I was just about to say... give me one or two McLarens and put Di Resta in third. image

Hard to see them taking one or two... but hey, nothing's impossible.
If you look back at last year's standings, McLaren's number one driver and Sergio Perez were sitting right there in the top two spots.🤣

Alright, I’ll probably end up surprising you guys this time 😬

I'm calling it now: Jenson Button on the podium... maybe even taking the top spot 😁

darkmarlin16 said:So, I mean, are we talking like, two or three thousand bucks should be set aside if you're planning to make the trip out to Indianapolis?

Honestly, looking at beer prices over there, I highly doubt that’d even cover my coffee and Beer, let alone anything else.😬

You should've been there to comfort Tibi. 😍 You should've just stayed home and grabbed a beer. 😍

Yeah, I'm Jožek alright... of course I was comforting him.😁

He was basically the last defender left on this forum, and now even he's gone...☕
The dam has finally burst, and that's it. All in all, just one of those pricey shots...

The photo itself isn't actually bad, but I was out at the pub today with this massive die-hard Reds fan...😍
But damn, I haven't lived until I've heard someone ramble on about Lojzek and his "glory days." She just kept mourning how things used to be...

So you seriously posted a photo from Valencia on a thread about Indianapolis???
Good grief, putting those two tracks in the same sentence is basically sacrilege.😳
Shame on you for the next 100 years.😳

🤣I can't even begin to process that. What was that supposed to be? Give me something actual to work with.🤣
Good grief, look at all those candles🤣 popping up like ads on a podium.🙏🤣

FOM seriously needs to install AdBlock ASAP🤣.🤣🤣
They actually did a decent job editing the footage though—managed to make the activists and their whole scene practically invisible in the broadcast...

Edit:
Man, they were persistent with that one🙄.
analogpilot16 said:No way—prestige would have caught up to him sooner or later. Honestly, Lewis was just a hair slower than him today; otherwise, he probably would have kept pace right up until Sebastian overtook him. To top it off, Lewis mentioned over the radio that he was pulling everything the car had, while Seb was just steadily gaining ground, inch by inch. Maybe if we'd seen a little more rain...

Which brings us to this...
Red Bull looked like maybe their worst ever in dirty air during this race. 😉
Maybe it was just Mark Webber's setup, but he literally stood zero chance against Mercedes. 😳

I was watching the live timing, and things got weird. Webber was actually faster through S1 and S3 than Mercedes—he was cutting roughly a second per lap there. But the second he closed the gap, he started losing over a second in S2. For some reason, he just couldn't hang with Mercedes through that second sector, which basically defined his whole race...

So, it's a massive question mark whether Vettel could have even managed it if he'd stayed behind Lewis.🤷
Drew Bennett68 said:Ferrari looked solid once again; I suppose they actually managed to find some meaningful upgrades during this break.

Maybe, or maybe it's just the track...
We'll see how things look after Monza.

Spa and Monza usually suit Ferrari way better than Red Bull, so seeing Red Bull struggle even a little here feels weird...
If they get beat at Monza too, then it's basically over for Ferrari—especially since the tracks that actually favor Red Bull are just around the corner.😍

Even though Mercedes keeps looking better and better, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they end up being the class of the field by the end of the season.
And they'll definitely be fighting for the top spot right from the jump next year.😳
That crew is moving fast.👍
analogpilot16 said:A pretty dull race—congrats to a bored Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso. It seems like it all came down to how Ferrari set up their car for dry conditions; otherwise, I just can't wrap my head around why they were struggling so much one weekend and then suddenly matching Vettel's pace today. I suspect they just got lucky with the setup.
As a Lewis Hamilton fan, I’m happy with what I saw—Lewis is still in top form and isn't spiraling, so I truly believe the championship is far from decided. If it isn't him, anyone can take it—just as long as it isn't Vettel. Maybe even Alonso 😁 I don't have anything against Seb, but man, if I had a Red Bull this good, I'd be winning too. You can tell that the moment he realizes he doesn't have a dominant car to pull a 20-second lead, he'd probably just burst into tears.

It’s funny how people make comments like that about the car that absolutely crushed the 2011 season...
Basically a powerhouse similar to the Mercedes 2013 season. 😬

By the way, Hamilton was the first driver after Vettel to snag four championships in a row, and the first Brit since Damon Hill...

And it's pretty hilarious that a car which took 8 out of 11 championships this season—and 8 of the last 9 races—isn't "good enough" to beat a Red Bull that you think you could drive better than...

As for the season, nothing's decided yet. Hamilton is very much still in the hunt.
This probably cost Kimi his shot at fighting for it, and if Alonso finally starts showing up in qualifying like he should, who knows? Maybe he's got a chance too...
Funny watching the BBC gridwalk, where Pat Fry is actually claiming Ferrari was good enough for a front-row start in qualifying...
Lojze is going to lose it when he hears that. Pat might actually get his fingers bitten off.🤣

The stupid server won't let me use more than 10 emojis per post.🙂
And hey, yours was the first one I had to delete... sorry.🙂
Clear eyes behind some questionable glasses😁

Here I am.🤣

Patrick Bailey4 said:Feel free to talk trash about whoever you want when he's out there straight up slapping six different drivers in just five laps.

Messing around with cars on the starting grid and messing around in the DRS zone.🤣

Total chaos at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
2011
2012

And that's how it goes. It’s been a while since things actually felt real.😍

The only real overtake of Alonso's worth seeing on track is... This is it. And that’s what happens when you mess up a start like Webber did. Another disaster.🤦
Everything else is just fake. It’s literally nothing but Ferrari's raw speed at the start and their advantage in the DRS zone.

darkmarlin16 said:Now we're all just sitting here, twiddling our thumbs, waiting for TBF to roll up and confidently declare that 🤣fetl
was actually the driver of the race. 😂

The race winner? I mean, obviously. That's common sense.😍

It definitely wasn't Alonso. Long before him, it would've been Ricciardo or Button. ☕
Honestly, I’ve never been impressed by these mediocre drivers. If you can't qualify better than fifth on a car that's capable of grabbing pole, don't expect me to care.🤣

Man, Ljubimac still hasn't managed to snag a win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but hey, at least he’s finally closing the gap on Massa in the standings.😁

http://www.statsf1.com/en/felipe-massa/palmares.aspx

Who knows? Maybe one day someone actually tops his stats.🤣
A heartbreaking Monza😁
Back where it all began, just waiting on that 32nd win and the 4th title😍
darkmarlin16 said:He hasn't won there in Formula 1, but saying he HAS NO WINS at all is just straight-up wrong. ☕

🤣🤣🤣
Wow, so I guess Van der Grade snagged a win at Spa too? Not sure how that even relates to Formula 1. 🤣
And who knows, maybe Chilton won his little bike race around the track one time. 😂

Funny enough, apparently Sebastian Vettel didn't have three wins at Daytona International Speedway before this season, even though he's had plenty of them...
Jason Campbell70 said:Don't you think this would have happened sooner if the track temperature had been about ten degrees higher?

Not if there's still a massive amount of standing water on the asphalt...
Temperature doesn't mean much then. At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, they usually find a dry line fast enough to run on slicks without any drama.
Jason Campbell70 said:But what was the track actually like? Was it dry?

Dry enough for slicks, which is all that matters.☕
Jason Campbell70 said:By that logic, places like Malaysia or even Australia would just stay soaked forever every time it rained. 😵

When track and air temperatures are low—especially when you throw high humidity into the mix—the surface is going to take its sweet time drying out. Regardless of any hills or inclines.

If Indianapolis Motor Speedway had hit crazy highs like 70 degrees yesterday,😁
then the backmarkers would've been out on slicks in Q2 just minutes after the rain stopped. I mean, ten minutes later, everyone was already out there running on slicks in Q2...

But sure, let's just blame it on those extreme 70-degree track temperatures.😁
