I've always been a fan of Joanna. Honestly, I don't care if her voice has changed—if anything, it's better this way. Staying the exact same person for an entire career would be boring anyway. She sounds like herself on the new album too.

My lower abdomen has been killing me for four days straight this month.
I’ve got exactly 10 days until my period starts, so I really doubt it’s PMS.
Is it even possible to catch a cold in your ovaries or something?
Since I started on the pill, I haven't had any mid-month pain, so I have no clue what's causing this.

You on the pill?

My UPS symptoms have definitely chilled out since I got into a relationship (though they tend to creep back whenever we hit a rough patch)
I’ve got this thing where I have to break sentences down into chunks—say, three parts—based on syllables. The last syllable has to land perfectly at the far right edge of my mouth (if you're counting by your teeth) or right on my third finger. If it doesn't line up, I have to start over. And if I mess up and the first part lands too far left (like on my index finger), I end up having to repeat the whole damn sentence multiple times.
Here’s how I split them up: [1]I- [2]am- [3]eat-
[1]ing- [2]ice- [3]cream
[1]ice- [2]cream- [3]yum

(Finishing a sentence on time feels great. It’s the worst when a long sentence ends on "one" and I’m forced to repeat the entire thing two more times.)

I also can't stand things being off-center. I have to line up every object by size and color. If there's even a little clutter around me, I feel totally unbalanced.
I don't obsess over germs enough to wash my hands constantly, but sometimes I feel like I'll trigger a migraine if I touch my forehead. Also, I have to start any new task exactly on the hour.

That’s my deal. Honestly, I don't even know how much of this is actually UPS because I’ve never bothered seeking professional help (even though it’s driven me crazy plenty of times). I just figured this was it after reading about similar cases online.
What do you guys think?
If there’s any way you can avoid those meds—assuming you aren't actually spiraling—just stay away from them.
You'll just end up hooked, and they’ll fry your brain in the long run. I’ve seen too many cases with older folks, people over 60, turning completely senile, and it’s probably because of pills like these.
Stick to natural stuff. Honestly, don't even bother with vitamins; just eat plenty of fruit and get what you need from there.

And whatever you do, do not mix birth control with antidepressants!

Sarah Jones70 said:I got my period right after starting the pill... then I got another one shortly after, which was only a day or two late. Now I was supposed to get it on November 2nd and still nothing. I've been dealing with nausea, feeling super jittery, and my ovaries are aching. My period just won't show up. It's driving me insane. I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant, but it's just annoying that it's this late.

When I quit the pill, it was only three days late. Honestly, my cycle went back to normal, just like it was before I started taking them.
My issue is that I restarted the pill on the very first day my period showed up, and now the bleeding won't stop! The first day was incredibly light, but by the second day, I was throwing up constantly. It slowly tapered off until the fourth day, but just when I thought it was over, since the fifth day, I've been getting this heavy spotting every single morning. Just in the morning, then nothing the rest of the day.
I'll wait a few more days, and if this doesn't quit, I'm heading to my OBGYN (it's day 8 today and it happened again this morning).
What do you guys think is going on? 😕

Hannah Peterson14 said:Yeah, I actually stopped taking Diana a few days ago too. My doctor told me my period might be late by up to three weeks while my ovaries get back into the swing of things.

Oh yeah, regarding that part—I also stopped the pill and my period was three days late (it showed up on day 31, which is how it usually goes when I'm off them).
The issue is it's super light, even though it's normally really heavy.
Wonder if that's just because I skipped the pills this month?😕

Angela Peterson57 said:Oh boy... she wants to shift her cycle so her period shows up two days early just to get it over with before New Year's 😁... so she's wondering if she should start the pill two days before her break ends (on day 5 of the break) or just stop taking them two days before the next break starts?
Which way is smarter, or does it even matter?

Two days before the break ends means day 5 of the break. 😉

coastalscout24 said:Hey, I've got a problem. My period was supposed to start on October 10th. My boyfriend and I had sex on the 11th without protection—he didn't finish inside, but still. It’s October 18th now and nothing. My cycle has been all over the place lately; last month it showed up right on time, but the months before that, I was late by ten days. Now I'm freaking out because I'm exactly a week late. Could I actually be pregnant? I need answers ASAP. Which pregnancy tests actually work, and when is the best time to go take one? Thanks. Oh, and we're both 17.

Look, if he didn't finish inside you, the odds are slim, but they aren't zero. You should probably hit up a gynecologist. Or, if you haven't done that yet, just swing by a CVS and grab a pregnancy test.
I think you really need to get your period. The issue is your cycle is so irregular that you probably have zero clue when you’re actually fertile or not. But honestly, if he didn't finish inside you, does it even matter? Unless you're just looking for trouble.🤷

Here's the deal... I've been on Yasmin for about 6 months now.
Two days ago was day 8—basically the day I’m supposed to start a new pack and the last day of my period.
The issue is I didn't keep taking them, and I had sex a week ago plus again on that last day of my period.
Now I'm stuck wondering if I should just jump back into a new pack and stay careful, or if I should just skip this month entirely and wait until my next period starts to begin a new pack.
Anyone dealt with this before?
Paul Ross12 said:I’ve got two packs left before I call it quits. I’ve been on this for two years now—mood swings are clearly my biggest issue. I’m 38, and while I’ve tried just about everything under the sun, these pills actually made me wonder if I was spiraling into a serious depression. Since it’s a hot topic right now (not to mention I smoke two packs a day), I did some digging online and stumbled upon this. My god, it’s like looking at a mirror... http://www.medications.com/se/yasmin?page=1 .

I knew the risks going in—I accepted them—but I didn't realize Yasmin would turn me into a total zombie.

I even heard the stuff about B-complex and took the vitamins, but honestly? It did nothing.

Please, just take a look at the link. Instead of me listing out my symptoms, they’re all laid out there in detail...

Ugh, tell me about it. These mood swings are wrecking me too... I'll be depressed, then suddenly acting all upbeat and hyper, then by late night I'm back in a deep depressive rut.
I'm on Yasmin and I'm not stopping because my liver tests and blood work came back perfect. Honestly, I'm terrified of trying anything else. If Yasmin hits this hard with such a low hormone dose, how bad could the other ones be? 🤷

Hannah Lopez40 said:I'm wondering how long your cycles usually last and how heavy the flow is...?
Is it always regular for you guys..?
...I heard there are tons of cases where girls don't get it for months at a time... I just don't get it! 🤷
...just looking for your experiences...

Before I was on the pill, my cycle was 31 days. Since starting them, it's down to 23 or 24.
Flow is a solid 5.
