I was looking at my calendar for the upcoming week and realized how much of my free time is constantly being hijacked by "must-watch" events. It's not even about the games themselves anymore; it's the sheer mental energy required to coordinate around them.

I used to be the type to just sit on the couch and wait for something good to come on, but lately, everything seems to happen right when I'm in the middle of something else. Whether it's a mid-week matchup or a weekend tournament, it feels like the "prime time" slots are getting more crowded and harder to plan around if you actually have a life outside the screen.

It makes me wonder if we're reaching a tipping point where we'll just stop watching live stuff altogether because the friction of timing is too high. Does anyone else find themselves skipping big events just because the timing is inconvenient, or am I just getting old and losing my spontaneity?

Two at once.😲 You'll end up with enterocolitis.😁

Just kidding, though I don't think I've read anywhere that this method is actually recommended if you happen to miss a dose.🙄

Does anyone know how long it takes for your system to clear out hormones after stopping Diane-35?
I haven't really dealt much with depression personally. Lately, I figured my headaches and other issues—like blurry vision, constant thirst, occasional heart palpitations, insomnia, weakness, blood sugar crashes, confusion, memory loss, and even more intense forgetfulness, plus back, neck, and hip pain, dizziness, bloating, and mixing up words and letters—were just caused by pollen or dust allergies.

Have you seen a doctor, dustycanyon6? It’s possible you're allergic to something else, maybe even aspartame or an ingredient in those drinks, since I don't know anyone who gets those symptoms unless they drink stuff with artificial sweeteners. 😕
Anyway, there are medications specifically designed to prevent and soothe allergic reactions.
dustycanyon6 said:And against whom? Let’s look at the US, for example: the FDA (Food and Drug Administration—basically our version of the Department of Health) approved aspartame for use in diet drinks and other diet products. If diabetics wanted to sue someone, say Coca-Cola, because they put poison in Diet Coke and their other diet lines, Coca-Cola would just claim there’s no proof that aspartame is harmful. Even if it were proven, they'd argue they were just following FDA recommendations. So what then? Sue the government? I guess.

B]

Well, if there's actual evidence that aspartame is harmful, why wouldn't people sue the ones who allowed a proven toxin to be used in the first place? In America, smokers suing tobacco companies over cancer led to several big tobacco giants going bankrupt; maybe diabetics could try something similar here.
People have actually covered this topic quite a bit on here if you bother to dig through the archives, but I guess it really just comes down to personal taste.

You can also find some jokes about Lord of the Rings and a few other movies over here🙂

Laura Green8 said:That’s nonsense. I know someone who hasn't touched meat in 15 years and they're perfectly fine. They don't even use salt.

I guess you didn't actually read what I wrote? If a person isn't consuming any amino acids from animal sources at all—which is basically what defines a vegan diet—that's a different story. It doesn't matter if your friend avoids meat if they're still drinking milk or eating eggs. Also, maybe look into some research; vegetarianism can be risky if people aren't informed. 😉
I was once chatting with a well-known lady about nutrition—you know, how everything is getting so expensive and what's actually good for you, especially since so much food feels contaminated these days and all those health issues are popping up. It's the usual stuff. I mentioned to her that sticking to plant-based foods might be best for us, especially considering how the human digestive system is basically built for it.

I heard somewhere that strict vegans, the ones who avoid any animal-derived amino acids entirely, end up dying within three years, so I guess if you want to take that risk, go ahead. 😉

Maybe eating too much bacon is the issue. 😁

Come on, man, I had no idea it was that widespread. Betty Hill82, what kind of exercises are we talking about here?

Supposedly, PCOS can be linked to weight issues 🙄 my friend managed to get rid of it after losing about 18 pounds, though she was basically living on pills before that.
Diane-35 in Health ·
Maybe you'll finally figure it out once your body clears all those hormones out. You can never really tell with those pills; I have a friend who actually started lactating from her birth control. She dealt with that for a whole year, and she isn't even planning on having kids...🙄

I’ve been on them for three months now, with another three to go. I haven't dealt with any side effects, and my blood work looks fine. It might be worth getting your own labs done and checking your hormone levels. I guess it probably takes about three to six months for your body to fully clear out those synthetic hormones. 😕

I guess there’s no real need to panic just yet. Get a CBC done, and if the platelet count and clotting time look fine, then what's the big deal? From what I can see, out of 75,000 women, only 26 who were on the pill developed thrombosis. That doesn't seem like much to me; it seems obvious that birth control isn't the only thing causing these issues. 🙄

I lose weight every single time, my period cramps just vanish, and I don't have issues with body hair or anything. It's great... but for the last six months, I've been dealing with leg swelling. Specifically—my right calf. By the end of the day, it can look twice as big as the other one. And it hurts like hell... Damn!

electricdriver78, thanks for letting me know!

And my doctor is going to get a piece of my mind, the jerk! I asked him five different times if it was from the pills. "Nooo... it's just stress!" he says. What an idiot!
😠 😠

I guess you can only really know for sure if all your lab results come back normal. 🙄

And here we go. Since they're on hormone pills, I guess taking an aspirin might actually make sense, given it acts as a platelet aggregation inhibitor—basically reducing blood clots. I suppose if a woman is healthy and hasn't been on Diane for too long, there probably shouldn't be any issues.
Sauna etiquette and tips in Health ·
So, why did I even start this thread about the sauna? I’ve been dealing with this endless cold for two months now—just when I think I'm finally over it, the congestion and sinus issues come right back. It’s constant. When it flared up again last week, I remembered how I used to stay healthy all winter a few years ago just by hitting the sauna regularly. So, despite everyone around me telling me not to, I decided to head to the sauna while I was still sick. I figured if the sauna couldn't fix me, nothing would, so I might as well go try to sweat it out. That night, I could actually breathe through my nose again. Sure, the next three days were pretty rough, but by the fourth day, I felt better. I've felt "okay" for the last three days, though I haven't really left the house. Now I'm sitting here wondering if I should just go back to the sauna to finish the job. I guess some people might see this as being reckless or something, but for me, it's purely practical. I'm definitely not recommending these kinds of experiments to anyone else—I'm doing this at my own risk—but honestly, this cold is driving me insane...🙄
