Kyle Nelson2 said:the guy is only addicted because he’s trying to tune out everything else by throwing monkeys at a wall in some basement library...

>The guy's just bored... find him a hobby. Send him on a month-long retreat in the Rockies without his usual distractions... he'll probably stop doing it once you get back.

Idle hands make for bad habits, and bad habits turn into addictions.😁

Kyle Nelson2 said:in principle, it isn't the massive issue you women (especially youuuuuuu) think it is.

But it really isn't the big deal you ladies make it out to be.

That's fair.

I don't think any girl on this forum actually thinks watching porn is shameful or sick. I certainly don't.

It all comes down to context and frequency.

That's why this thread exists, right? To trade perspectives. Just as we shouldn't ignore how women sometimes blow things out of proportion, we shouldn't ignore why it bothers them in the first place.

Besides, if I recall correctly, John Price mentioned that whenever there's a chance to take advantage of it—like hitting up a public library—he'll wander through parks or hang out by cars just to catch a glimpse of someone's body. He spends hours staring at porn every single day; when he had internet in his room, that was basically his full-time job... You really don't think that's a porn addiction, briskjackal5?

Give me a break..

Look, we all know guys masturbate. We know they do it even when they're in relationships, and yeah, they'll take any visual opportunity to check out a girl's chest or ass. That’s totally normal and fine. But every single damn day for several hours?

That has nothing to do with sex. None.
It's pure mental sex.

Because—and this is just my take—that's when you can play out every fantasy in your head that you'd probably never actually try in real life (which is probably for the best 😁). You can build whatever scenarios you want in your mind, whereas with a partner, there's always that nagging thought: "Wait, what will they think if I yell this, or want that, or try to stage this specific situation? Will they think I'm a freak?"

And that's why masturbation exists: so you can do in your imagination what you'd never do in person (since you know it's all make-believe and anything goes), and the release takes away all that tension.

But when it becomes an absolute necessity and a multi-hour daily obsession—when being online is your only association with getting off—well, sorry... you can't call that "normal behavior."

It's just a matter of time before John Price starts feeling like sex with her is just something he "gets through" because they happen to be together, while the actual pleasure is found exclusively in porn. 😁

What is that actually supposed to mean? Are you going to be the one to decide when his limit is?

My take? If it isn't hurting him, and it isn't hurting her—meaning she’s perfectly fine with it—then everything is fine. Leave them alone.😁

No. What that means is that if someone actually pointed out that spending hours every single day on porn sites is an addiction, he'd come up with every excuse under the sun to justify it. He'd probably break out in hives at the mere mention of the word "addiction."😬

And clearly, things aren't "fine" if a woman feels the need to start a thread about it... right?🙄

briskjackal5, are you venting to make a point or just to feel better? 😬

Look, here’s the reality: the guy is an addict, regardless of what anyone else says about it.

In this specific case, we’re talking about porn addiction.

Addiction manifests quite simply: every single time he touches a computer, he ends up on porn sites. 😁

Sure, guys tend to have a higher interest in porn than most girls, which isn't exactly shocking or "abnormal" 🙄 , but when it turns into daily hacking sessions lasting hours, or when he can't even open a browser without landing on, say, www.pornsite.com or something similar, then we aren't talking about "sexual freedom" or "libido." We're talking about an addiction.

Alright, let's assume at least your sex life isn't suffering because of it:

It would be much worse if you were lacking intimacy in bed while he spends every day scrolling through porn. Regardless of ego, women don't exactly enjoy it when their partner is constantly preoccupied with videos while they lie there feeling neglected and undesirable. It makes them feel small.

The second thing is that this truly HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. It's exactly what he told you: it's his imagination and his way of "unwinding." 😁

But no, he is definitely addicted. Every addiction is defined by a chronic, repetitive return to a source of pleasure, and he clearly has a constant need to visit those sites for the physiological hit he gets from the combination of watching and masturbating.

The only question left is what's driving it.

So, bottom line: men certainly engage with porn far more intensely than most women, who often prefer doing it together and rarely need visual stimulation—just some privacy and maybe a toy.

But staying up until sunrise staring at a screen, being unable to resist clicking on porn sites the moment you go online, and spending every day watching or downloading clips? I don't think anyone could convince me that isn't a form of addiction.

If this bothers you, do something about it, no matter how much people chatter in the background. Just don't lower your standards 🙄 because someone is calling you intolerant or whatever. The fact remains: his addiction BOTHERS you, you are sexually open, and your partner is an addict.

The truth is, you can't do anything until he realizes he has a problem—if he ever does. To him, this is perfectly normal, and you're just being "clueless" because you don't see it his way.

Because once things start failing in the bedroom while his virtual activity stays at full throttle, that's when the real hell begins. 😉

What we saw on the field yesterday was actually pretty normal: just some casual chatter between the American and Mexican handball players, a few hugs, some mutual congratulations, and a fair game from both sides. The guys showed us what happens when you finally push nationalism and politics out of sports.

Schultze Gets The blues in Movies ·
It’s a beautiful little story about ordinary people. Schultze is a miner who retires alongside two close friends. Suddenly finding himself with all this "extra time," he realizes that even in the twilight of his life, he can still do something extraordinary—something that breaks away from the predictable routine he’s lived in his tight-knit community. His life used to be nothing more than work, grabbing beers at the local pub, tending the garden, and playing the accordion in honor of his father. The whole narrative is subtle, filled with side characters who quietly nudge him toward the "last adventure of his life": the search for the Cajuns and their unique musical soul.

He gets indirect encouragement from an older woman, a bit of a heavy drinker who has seen the world, and a young girl dreaming of dancing flamenco in Spain.

In the end, Schultze finds exactly what he was looking for, reminding us all that you're never too old to chase a dream.

It’s a melancholy, subtle film with hints of black humor that actually moved me to tears by the end.

Definitely worth a watch! 🙂

Exactly. Karen Sanchez19 was waiting for us, and redrider63 was waiting for us. Since being "upside down" signifies a dream, we were all simply dreaming of the wait.😬😳

And how are you supposed to know when to hold off versus when to act, especially when you're dealing with things completely out of your control?

Did I make my point a little clearer that time? 😉

When it feels like time to wait, wait. When it feels like time to act, act.👍

Sandra King86 said:P.S. I asked a family psychologist if it was actually possible for people to treat patients this way in facilities meant to help them. Her response?

"That’s science fiction—at least in the West. This didn't even happen back in the Freudian era." 😁
I think she mentioned the 1970s were the major turning point for ethical standards in mental health care.

🤣 🤣 🤣

He really played you, and you actually believed him! 😲

I know from firsthand experience that even today, right here in America, they perform experiments on psychiatric patients that make what we saw in this movie look like "light therapy." 😁

But then again, who wouldn't want to be more powerful than a symbol? 😍😂

The real delusion belongs to those who don't realize a symbol is completely powerless without people to believe in it. 😬
