Might actually start watching Formula E 😁
Honestly, it’s a pretty genius move switching to live FTA starting next season—and specifically on NBC at that 🙏

This could seriously be the thing that finally blows up their popularity 👍

Dealing with annoying ads and pop-ups in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Aaron Harris2 said:You can also download AdBlock for your computer.

If you would simply dedicate three minutes of your time to this, you would find that these frustrations vanish entirely.
It is a worthwhile endeavor for everyone involved. Please, take some initiative and help yourselves if there is no other way to resolve this. After all, this Reddit community must be funded by something, regardless of the circumstances.

If he could actually get paid to market an adblocker, he'd be swimming in cash. 😬

Seriously, the current marketing strategy is brainless. Running ads this aggressive just forces everyone to install an adblocker immediately. It's pure madness because, at the end of the day, those ads are useless since practically nobody even sees them...
The only way this makes sense is if he got a kickback for every single adblock installation. He'd be a billionaire if he got a dollar for every person using his "marketing" to install an adblocker. 😁

Try logging out and clearing your cookies in Firefox or whatever browser you're running...
Then log back in and try sending that PM again...

Also, what does it say on the far left under "options"? And is the site showing up in English or American for you?
I know mine occasionally glitches over to English, and then the characters just turn into total gibberish...
But whenever I log out and wipe my cookies, it snaps back to American and everything works fine again...

Don't just click reply...
Start a new message, type in the exact username you’re aiming for, wait until that specific name pops up in the dropdown menu, and then select it...

If you're really determined, just copy the old message you want to quote...

This bug has been hanging around forever.😁
I know I messed up once by sending messages to the wrong user long ago...
At first, I thought I just typed the "wrong" name by mistake, but after that, it stuck. Every single time I tried to send a PM, it would send it to the wrong person—even when I was replying directly to the "right" user's post...
It wasn't even a typo with a dot or something; it was two different accounts where one had a space and the other didn't...
Anyway, it finally cleared up after I logged out, wiped my cookies, and logged back in...😉

So, who's supposed to be the guy on the right?
I don't see any resemblance to Sebastian Vettel, and barely any to Kimi... honestly, he looks more like a mini Bottas to me.🤔
F1 Italian GP - Monza (Sept 2, 2018) in Formula 1 ·

There it is... the legendary "Verstappen rolls" 😁
Sebastian Vettel ended up getting slapped with a penalty here even though there was barely any contact to begin with 🙂

Those Gleč miracles look pretty similar to the Vettel vs Lewis Hamilton situation at Indianapolis... except Vettel actually gave plenty of room on the inside, unlike Hamilton.

And obviously, Louie didn't get penalized for Indianapolis, nor would anyone expect him to... honestly, it wouldn't have made sense anyway.
Though, if I'm being totally blunt about how the FIA calls things, I actually expected a penalty for Sebastian Vettel back at Indianapolis 🤣

It’d be a crime not to use it to mess with him a little bit. 😬

Gary Palmer8 said:Wow... the sheer amount of disrespect toward Lewis Hamilton here... what else does he have to prove on the track before people stop claiming he's only good because of luck?

Look, apparently he needs to put on some absolute masterclass performance just for people to admit he drove well, let alone call it one of his best ever...
Honestly, you guys—his fans—are the ones doing him dirty by constantly hyping up every single race as if it were the greatest drive in history. 😵

And here’s the real kicker: it’s not even that Louie hasn't had some killer races this season; he definitely has.
But once you start with this nonsense, it makes it look like all his wins were just empty hype without any actual substance behind them.

mellowtiger83 said:Sebastian Vettel was on the inside of that left chicane turn, and usually, when contact happens there, the guy on the outside (Lewis Hamilton) is the one who spins out.
Hamilton got lucky there! Aside from that, it was a pretty aggressive move by Hamilton—he was pushing it to the limit, and contact was almost inevitable. There was no way Sebastian Vettel could have avoided it at that point. Hamilton went for it because he’s sitting on those championship points and had less to lose.
Sebastian Vettel made a mistake trying to hold his ground, but you can't really blame him. It's a racer's instinct, and what happened was just part of the game.
There's no real villain here, neither Sebastian Vettel nor Lewis Hamilton. It was just a racing incident where one driver walked away with the better end of the deal. It could've easily gone the other way with Hamilton spinning, or both of them ending up in the gravel.
Not much point overthinking it.

In at least 70% of those scenarios, Hamilton would've been the one spinning instead of Sebastian Vettel...
The trick was probably that Sebastian Vettel had his rear tire right on the edge of the curb, hitting that painted section of the track, which likely caused his car to snap.

If Louie were on that curb with any of his tires, he definitely would've spun too...
Sebastian Vettel's only real screw-up was leaving too much room. He should have squeezed him harder before they even hit the corner entry. If he'd done that, he would've had enough pavement to stay straight and wouldn't have spun.
Man, he either needed to back off or be more aggressive. He messed up.

Richard Ross11 said:How? Was his car slower than Vettel's? 🙂

Not exactly. If you look at the overall race pace, he was just straight-up slower than them. Like, significantly...
Look, you can't expect to win if you can't pull at least a 2-second gap on Lewis Hamilton during the entire first stint...
For Kimi to even have a shot, Vettel would need to jump him in the first 2-3 laps and then just keep hammering out those fast laps. Then maybe—just maybe—there's a chance...

Check this out...
http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?p...wis%20Hamilton
Just look at what Kimi is doing from lap 15 onwards. 🤦
Finally, you've got a 1.5-second lead, you've pulled Lewis Hamilton out of the DRS zone, and you know he’s due for a pit stop...
And instead of pinning it to push that gap to at least 2 seconds, you just drop the hammer for three sloppy laps and let Hamilton close back in to within a second...
And no, it’s not about how fast Lewis Hamilton was driving. It's about Kimi's pace:
15 1:24.582 (-1.474)
16 1:24.956
17 1:24.742
18 1:24.839
19 1:24.516

The car clearly had the speed, but Kimi didn't. And he lacked it right when it mattered most in the race... It wasn't that Lewis Hamilton was driving like a maniac; it was Kimi who was being slow...

When you find yourself in a spot where you can't shake someone, it's obvious you're going to get eaten alive by an undercut or an overcut, no matter what...
Even if the crew is sharp and ready to nail a quick stop, which is a big "if" since Ferrari is usually pretty clumsy in these situations...

And honestly, it's clear Kimi is the one to blame for pitting too early, not Ferrari...
Because at the end of the day, Ferrari didn't have much choice after Kimi blew that entire first stint,
especially those critical laps 16-18. He put them in a position where they had to react the second they saw the Mercedes mechanics running out for a pit stop,
because anyone with eyes knows a Mercedes can pull off an undercut in a heartbeat if the gap is a second or less...

Unfortunately, Kimi just doesn't have that consistent race pace needed to win anymore. Nothing new there; we already saw it back in the Lotus days.
He’s got the raw speed to throw down a flyer or grab a fast lap in Third Quarter, but he rarely manages to string together enough consistent laps to make it count...
Sometimes it clicks and he's the fastest guy on track, but he still lacks that sustained rhythm throughout the whole race...
It's just missing. It's glaringly obvious. He might pull a few decent laps in a row now and then,
but it always seems to happen at the wrong time. When he actually needs to dig deep and push? He's nowhere to be found.
