I didn't realize. The people I hang out with seem to have some serious issues defining their own gender. Until I can clearly identify someone as male, I’m just not buying into this whole Inquisition nonsense.
Honestly, isn't it common knowledge that every single one of them is a witch? So, it’s either the stake or the kitchen sink—there really isn't a third option.
A constructive question, if you can call it that. But honestly, putting together a proper response takes an exhausting amount of effort—it’s a real grind. I’ll give it a shot, though. And I certainly hope others do too. To start things off... you tend to lean on the things that are familiar, the people you actually know. Real, flesh-and-blood stuff. Friends, family, even the pets... (well, livestock😁 ...I had to include that). As for me, my first move every morning—once I’ve finally slept, finished dreaming, and washed my face... is to brew some coffee. Just to get the ball rolling... that's plenty for now.😉
Bradley Fisher20 said:Alright, you jokers. Is all you care about just messing around?🙂
Look, that’s not okay. Because honestly, we can't really do anything more productive than this right now anyway 🙂.
So, what *can* we actually do? One idea rattling around in my brain is finding a way to establish feedback—something that tells us when we're actually losing it. It’s obvious that "gut feeling" isn't something we can rely on—since a gut feeling can feel perfectly fine even when reality is falling apart.
What I'm thinking of—as a sort of North Star for this whole mess—are techniques used in lucid dreaming, where you perform a reality check to figure out if you're still asleep.
Because in a dream, even though most things look identical to real life, certain things just don't work. To figure out which rules hold up and which ones break, the most effective thing to do is what?
Keeping a journal, logging entries, stuff like that. BTW, is there anyone among you proven crazy people willing to actually do something like that? Because if we could build a solid database, maybe we could identify those seemingly hidden patterns that would help us spot our own state of mind.
From what I've noticed, the most critical issue is how much damage those subtle allusions and the noise created by forcing them can do to your health and schizophrenia. We have to get rid of those allusions as quickly as possible.
Only once we have a method to tell us whether we've fallen for the movie or not can we start some actual, high-quality cleaning. Until then, I find it hard to imagine any progress.
I'm looking for comments from my fellow crazies. 🙂
Raymond Allen said:I see you guys have been tagging me in quite a few things lately, so I figured I’d just step in and ask: It’s someone close to me—someone who, for a fleeting moment, actually realizes they have an issue, but then spends the vast majority of their time completely oblivious to it. To make matters worse, they’re absolutely destroying themselves with alcohol while insisting they have total control over it. They claim they aren't addicted, and their "smoking gun" argument? That they perform flawlessly at work. As if being a high achiever at the office somehow negates the fact that they're spiraling. It’s exhausting. Pure bipolarity—swinging from absolute euphoria to total pessimism—and those "conspiracy theories" only separate him for a split second. He’s flat-out refusing to see doctors or follow any kind of treatment plan—and honestly, nobody in his inner circle thinks it’s even that weird. To everyone around him, he just comes across as some sort of "eccentric, happy-go-lucky guy." They aren't seeing the red flags at all. What can I even do to help him???
The infamous "case." In my experience—and I say this after dealing with plenty of nonsense—it really comes down to what you've actually lived through. Look, I’ll say it plainly: conspiracy theories simply don't exist. People love to obsess over shadows and hidden agendas—it’s practically a national pastime here in the States—but let's be real for a second. What people call "conspiracy theories" are usually just a desperate attempt to find patterns in pure, unadulterated chaos. It's much easier to believe there's some shadowy cabal pulling all the strings than to accept the terrifying reality that nobody is actually in control. It’s psychological comfort masquerading as deep insight, and frankly, it's exhausting to listen to.😉
First things first—forget about all those clinical definitions and diagnoses for a second. I’m going to try to lay out a rough framework here... Schizophrenia is essentially a state of the spirit. The mind and the body are inextricably linked—you can't separate them. Whatever nourishes the spirit also serves as fuel for the body. And whatever feeds the body acts as sustenance for the spirit. Now, try to look back at everything we’ve posted on this Reddit thread... all that stuff about healthy living and whatnot. Just wipe the slate clean. Moving on Man is an animal. But man is also distinct from animals. The difference lies in the fact that humans have control over their own reactions. Humans experience fear... just like animals do. Yet, the human brain is far more sophisticated than an animal's. Humans possess the ability to control that fear. Next step Humans have choice. Think back to what we were rambling about regarding freedom over on the Philosophy board. Forget everything we wrote about freedom on philosophy. Further still The human brain is a complete mystery. The human brain stays active even while you sleep. The human brain dreams when it sleeps. The human brain dreams even when you can't recall those dreams. The human brain forgets and... The human brain remembers. 😉
Alright, let’s get this show on the road—I think we’ve chatted enough already to break the ice.😉 My name is M (you know what to do... just say "Hi M" and give me a round of applause when I'm done... like in those classic American movies😁). I'm 25 years old (😁) and I live with my two brothers, my mom, my dad, my dog (😁), and honestly? By any medical definition, almost all of us are... well, a little "off." I also have a cat, a dog, an orange tree, a tangerine tree (which, by the way, grows right next to the orange tree in front of the house—they basically take turns fruiting), AND A WHOLE BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF (those last few were just random thoughts flying out, I won't go on about them... here😁) Everything I've just typed is just words... nothing more, nothing less (you know that song "Love is..."😉)... but they could actually mean something—I truly believe that. That's why I'm writing. To kick things off, let's start with this much, and then we'll move forward.... 😎
Bradley Fisher20 said:Personally, I’m not a huge fan of opening up topics like this on a public forum. A more private setting usually works better for deep dives and getting everyone involved in the project truly engaged.
Anyway, I think that by connecting online—which basically lets us bypass any distance or scheduling issues—it should be pretty easy to set up a high-quality communication channel.
What’s your take on that? On all of this, really.
Yeah... too much outside noise bleeding in, and it just messes with the workflow. How exactly were you thinking we could handle that "private atmosphere" thing? And is being interested enough? I mean, who exactly are these "individuals" we're talking about?
p.s. (just for Bradley Fisher20) "anywhere... everywhere."😉
I’m definitely in the mood for some "Fight Club" vibes this morning. Well... I didn't exactly get enough sleep last night... if you want to call it that... I’m suggesting we start a dedicated thread over in the Health section specifically for those of us who can't catch any shut-eye.😁 (Please, please don't ban me!) We could actually dive into some of those intense ideas from the movie. And hey, maybe we can even spark some good😁 well, let's call it "inspiration"😁 ideas... hold on... give me a second... I gotta...
Shall we give this a shot? Everything is just so much broader, wider... when you talk about health and schizophrenia, there's sooooo much more to it than people realize... let's start tying all these loose ends together—it’s high time... for a new era.
I'm definitely interested, I'll be one of them...😉
Look, I’m really not one for getting bogged down in technical definitions—it’s just not my thing—and I honestly don't have much to add to the conversation right now, but you’ve definitely piqued my interest. If you could, would you mind walking me through the details? Like, what exactly are we looking at here, and how does it actually play out in practice...?
I hear where you're coming from, restlessmarlin6, but honestly, I asked that question mostly because of you—wouldn't it be better if you just went back to square one?😉 Your wording is perfectly fine; there aren't really "good" or "bad" ways to say things, so let's just keep it chill... I wasn't suggesting that drugs are the answer, per se, but I definitely got the impression that the insights you're starting to uncover are being fueled by substance use. All in all, just go back and read my very first post on this topic. Look, good things are happening to you. You've actually started asking yourself some real, meaningful questions, but when a young person hits this stage of life, it’s so easy to slip—to completely lose your footing. I can see that you're essentially just beginning to discover who you truly are. You're at the very starting line, and that is easily the most vulnerable stage of the whole process. Of course, your dreams aren't meaningless, but don't expect solutions to just fall into your lap. Listen to yourself and follow that gut feeling. Half the time you won't even recognize it, but over time, you can learn how to tune in. That’s the actual work. There is no "truth" about you existing anywhere outside of yourself. So, when you feel like you're losing your grip... step back and return to the beginning. Start with the first question. Eventually, the answers will start to surface. 🙂
From your perspective, it sounds like this whole thing kicked off because of drug use.
...that sense of epiphany...
So, what you're saying is you had these "insights"—you stumbled upon some ultimate truth during those trips. You experienced a feeling—to use your own words. If I'm following your logic correctly, that specific feeling is your starting point. But here’s the catch: that sensation is nothing more than a subtle trick being played on your mind. That is where the danger lies.
...insisting on a constant state of epiphany when that's just fundamentally unnatural...
And honestly, I find myself asking again... what is it you actually want?
Paranoia in Las Vegas. Dumbo (David Lynch) Mulholland Drive — man, where do I even start? It’s one of those films that just refuses to let go of you once the credits roll. You sit there staring at the screen, trying to piece together the fractured reality, wondering if you actually witnessed a coherent story or just a beautiful, neon-soaked fever dream. It’s pure David Lynch, through and through—unsettling, gorgeous, and completely unapologetic about leaving you hanging. Honestly, I spent half the runtime trying to rationalize what was happening, only to realize that logic is the last thing this movie wants from you. It’s more about the feeling, the dread, and that sheer sense of disorientation. Just brilliant. Eyes Wide Shut Those old-school cleaning heads—honestly, they feel like something straight out of an ancient David Lynch film. Oh, and Natalie— Well... existence. Uh... yeah, *Excalibur*—I can't quite wrap my head around the director's name right now. Hmm... Dr. Strangelove. Oh, believe me, they are everywhere—absolutely everywhere. From the works of Robert Altman to that whole Woody Allen era... it just doesn't end. Look, when you walk into a video rental store—and I’m talking about those old-school places that actually carry a decent selection—don't just wander aimlessly through the aisles. It’s a waste of time. Walk straight up to the counter and ask for the catalog. Seriously. Start browsing by director... or, if you’re feeling particularly uninspired, go by the actors. I know, I know—searching by cast is a bit lazy and doesn't tell you much about the actual soul of the movie—but hey, it’s a starting point when you're stuck. Most of these places can't even categorize their films by genre correctly anyway, so trying to find a "thriller" or a "comedy" is often a total shot in the dark. Just follow the talent and hope for the best. I honestly can't tell if they actually bother making catalogs based on festival wins over where you guys are—it’s such a useful metric, isn't it? I mean, you generally have a pretty solid idea of what kind of caliber a specific festival holds, which can really help guide your choices... just a thought.
Unfortunately, I’m not exactly some enlightened being living in a state of constant higher consciousness...
So, what exactly do you mean by higher consciousness? To me, it sounds like you're talking about expanding awareness. What is it that you're actually looking for? Look, drugs stimulate consciousness in all sorts of ways—they trigger different states entirely. And exercises work the same way. But the point isn't just "doing the exercise." Exercise is about discipline, plain and simple. The goal... what are you even trying to achieve for yourself? And let's be real, even spiritual practices can be dangerous if you aren't careful. Just try to actually be fascinated by life—try to find your place within it. If you do that, things will fall into place. It doesn't matter when, but it takes time. You can't rush it. That's what real life is about. By the way, I haven't met anyone like that either, so don't beat yourself up over it... 😉 🙂
