Steven Lopez35 said:Fat burners aren't just placebos, but they only offer a tiny edge—maybe a few percent—compared to someone who doesn't use them. So, if you've got the extra cash, why not?
@Olivia Miller/">@@Olivia Miller - It’s honestly funny how little you actually know about nutrition and "working out." Maybe try reading more and listening to your friends less, especially those fad diets from Cosmos... If you haven't lost a single thing despite using two bottles of fat burners and doing the "workouts" you mentioned, you need to fix your diet first.
If you consider yourself "toned" right now but your stomach is still bulging, you've made a massive mistake: you likely just slashed your calories across the board, losing muscle mass along with the fat. Since your body clearly stores most of its fat in the midsection, what happened is that the rest of your body looks "normal," but it isn't actually healthy because I'm fairly certain you have zero muscle mass. You just look skinny while your body fat percentage remains high. (Translation: you have work to do)
What you really need to do is start lifting weights, clean up your diet so you're eating at a deficit relative to your basal metabolic rate, and get some cardio in (running, the stair climber, or whatever you ladies do)—that's how you'll lose the belly. Also, sit-ups won't burn the fat off your stomach. I'm not saying you should cut them from your routine entirely, but doing 500 crunches every day isn't going to help. Focus on your arms, back, chest, glutes, legs, etc...
NOTE: Don't starve yourself and spend the whole day feeling hungry... that's the wrong approach.
First things first—what is Cosmos? 🙄 😉 Compared to having nothing but "pudding" where my arm and leg muscles should be, I can finally say I actually have muscle now.🙂 I'm working with 5lb dumbbells and 10lb or 15lb kettlebells... squats, push-ups, lunges, all kinds of core work, back exercises, and step aerobics for cardio. And yeah, I do an hour every single day. So, I don't think the issue is the exercise; I'm probably still consuming more calories than I'm burning. Plus, there's my age (37) and hormonal imbalances to deal with. Just a note: when I said I'm constantly hungry, I didn't mean I'm not eating.🤣 Quite the opposite.🙂

I went through two bottles myself while working out every single day, and I saw absolutely zero results. They just don't work. Now I actually have a question of my own... since I'm on a budget, I can't afford the premium "name brand" proteins. I noticed some options at Target and Walmart. I've been training for a year now, cut out bread and all the junk food, and I've definitely reshaped my body and built some muscle, but my stomach is still bulging. I feel hungry all the time, so I was thinking about adding protein shakes after my workouts. Is that a smart move? Does it actually help?
My apologies if there’s already a thread like this; I couldn't seem to find one... So, I had a hysterectomy quite a few years ago, and it's only just now that I've started experiencing occasional dryness during intimacy. I was wondering if I should just stick to something basic like Vaseline, or if there is a specific product designed specifically for these kinds of issues? Thanks 🙂
Goodbye, Wells Fargo—I never had any love for you anyway.🙄 I’m finally done with this bank; they managed to drive my blood pressure up to astronomical levels! 🙄 Even though I have a steady income and child support hitting my account, things went south fast. When the child support payments stopped coming in for a few months, I did the responsible thing and headed down to the branch to use my overdraft limit just to get by. But wouldn't you know it? They had slashed my overdraft limit by $267 without even sending me a single notification! To make matters worse, when I updated my last name and address, I had to wait three whole months for my new debit card. And I was the one who had to chase them down, visiting the branch three times a week because they never bothered to give me a call 👎 I’ve officially moved my business to a different bank, and my new card arrived at my house in just two days! 👍
Charles Ramos7 said:The Raiffeisen Mastercard is a true credit card through and through. You’re only required to cover the minimum monthly payment—which is 10% of your total balance (at least $50)—and anything extra you decide to pay is entirely up to you.
So, if I buy something for $50, does the full amount hit my bill immediately? Or is that $50 minimum amount actually what I can opt to pay in installments? (Sorry, I'm a little lost here 😉). Also, regarding my own choice—do I need to specify how many installments I want every single time?
Can someone walk me through how a revolving credit card actually works? Someone mentioned that if I buy something for $233 at a place like Hypo Bank, for instance, I could spread those payments out over ten months. Is that standard practice across all banks, or is it specific to somewhere like Raiffeisen?
You're very welcome 🙂 Honestly, hair loss was the least of my worries. About two or three weeks after my last cycle, it finally started growing back, and it actually feels much thicker and healthier than before. 🙂
Robin Torres4 said:I’m looking for anyone who has dealt with the side effects from Taxol chemotherapy. My mom is fighting lung cancer and finished her sixth cycle over a month ago, but the pain in her feet just won't let up. Her skin has become incredibly thin and sensitive—even the slightest touch hurts. Does anyone know how she can soothe this pain, and how much longer this usually lasts after finishing chemo? Thanks in advance.
I went through Taxol myself, but I didn't experience those specific side effects at all.🤷 Are you absolutely certain it was the Taxol? On a side note, since I'm already here... my visits to the oncologist are officially over after ten years! My doctor says the risk is minimal now and we don't need to see each other anymore. So, please don't lose hope. Keep a positive mindset—miracles really do happen!😍👍🙂🎉👋🙂: trio:🙂
What kind of juice diet are we even talking about, people? You need actual food! When I was struggling, they gave me two weeks of solid nutrition, and it’s been ten years since then. I ate everything from oatmeal and yogurt to steak and hearty stews. Honestly, who actually lives off nothing but juices? No matter what they're made of. Good food, a positive mindset, and just keep moving forward!
Angela Wright said:My mom only lost her hair. Unfortunately, the hair on my legs has proven to be resistant to everything, including chemotherapy.😳
My eyelashes, eyebrows, leg hair, and even the hair under my arms and... well, down there... they've all just fallen out. The only thing left is the hair on my arms. Honestly, though, it’s actually saved me quite a bit of time—I don't have to worry about shaving, plucking my brows, or spending forever styling my hair.😉 My hair actually feels thicker and healthier now, though I have noticed the quality has dipped slightly over time. As for body hair, it’s stayed pretty much the same—if anything, it might even be a little thinner.
mellowbison13, I used to drink Aloe Vera, though I made it myself rather than buying it from a store. Once I finished that, I switched over to Taheebo tea followed by some green honey. That was all about ten years ago, and honestly, I didn't notice any negative side effects at all.
Melissa Parker37 said:Has anyone actually tried this? A neighbor was telling me about it because she used it three years ago when she was battling ovarian cancer, though she was also taking Noni, beet juice, Taheebo tea, and who knows what else. I’m hesitant to give it to my dad because there's alcohol in it. He’s currently in the hospital waiting for chemo, which has been pushed back because he has a UTI and is on antibiotics. Mixing antibiotics and alcohol 👎
I’ve taken this myself. I didn't notice any issues with the alcohol content—to be fair, I wasn't on antibiotics at the time—but since you only take this by the spoonful, I don't think it will be an issue. 👍
I currently hold a checking account with Hypo Bank and I’m looking into applying for a credit card. My income is steady, though it isn't particularly high. Could anyone clarify if there are specific requirements for getting a card at this institution, and which type would be my best bet?😕 Also, once I submit the application, how long does it usually take before I actually have the card in my wallet?
Just wanted to pop in quickly to say hello. I haven't been posting much lately; things have been pretty hectic at work.🙄
Any good news to share?
I could also use some advice if anyone knows.Where in Chicago can I find a good wig shop? My mom hasn't started losing her hair yet, but we want to be prepared so she has a wig ready when it does.😢
Thanks, and stay strong.
Love,😘
I'm not in Chicago, but I do have a tip. You can actually request a wig through Medicare; they'll cover part of the cost for you. There was also this little loophole I discovered when I was getting my first one... you get some paperwork (an application, I think) where you specify the style, like long or short. I wrote down long, but then changed my mind, and it turned out Medicare reimbursed me for the more expensive long wig even though I ended up getting a short one, so I paid way less than expected. Since then, the head nurse at the Oncology Department tells everyone—ask for the long one, but take the short one. 😉

I'm curious—what kind of symptoms did you experience, and was it caught in the early stages? What specific tests did you undergo to get a diagnosis?
Wishing everyone the best of luck with their treatment and sending you all so much strength; I know how much you have inside you.
I had this intense pressure on my bladder. I went to my gynecologist, and she just tells me, "You have a large tumor; it looks like you're four months pregnant. Come back for a follow-up in three months. Goodbye." And I'm just standing there like—😲 😲 😲 😲 😕 So, I went to get my CA-125 (tumor marker) checked, and the result was 958, when the normal limit is 35. I went to see an oncologist, and he actually called my gynecologist personally at home to demand an emergency surgery appointment ("Three months? Are you kidding me, lady? This girl needs to be in the hospital immediately!"). Five days later, I was in surgery. The tumor was the size of a baby's head and had already metastasized, so it definitely wasn't an early stage. In most cases, the abdomen swells up from this, but mine grew toward the back, so I barely had any symptoms... aside from that CA-125 level. I also had a color Doppler and an ultrasound. That’s my story.
Lisa Mendoza said:Hi everyone. My wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer (small cell carcinoma) 15 months ago. She’s already gone through two surgeries and 13 rounds of chemo. Just three days ago, an ultrasound showed her lymph nodes are enlarged again. It hasn't even been three months since her last chemo session, and she's nine months out from her second surgery. Now, they're looking at another surgery followed by more chemo. Has anyone here been through this exact situation? I'm curious about which chemo protocols (specific drugs) were used and if there are any supplements or medications that actually help. Also, has anyone done radiation alongside chemo? Thanks in advance.
I went through chemo for malignant ovarian cancer myself—Taxol and Carboplatin. I didn't take any pharmaceutical supplements; I just stuck to natural ways to support my body, like Aloe Vera. Regarding radiation, one doctor suggested it, but my oncologist was against it; he said I was too young to let them "fry" me (I was only 24 at the time). After five years, my lymph nodes swelled up and I had metastases in my liver. They put me back on the same chemo drugs, and honestly, it's been another five years since then and everything is fine now. It should stay that way, too. 🙂 Just stay optimistic, keep a positive mindset, keep smiling, and keep pushing forward!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 Good luck!!
