🤣

Nah ☕
They clearly have the best car; they're just sitting there being only 1 second faster than everyone else right now...

And honestly, even top-tier drivers can't fix that if Mercedes keeps putting two mannequins behind the wheel...
Sam Clark75 said:Why isn't the standings graphic even showing up during the broadcast? It’s literally impossible to keep track of who's where—just a total mess.

And that's not even the half of it. Now purple doesn't necessarily mean fastest sector, 🤦
green isn't always better than the last one, and yellow isn't even guaranteed to be slower. 🤦😵

God knows what kind of intern they have running this stuff. 🙄
Idiots. They’ll probably screw up the live graphics just like they butchered the perfectly functional Live Timing and the app—which they spent two whole seasons trying to fix, and even now, it's still barely halfway back to being decent.🙄

Your Mercedes seats are rattling like crazy 🙂🙂🤣
Elizabeth Mendoza said:It’s been obvious for ages that he’s just going to be a yes-man. The real question is whether he’ll actually be as useful in that role as Bottas was.

The second he started posting that pathetic, tear-jerking sob story after the last race of the season—even though nobody asked him anything and it wasn't even his business—it became crystal clear. He’s clearly just there to serve his fellow countrymen.

The guy is dense. He probably thinks that through some mix of cheap diplomacy and sucking up to Tot, he can coast his way into a better spot once Hamilton retires in a year or two.

I'm pretty damn sure Hamilton is yesterday's news. Expect them to dump him from Mercedes just like that and use his exit to hype Russell up into some massive superstar.
Right now, everything—and I mean absolutely everything—points to that exact scenario...☕

Feels like the Germans have had enough of Hamilton, and they're done with Tot too. Honestly, I'm expecting a total shake-up for both of them by the end of this season or next.
Meanwhile, they'll obviously spend that time artificially pumping up Russell as the big star who finally pushed Hamilton aside. 🙂
The Germans and their shareholders definitely didn't appreciate Hamilton moping around after losing the title—which was mostly Tot's fault—and then blaming everyone else to cover up their own massive screw-up with that garbage strategy in the last race. Add in the constant whining into the race director's ear all race long, plus Hamilton's weak defenses and those brainless moves at the very end of 9.3 miles/h, and that unsportsmanlike mess at Silverstone...
And then, lo and behold, no more kneeling before the race. The car is silver again, and somehow, miraculously, it lost its black paint job...
It's blindingly obvious why. Acting like a martyr and playing the victim isn't great for PR...
gentlecobra23 said:Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are seriously talented drivers. Leclerc’s junior category record is basically unmatched on this entire grid—nobody comes close...
The issue at Ferrari is the strategy and the car, not the drivers....

Ferrari's real problem is the Italians running the show; honestly, it's basically everyone in the organization at this point...
It isn't just about bad tactics. It's politics and the internal mess of the whole outfit.
They spend way too much time chasing gossip and PR. Their top priority seems to be how they look in the media...
They care more about what’s trending in the news than anything involving speed, racing, the car, the drivers, or actual F1 stuff...

Regarding the Ferrari drivers and a potential championship run, I’d say Sainz has the edge because he's actually consistent, which is something Leclerc definitely lacks...
But honestly, it doesn't even matter. Even if Ferrari finally builds a car capable of winning a title,
the decision on who gets to be the champion will likely be dictated by Italian media drama and office politics rather than pure pace or driver skill...
James Harris34 said:Alonso needed to step it up if he wanted to pass Petrov for that title, especially after getting totally screwed by the pit wall.

Exactly. But honestly, before he could even dream of a shot at it, he had to jump ahead of him first just to give himself a chance to fix the mess they made...
The craziest part? They didn't even try. The crew didn't even attempt a tactical pivot; they literally just froze up and called it a day...
They see they've messed up, but instead of actually trying to salvage the race, they just focus on calming Alonso down. Their only real priority seems to be deciding who they’re going to throw under the bus after the race to save their own skins.🙂

These guys have spent years doing "reorganizations," scapegoating people like it's somehow just one guy's fault for a season full of blunders, nonexistent tactics, pit lane disasters, and a car that was slow to begin with and somehow got slower with every single upgrade...
And every single time, they axe the people who were actually the backbone of the team, while keeping the dead weight and hiring ten more idiots to replace them.
Thinking back to that era, the only person who actually knew what they were doing—and the only one who should have stayed—was Domenicali. But of course, those geniuses were among the first to kick him out, then spent years cycling through absolute nobodies to fill the boss seat.🙏

Regarding the current Ferrari lineup, both drivers are elite. If they ever end up with the best car on the grid, we're looking at a massive internal showdown, something straight out of the Hamilton-Rosberg days.

I wouldn't go that far. Sainz might have a shot because the kid is consistent...
Leclerc? Not a chance. Regardless of how good he is, Hamilton and Rosberg were both drivers who mastered consistency; they could bank huge points and reliably deliver 1-2 finishes...
On the other hand, Leclerc is more like an Alonso type (he just needs to eat a lot more burgers to reach that level). He can pull off miracles and overachieve massively, but he can also completely blow it—one minute he's killing it in qualifying, the next he's crashing into a wall during the race or finishing a pathetic 7th, 8th, or 10th.

Back in the day, drivers like that could actually win titles because the points system allowed it. In today's world, it's all about being consistently in the top three rather than grabbing brilliant wins and then throwing away points by messing up.
Last season was the perfect example: Leclerc looked better than Sainz most of the time, yet he ended up trailing behind him—and even Norris...
The exact same thing would happen in a title fight...
Brilliant, masterful, blah blah blah—but ultimately, you finish second or third.
Richard Ross11 said:If the Ferraris had a dominant car like the Mercedes, from 2014 until now they’d probably have maybe two constructors' titles and one drivers' title... maybe...

You mean from 2007 to today...🙂
Honestly, regardless of how much better and more experienced their drivers were compared to today, the sheer incompetence of the geniuses on the pit wall meant they would’ve screwed up every single potential title without hesitation.
They might have even stumbled into one championship by some freak miracle, just like that one Kimov title they somehow managed to snag...

In 2008 they had the best car, yet they still managed to blow everything through that "perfectly executed" pit strategy in Singapore. 🙂
In 2010 they basically had the title in the bag, but they blew it purely because of tactics—acting like total idiots by following the car ahead into the pits when that car had absolutely trashed tires and a busted rim. 🙏
Look, realistically, Alonso should have won it anyway. Petrov wasn't exactly an idiot who was going to go out of his way to ram him if he forced the issue...
But of course, the geniuses on the radio kept coddling him, telling him there was plenty of time, that Petrov would definitely pit, and insisting their strategy was flawless when it clearly wasn't.
They probably pumped his pressure up to max, which is likely why he didn't try to push while he actually had the grip and the time left to do it...

And that was back when they actually had to try because their car wasn't dominant. Even then, they acted like everything was easy.
Imagine if they actually had a dominant car. The sheer volume of moronic decisions and tactical blunders would have been on a whole different level.
I'm pretty sure they would've managed to ruin 2014 too if they’d had a Mercedes-level car with Alonso behind the wheel; the poor guy probably would've had a breakdown by the end of the season.

I watch the Live Timing during races, and it's hilarious. Every time a window opens for Ferrari to make a perfect pit stop, they inevitably dive in way too early or way too late. 🤦
To get in and out cleanly, you need at least a 23-second gap, ideally 25 to be safe. They’ll spend laps building a lead of maybe half a second or a full second, then they'll dive in with only a 21-second gap and wonder why they're stuck behind someone 😍 and sitting there looking completely clueless about what went wrong.
Or it's the opposite: they have a 25-second lead, the tires are dying, and the gap is shrinking. Instead of pitting while they still have over 23 seconds, they wait until the tires are completely shot and the gap drops to 10 or 15 seconds, then act surprised when they get overtaken in the pits. 😁
Watching them is honestly comedy gold. I get the feeling all their monitors are unplugged and they can't find the power switch. It's like they can only see one single car on their screens—usually the one right in front or right behind—and everyone else on the track just doesn't exist until they suddenly find themselves stuck in a massive pack. 🤦

Roger Wright94 said:Strategy is going to be a whole different ballgame too.
Since the gaps between the cars are shrinking, pit stops are going to matter way more—one bad call or a botched tire change will cost you everything.

So yeah, we might as well write Ferrari off as title contenders right now...
Honestly, we’re just sitting here waiting for Russell to go on a media tour crying about how much better Bottas had it when he switched teams 🙂
Just picturing Toto wiping his tears while using that whiny little voice, telling him, "It'll be okay, George..."
Richard Walker38 said:Seriously, how many people actually think Mercedes is struggling right now? 😁

So, 😳
Bottas thinks Mercedes is in deep trouble and that his Alfa Romeo is actually faster than the Mercedes 😁
graniteharbor502 said:Based on everything I'm hearing floating around the paddock these last two days, most people see Mercedes-Benz, Red Bull Racing, and Ferrari sitting in that top three spot, though the gap between them and the rest of the grid seems to be shrinking.
To me, Ferrari looks like they have the fastest car right now. But hey, we won't know the actual order until qualifying next Saturday.

So, it's basically just Red Bull Racing and Mercedes-Benz fighting for titles... big surprise there. 🤔
If Ferrari isn't at least 3 seconds faster than everyone else, they don't stand a chance once they inevitably screw everything up with some brainless tactical calls or pathetic pit stops.
It'll just be Mercedes-Benz vs Red Bull Racing, while Ferrari somehow manages to win the "Formula 1 Testing Championship" yet again. 🙏
It’s not even about Williams, Aston Martin, Mercedes, or McLaren 🤔
They must've been following some kind of logic. Sure, they could've built a smaller, lighter car, but it probably would've been slower due to crappy aerodynamics. So, they went with the bigger, heavier option instead...

And now, of course, they’re going to play the political game to score an advantage—trying to lobby for a higher minimum weight limit just so they can mess with the ballast and get a better weight distribution...
Nathan Doyle4 said:I’m just not buying this...
You expect me to believe nine different teams messed up their minimum weight by something like 40kg while building new cars? (Even if it was just a pound or two, 40kg? Seriously?) And somehow only Alfa has a scale in their garage???
Either way, if this is actually true, I hope they don't change the regs, because then Alfa gets rewarded with basically driving lead weights just because they were the only ones actually following the rules.😵

They didn't "mess up," they just couldn't hit the minimum weight...
Pay attention—we're talking about minimum weight here, not maximum...

Yeah, obviously a lighter car is better, but being overweight isn't illegal. It'd be illegal if they were too light...

Just because a car is the lightest doesn't mean it'll be the fastest. Honestly, looking at what we've seen so far, you should expect Alfa to get knocked out in Q1 or barely scrape through to Q2 on pure luck...
How the hell is the Alfa not overweight? 🤔

But honestly, it would be wild if some absolute miracle happened and it turns out the Alfa actually has a winning car on their hands. 🙏🤣
Man, imagine how insane it would be if old man Bottas somehow snatched the title, or even crazier, ended up fighting for it against the Williams guys. 😂

Those idiots at Sky would be absolutely losing their minds on live TV, probably crying a river over poor Russell's "tragic" fate. 🤣

Ted breaks down how Ferrari actually works. 😁
Gregory Brown94, why all the drama and arguing? If someone's getting under your skin, just hit the ignore button...
Red Bull Racing has always had killer aero 😬
Mercedes looks extremely anorexic...
We'll see if that actually pays off or just backfires.

At first glance, nothing special jumps out, but I get the feeling it's way narrower than the rest of the field...

It would be pretty interesting to see a side-by-side comparison of the Mercedes, McLaren, Williams, and AM cars...
They don't look like they share much in common, which is weird considering they're all running the same power unit...
graniteharbor502 said:Gary Anderson analyzed the Red Bull RB18 and he’s not impressed.
He thinks this car isn't winning any races...

Now I'm 100% certain that Ferrari has the absolute fastest car on the grid...

Ferrari is an absolute beast, honestly a total masterpiece, though it looks like those clumsy Italians might actually manage to snag two titles in the next 20 years 😲
Jack Kelly5 said:No offense, ladies, President Clearly he’s just got a thing for guys, so every single post from a woman on this forum is basically an eyesore to him...
😬

If that story about him being married four times is actually true, then honestly, it’s no wonder he turned out like this. 😬

As far as McLaren goes, they’re rocking their sponsor colors now, but honestly? Those colors are just ugly.
Just like how RP looked absolutely hideous back in the day when they were rocking those BWT sponsor colors. 🤣
