Flu symptoms in Health ·
So, my little boy came down with the flu today—even though he actually got vaccinated. 😢 A friend mentioned that the shot isn't 100% effective, which I suppose makes sense. 😢 I've picked up all sorts of tablets already, but does anyone know which ones have actually worked for you? Please. 😢

Heh—I don't necessarily need to carry it around, but I guess it's good to have at home just in case some psychos decide they want my organs... 😲

Not quite—if that’s actually how it works, I’ll just make sure to file a formal opt-out with a notary public.

Then how exactly do you plan on paying? 😕
Drew Young10 said:I’m not sure if this has been brought up before, but here goes. I’ve had my donor card for two years now—I’m all for this noble stuff that saves lives—but I read somewhere that donor numbers in America aren't exactly high. It makes me wonder if people just talk a big game, only to look the other way when it actually matters.
What’s the general consensus on this?

You’ve posted this before... maybe try searching the archives. 🙂

If you can't find it, I'll give you my take—I wouldn't donate an organ.
Colored contact lenses in Health ·
What if WE suggested the color? 😕 I mean, we could potentially give you feedback on things like experience or pricing—sorry—but when it comes to the actual color, I guess you should probably decide for yourself... Why make it complicated when it doesn't need to be?

Ethan Phillips38 said:I have a weakness for blondes with blue or green eyes. Green is always my top choice—I call them "Mississippi River eyes"—while blue ones remind me of the water out by Key West. 😁
I guess you don't even need contacts—but if you’re hell-bent on getting them, stick to green. Brown eyes are everywhere, and any other color just looks a bit too intense.
So, green eyes—get yourself to Boston. 😁 ...

These are my favorites... I guess. 🙄 Look, I realize this is a total tangent—not that it matters much—but since you clearly know more than I do, I might as well just ask. I guess what really boils down to is this:
blue
Blue or green eyes—I guess it depends on the person.
😕

If those two criteria are met, I guess your chances are okay. Though—on one hand—those standards seem pretty meager. On the other—you've got some serious luck... because look, if that’s all it takes to find a good woman—then man— 👍

By the way—since this actually ties back to the topic—she wasn't even asking if she needed lenses or not; she was more interested in which ones to get, the pricing, and things like that... I guess.

Look, sorry—I can give you some input on the meds, but when it comes to colors—well, I guess that's more of a personal call. I can't really pick a shade for you... 😕

Just go with whatever you like. 👍

So, I’ve used colored contacts before. Since I'm blind—which explains why I wear them—I decided to try out some colored ones that one time.

My eyes are green, so I went with dark green lenses... I honestly don't remember the price, though; it was several years ago—I can't even recall the exact amount... sorry... 😢 Obviously, they did change my eye color...

Anyway... what was the point of this post again? 🤔 😁
OB/GYN Discussion Thread in Women's Health ·
Going to the gynecologist usually leaves me feeling overwhelmed by sheer beauty... 🙄

I don't have anything "beautiful" to say—honestly, there's nothing worse than being in that exam room. It's a revolting experience in every sense of the word... I avoid it at all costs, unless it's absolutely necessary. 😠

What should I actually look out for here?

😕

Is donating blood allowed afterward?

Health-wise, it’s basically zero risk, I guess. As for the price, it really just depends on the size of the tattoo, if you want color or whatever—it's better to just head to a shop and ask.

You just have to make sure you don't soak it for about two weeks, and apply some Neosporin a few times a day—that's pretty much it.

You can donate blood.
I wouldn't donate a dime... I came into this world with nothing, and I suppose I'll leave it the same way... 😎
😁 😁 😁

I might have gotten a little carried away... 😳

My bad, Casey Palmer5! 😘
So what happens if you have, say, nine files—where a few are massive 2,000-page beasts, but the rest are just sitting between 400 and 800?

Don't even get me started... I could probably knock that out in a couple of weeks by grinding through an hour or two every day, I guess 😠.

Nevermind.
You know what really gets under my skin?!

It’s the crowd from those "easy" colleges who—always, but ALWAYS—insist on complaining about how their workload isn't actually that bad and how they "have to study" too. I’m not saying you don't have to study—of course you do—but a week of intense cramming? It’s honestly ridiculous... I mean, that was basically my entire high school experience.

Why can't you just be happy and satisfied that you managed to get into such easy programs, instead of constantly feeling the need to act tough—like, "oh, it’s not easy for us either"???
These exams have to be absolute garbage if you're expected to cram everything in just one week!

Seriously—I can barely prep for a single elective in seven days, let alone some "major" exam.

Look, if you're juggling 22 exams a year and only studying for maybe two hours every week or two (if you're lucky...🙄 )... that adds up to roughly three months of study per year. Hello?!

It's a complete joke. 😠

Maybe you all are just geniuses while I'm clearly the idiot here... I guess that's how it works.

👋
Ashley Vaughn79 said:It’s not like I’ve ever been stressed... Maybe I just haven't hit a truly important exam yet. Usually, I study for maybe two weeks—an hour at a time—and I've passed four exams so far, which is almost enough to meet the requirements!

Jesus !!!!!, you seriously have to be attending some joke of a college if you think studying an hour a day for two weeks counts...😠

I love those kinds of "universities"... people graduate from places like that and end up with the exact same degree I got from my high school.

That's some impressive studying right there :2up:
