rapidtinker45 said:And please, the FIA doesn't hate Lewis Hamilton... honestly, there is nothing the FIA would love more than seeing him clinch a title. A Black champion, on top of being British? That's basically like hitting a hundred consecutive jackpots in the Powerball. It'd be a gold mine.

Look, the FIA lives for drama. That's the whole point. No matter how much I personally couldn't stand Michael Schumacher, they screwed him and Ferrari over with endless rule changes and total nonsense just to keep things interesting. This stuff with Lewis Hamilton is the exact same playbook for the exact same reason. 🙂

I'm just sitting here waiting for the day they decide to ban everyone from using Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, or BMW engines altogether. 😵

I don't even know what to tell you guys. I'm a Ferrari fan, but honestly, a two-place penalty might be a bit light.

My only regret? Why didn't Kimi just dive in and knock him right off the track? He was being so slippery. Did you see that part of the race he mentioned during the press conference? The way he was just laughing... 🤷

🤣🤣🤣 Honestly, if nothing else, this makes me happy. Maxym got a 3-day ban. 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome back, Maniac. 👍

Daniel Cooper40 said:Yeah, and that same "max" snatched the title from Schumacher by hitting him with a penalty during qualifying at Monte Carlo...

It’s not even about who gets hit or when. The point is that these penalties and rules are just idiotic.

Using a crane to pull Hamilton out? Idiotic.
Stewards pushing Hamilton's car? Idiotic.
Today's penalty? Idiotic.
Alonso's penalty after the Canadian GP last year? Idiotic.

Go read the rulebook.

Can someone please just drop a link to that rule?☕

Of course they filed an appeal! I mean, come on, would you have just let it slide?

Honestly, they’d have had a better shot if they’d appealed to Ferrari and Montezemolo instead.☕

Kimi Raikkonen said:Raikkonen: It was win or bust for me.

Kimi Raikkonen made it clear that taking second place at the US Grand Prix wasn't even an option. It was either victory or nothing, he claims.

To the absolute heartbreak of Ferrari fans, this is what actually happened: Finac spun out at the bus stop chicane on the penultimate lap.

"I was ready to win or lose, but unfortunately, I went off," Raikkonen said after the race. "I just wanted to win. I got carried away in that fast left-hander. I tried to get back on track and control the car, but I spun out," he added.

"I needed the points, which is why it was win or bust, but I went off. Sadly... I didn't want to settle for second and lose points. We'll see what we can do moving forward."🤣🤣🤣

Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton traded paint a few times while fighting for position, and one specific incident ended up before the stewards.

It involves Hamilton cutting the chicane after contact with Raikkonen. Even though he missed the corner, by gaining an unfair advantage through unsportsmanlike maneuvering, Hamilton kept his momentum and overtook Raikkonen on the very next turn.
Raikkonen himself declined to comment on the incident.

"There are rules about cutting chicanes and gaining an advantage. The FIA is reviewing it now, so I have nothing to say."

With a massive 23-point gap now sitting between him and Hamilton in the standings, Raikkonen announced his only goal for the rest of the season is to take wins.
"It’s not up to me whether Massa wins or not. I’ll just do my best and we'll see where things stand. I'm going to try to win, and we'll see about the rest."

As for "the rest," Ferrari management will likely be dealing with it next week. Despite intense pressure from big-name sponsors demanding Raikkonen stay at the top, rumors about installing Massa as the lead driver at Scuderia Ferrari are starting to gain some serious traction.

Anyway, let's see what they actually do next.😂😂😂

Kimi might have gotten a little ahead of himself there.🤣🤣🤣

Sam Roberts said:He’d be better off leaving him a hair of space and just saying, "Yeah, I missed him," and then let an infrared camera settle the debate.

Give me a break. If Lewis Hamilton was on Kimi's left side 😉and he passed him on the right 😉,then either he was behind him the whole time, or he's a ghost passing straight through the car.🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂

Timothy Lee11 said:Take a closer look at who enters the chicane first—it's Kimi
And since there isn't anyone on Kimi's shoulder, he's the one picking the line.
If this were a track like Monaco, Hamilton would've just cut the corner or hit the wall
to shave off time right behind Kimi... just plain stupid.
...but the kid is sitting there smirking at the press conference like he just won the lottery... he's pretty slimy.

Yeah, Ligav is slimy too, but what does that have to do with anything?🤷

If this were a track like Monaco, where Hamilton would have just cut the corner or slammed into the wall to get ahead of Kimi...
cutting the track just to jump him? It's ridiculous.
And the kid is just sitting there smirking at the press conference like he's heard a joke. He's pretty slimy.

I don't get it, and you can kill me for saying it. Is there actually a rule saying you have to let him pass if you cut the corner? Did Hamilton really need to let Kimi go? Does the rulebook say he has to give him space by one meter, a hundred meters, or an entire mile?☕

The penalty is just plain stupid.☕

rustystag7 said:All this talk about Massa, "Massa did this," "Massa did that"—we’ve been hearing it for half the season and you guys haven't nailed a single prediction...
The fact is, based on current results, Massa is one of the best drivers this season—actually, he's the best driver out there right now...

I won't get into the "what ifs," but today he would be leading the championship if that accident hadn't hit him two laps before the end...

And forget that nonsense about Kubica, Vettel, and Kim; that's just playground chatter...

Arguments should be based on facts, not what you wish happened this season.😉

🙄 You call that an accident?🤣 It was more like Ferrari cranked up the engines (even though they aren't supposed to admit it) and suddenly they were faster than everyone else. Problem was, their engines kept blowing up before they could actually finish races.😉-☕
Now they're back to their old selves and look at that—McLaren is actually faster than them.☕

The real tragedy is watching Fernando Alonso fight in a car that's 25 HP down; he doesn't stand a chance at a podium.☕And he's a way better driver than most of the guys ahead of him.☕
F1 Belgian GP - Spa-Francorchamps in Formula 1 ·
Personally, I’ve always had a soft spot for Kimi as a driver. As for Massa, I wouldn't call him world-class, but he isn't a jerk either—just a totally average guy. I don't exactly love Hamilton, but honestly, the way the FIA is acting and how much Max is running the show just makes me sick :blak: Sometimes I felt like Senna was my 👍 before he moved over to Ferrari👎, but now I feel like I might end up hating both Kimi and Massa too. I really feel for Kimi, though; it would be such a shame if he ends up a champion this year just because of all this 🙂

Taylor Thompson9 said:Formula 1 died today. This is the last race I'm ever watching, and I've been a fan since 1981.
Nobody else can bribe people or screw everyone over quite like the Italians can. In any sport, they’re in a league of their own when it comes to shady business.

That’s exactly 🙂 what I mean. What's even the point anymore? Watching this championship fight is just pointless at this stage.🤣 It’s honestly ridiculous. Why doesn't Max just hand Ferrari the Ferrari Trophy for the constructors' title and the drivers' title right at the start of the season? Let Ferrari decide who wins it this year, then they can stop messing around and we can actually watch a battle for third place. At least that would be entertaining. If Ferrari feels like showing up, fine. If not, whatever.☕ As long as they claim both titles at the very beginning of every year, it doesn't matter.🙄

Edward Howard2 said:That wasn't a fair miss, and I’m hoping the FIA actually makes the right call on this one.☕

As for the whole "fanboy" thing... you should've realized by now I don't root for Lewis Hamilton, Mass, or Kimi Räikkönen. I can look at this objectively, unlike you, so spare me the "biased fan" nonsense. It doesn't fly here.😛

If we're talking about being fair and neutral, then Kimi Räikkönen needs to be penalized. Lewis Hamilton was ahead, and he shoved him off the track. Honestly, what happens after that shouldn't even matter. If we want actual justice, Kimi Räikkönen should be getting a drive-through penalty.☕

rustystag7 said:Felipe Massa looked like a total disaster today, but whatever. We’re looking at the whole season, right? Or are we just obsessing over today's race?😕....

I'm with you on the tire situation. There's no way that thing popped just from an impact. It was something else.

By the end of the season—yeah, exactly—Felipe Massa is going to finish 4th.😉 He'll be trailing Kimi Räikkönen, Robert Kubica, and Lewis Hamilton. Who finishes where? God only knows. But as for seeing Massa as the Championship Leader or even a top guy at Ferrari? Forget about it.☕

rustystag7 said:Kimi’s only shot at a title this season is on a PlayStation, because that's it...
He hasn't shown even a hint of being able to catch Lewis Hamilton lately...

Austin just suited him, so I wouldn't say today proves he's actually back in the mix.🤷

Don't even start with me—you aren't seriously telling me Charles Leclerc looked like a better driver than Kimi today, right?🙄 And honestly, I don't think Kimi crashed out due to his own mistake; he had a puncture during that contact with Lewis Hamilton. You could tell the rear right was totally flat when he hit the wall.🤷

What do you guys think? Which Ferrari is going to tank today? 😬

I’d bet on neither. 😁 Honestly, I think they’ll both end up face-down in the grass. 🤣

I have a gut feeling Robert Kubica is going to overtake Kimi Räikkönen in the standings today, putting him just one point behind Felipe Massa and seven points back from Lewis Hamilton. ☕

STR😢 is such a waste. If they’d put Sebastian Vettel on Intermediates, he definitely would've taken the win😢. Honestly, even like this, they were looking at a 3rd and 4th place finish😢. They could have even jumped RB in the standings😢. But hey, even with this haul of points, it makes me think they should just declare STR the top team👍 with their superior drivers, and leave RB as the second best😢 squad
