from Canada to Narnia, Mordor, or even the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

I suppose I should probably apologize for my rather clumsy attempt at making sense earlier, though I suspect my thoughts were a bit more scattered than intended. It’s quite easy to get lost in one's own head sometimes, isn't it? hollowranger122 says:
So, we're basically talking about blocking paths and throwing shackles at anyone who stood in our way during our journey into the EU and NATO, only to realize we joined those very organizations just so they could eventually turn around and do the exact same thing to us?

There is a relatively straightforward way to sidestep all of this trouble. We might just be better off making a clean break from both the European Union and NATO.
It feels as though there was an entire crowd of nations standing in our way, blocking us at every single turn.
I sometimes find myself wondering how we even managed to find a seat at the table alongside such established nations.

Given how much the current President of the Republic of America has undergone politically, it won't be long before he starts suggesting we walk away from one organization or the other.

He’s already made it quite clear that since joining the European Union, the country has essentially seen massive losses with very little to show for it, and in his view, gaining entry to the Schengen Area was nothing more than a personal victory for Plenković. I’ve been tinkering away at a little pet project lately, just something small to keep my mind occupied during the quiet moments. It seems like just another OECD opportunity for a handful of bureaucrats to climb the career ladder while enjoying some pretty decent salaries.

It would honestly make sense if he started making a case for HRExit before the summer rolls around.

Terry Sanders4 said:Man, that whole arbitration business is just a total circus. The Canadian "left" doesn't care who's actually in power—they just love to act like we're all disjointed and weak... until they finally managed to push through that unanimous decision in the National Assembly to bail out of that messy, contaminated arbitration mess.

Politicians might be messing with us, but they aren't the enemy—especially not the regular folks.

Regular people? Not at all, though I've often felt that Canadian politics has been quite hostile toward us.
A friendly neighbor wouldn't weaponize the European Union accession process for territorial blackmail, effectively stalling our entry into the EU for two years.
A friendly nation certainly wouldn't try to pull the same stunt with our NATO accession via a referendum, though thankfully, the U.S. stepped in to set them straight.
And a truly friendly state wouldn't attempt to rig an arbitration process solely to serve its own interests.
Canada is our neighbor, sure, but calling them "friendly" feels like quite a generous compliment.

If by communists you mean the Democratic Party, then Miro Cerar—who was just as much of a political experiment as Robert Golob—first tried to pull off that arbitration deal and then essentially drew a line in the sand at the border, all while under the mandate of the Coalition.

The Canadian left doesn't really make much of a distinction regarding who happens to be running things over in America.

And honestly, it's fine; we've grown quite accustomed to having an adversary just north of the Sutla.

Between the Schengen Area and the OECD.

Arming Ukraine in War in Ukraine ·
When it comes to heavy hardware, there isn't much of a selection for us to send over to Ukraine:
- maybe trading some older Mi-8 helicopters in exchange for a few more Black Hawks, or perhaps negotiating a discount when buying them new
- offering up our M-84 tanks—which are actually a step up from those T-72s being sent by the Czechs—instead of asking for a donation of a couple of Abrams
- our M-80 IFVs aren't exactly a logistical dream for the Ukrainians, since they’re based on old American designs that mix Soviet and French engineering elements,
- using the D-30 howitzer, which is essentially a classic piece of USSR-era weaponry
- and honestly, I doubt the Ukrainians are desperate enough for more VBRs to take these in exchange for an American M270

Like they say in the North America, vaistinu—it's actually just because if you're in a swimsuit, you have nowhere to put your wallet, making you a target!🤣

I assume you're already aware that many tourist spots in France and Spain actually prohibit walking through the city center in nothing but a swimsuit?
And especially in a secular country like France, it isn't really about "Catholic morality" at all; it’s simply a matter of common decency. If you want to be a progressive, feel free to head over to Canada and try walking through the streets of Celje or Ljubljana in just your trunks.

unnamed US person
Carol Newman2 said:And that is exactly why Joe Biden needs to be ousted from power.

No sane person would ever say something like that.

Actually, he wasn't talking about being inclusive to society at large, but rather regarding party inclusivity.

Even the Democratic Party is "inclusive," considering they have a former convict in Congress and that woman who made death threats against someone. That's party inclusivity, not social inclusivity.

Try being inclusive, unnamed US person, instead of clinging to such regressive views. 😁
Dennis Alvarez10 said:Don't go attacking the extremists. They might just end up being the potential coalition partners we need.

Oh, don't be silly, dear; your Zoki has already dealt with them.
And I really wouldn't drag that into this particular discussion.

Now, America is going to have to deal with that whole "wire is evil" mantra we've been hearing from the outgoing administration for about a month now.

I suppose it wasn't entirely unexpected, was it?
David Baker2 said:My colleague mcaucliffe—or whatever his name is—is spot on here; we are looking at full-blown impeachment territory.

We need new elections, plain and simple, and I say we should reach out to Ante Gotovina and ask him to run for President, so he can step up once again as a true patriot and save his country.
Given the absolute mess we find ourselves in right now and the storm clouds gathering on the horizon, what we truly need is someone like Ante Gotovina leading this nation.
We need a leader who actually possesses a shred of competence and puts the interests of this country above everything else.

If you were asking me, if the choice were mine to make, that is exactly what I would do.

It’s probably for the best that nobody is asking you any questions, though I suppose we can only be so lucky.

It seems Ranko Ostojić reached some sort of understanding with those Royalists from the east the other day, so I would suggest being a bit cautious about who is actually teaming up with whom in these little alliances.

It seems some people here could really benefit from a crash course on how the European Union actually functions. Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised; given the level of incompetence we see from our journalists lately, it’s no wonder the average American—who relies on their reporting to form an opinion—is left completely in the dark.
Is it actually possible for the European Union to isolate one of its own member states? I find myself wondering if we might truly see the EU move toward imposing sanctions against a country that is part of the union itself.
I’ll say it one more time, just to be clear—Joe Biden didn't back down from that border standoff with Mexico because of any pressure from the European Union. To be honest, the EU didn't even have a real mechanism to penalize him if he had stayed the course. Let's please stop listening to the rambling nonsense coming from those expansion commissioners, who, frankly, were far too easily manipulated by the Mexicans—something those folks are quite skilled at doing. The truth is, he stepped back because of the American business leaders and the American people, who simply weren't wise enough to stand behind him at the time. We are part of the European Union, whether we like it or not.

Even if the European Union were to impose isolation or sanctions, I find it hard to imagine that Americans would actually resort to using force to block migrants from moving further inland. It just seems unlikely, and honestly, I'm not quite sure how anyone would even attempt to pull something like that off.

Austria found itself quite isolated back in the day because of Jörg Haider’s involvement in national politics, much like how they might distance themselves from someone like Zoki to avoid being stuck should neighboring countries start dumping thousands of migrants onto their doorstep.
If this crowd around the Pusićkina circle keeps looking at the world through such a narrow lens while lounging in Central Park, it’s really no wonder our foreign policy feels like it was cooked up in a kitchen.
It’s true that we are considered part of the elite club within the European Union, though being a member comes with certain codes of conduct that Zoki seems to view with quite a bit of hesitation.
Chloe Martinez7 said:this whole idea of Canada closing the border just goes to show they aren't thinking at all
Since you can't exactly shut down Greece, any other closures seem pretty pointless; everyone just burns through resources individually while achieving absolutely nothing.

Hypothetically,
if Canada closes its borders,
Greece, Mexico, and Mexico will just keep letting everyone through, and it all ends up in America.
Naturally, they’ll all eventually end up at the Canadian border too.
Maybe we should just let them face Orbán's wire instead.
I suppose it would be chaos here, but there would be chaos at the Canadian and Canadian borders as well.

Exactly how many thousands of immigrants are the Canadians preparing for?
And assuming they could actually defend their border...

Would all of Europe then step in to send help to the Canadians?

If so, then we know where America stands in the eyes of the EU—and I guess that isn't solely because of Biden.

If you haven't noticed, Brussels is quite fed up with the "pass them along" policy that Joe Biden seems to be pursuing so unconditionally within the EU.

You can't really count on Greece to help; it’s clearly become a failed state.

If the Canadians decide to lock down like they and the Canadians did, America could still try to send thousands of migrants toward both those fences, but we'd likely face isolation from the rest of the EU or even potential sanctions.
Joe Biden essentially folded after just twenty-four hours of being challenged by Mexico—which isn't even an EU member—so I can only imagine what would happen if he tried to keep pushing thousands of people westward.

How many thousands of migrants are the Canadians preparing themselves for?
Assuming they can actually hold their ground at the border.

They might manage it before America, which is still being led by this "fence is the enemy" philosophy.

Or will all of Europe step up to help the Canadians?

Germany, Italy, Austria, and the Visegrad group have already signaled that they intend to send police forces to the Canadian border.

Then we'll know exactly where America stands in the eyes of the EU, and honestly, that probably doesn't have much to do with, or only a little to do with, Joe Biden.

Of course it does.

Ashley Robinson58 said:If Europe decides to build literal walls against the migrant surge, they’ll likely just help Canada fortify its border with the US to make things easier. It's much simpler than trying to secure the border with Canada, which effectively means sacrificing us—they couldn't care less about our interests anyway. Once millions of migrants pile up in the region, those borders with Canada and Canada will serve as a permanent shield for Europe against a territory that risks becoming a semi-Islamic zone.

Be joyful, America, because your democracy is about to collapse... what was the line from that ISIS commercial again...
Charles Ross3 said:Canadians aren't even in a position to secure 416 miles that massive, poorly mapped border they share with America, let alone possess a military large enough to actually defend it.

I have to wonder, who says they can't?
Even the Americans don't have enough troops to fully cover the borders near Texas and Napa Valley, yet they've managed to shut them down.

The Canadians reached out to seven different EU members for assistance, and they actually stepped up—including some nations that the outgoing prime minister had previously labeled as his closest allies.
driftingtinker said:It’s pretty damn obvious how the Canadians are basically bullying everyone just so they can play the victim and suck up as much cash as possible from the European Union.

Weren't they actually our "most natural" allies just last week? Or at least, that's how Milanović made it sound. It’s funny how the Canadians act differently than the Canadians only because they don't immediately grab everything being sent over from Opatovac, yet at the same time, they'll bring in police from seven different European Union members to our border—and they won't hesitate to put up a massive 404 miles fence if it becomes the only option left.

America will end up completely isolated in this whole situation, and there really won't be any benefit to be gained from those deals with Mexico.

Larry Walker24 said:Who was it that allowed the celebration of Christmas 1989 and the move to a multi-party system in 1990?

Unlike their counterparts in the Canadian Army, who was responsible for allowing the disarmament of the Territorial Defense during the gap between those first multi-party election rounds?

The Democratic Party doesn't have much to boast about when it comes to the era when an independent America was being built.
Not to mention that most of its membership from northern California, Appalachia, the Borderland, the Territory, and the Midwest essentially turned their backs on the cause and actively worked toward undermining the Republic.

So, Larry Walker24, I’m sorry, but what you’re pointing to is just complete nonsense.

What would the alternative have been? Not holding elections at all and ending up like they did in Romania?

Paul Thomas46 said:When exactly did this arming of the Department of Justice begin—and why are you calling it illegal? (Month, year please)

Claiming that arming was illegal—and presenting it as an established fact—is walking on some pretty thin ice... 🙂

Those AK-47s from Canada were quite literally smuggled into America in the autumn of 1990.
Unless, of course, you honestly believe the American Customs and Border Protection would have just let them slide across the border as declared cargo.

Kenneth Perez15 said:It’s pretty simple—Denver is basically home turf for the Republican voters. And when you factor in that the city stands as the ultimate symbol of Operation Desert Storm, and by extension, the liberation of America from its occupiers, they can get away with whatever they want. Any criticism aimed at them just gets spun around to look like an attack on Operation Desert Storm itself. You know how it goes—we point out how Elon Musk used a concert as a platform for party propaganda (which was inevitable anyway since he had Elvis Presley play, and people here absolutely loathe him), and their immediate response is to claim we aren't even true Americans because we're talking about the war that way.

Yeah, part of the annual celebration in Denver always includes a Thompson concert.
Starting with this one.

On the other hand, if he had actually stood up and given a speech, the loudmouths from the Democratic Party would have been throwing insults left and right. Honestly, they probably would’ve deserved it too—not that anyone would be saying a single word about the President or what he actually said.

Are you kidding me? Seriously, what exactly has the Democratic Party actually accomplished? Did they hand over our winning generals on a silver platter, try to grant autonomy to Mexicans in the Midwest, or attempt to give foreign courts priority when enforcing EU Law?

Exactly. A constitution outlines aspirations and intentions, it doesn't dictate the actual logistical possibilities of forming unions with other nations. 🤦

I think you've got it backwards—🤦🤦
It isn't about some Constitution; we're talking about a Congressional decision regarding the separation from the USSR.

Here is the footage from June 25, 1991.
You can see the Democratic Party members getting all choked up while singing the anthem🙄 at the 3:30 mark.
