Ryan Ruiz said:Look, you might not recall this, but a long time ago I wrote under that "pros and cons" thread that my biggest flaw is intolerance. And what am I supposed to do about it? You think I haven't tried to change?
Kevin Chavez3 said:Please, blame the ocean if you want, but that’s just nonsense. 🙄
Ryan Ruiz said:No, it is simply intolerance. I will admit to being intolerant, and there are plenty of valid reasons for it, though this particular topic isn't broad enough to warrant a full dissertation.
And what exactly is it that makes me insecure?
I simply have no desire to listen to Eastern music, which frankly has no business being played in an American high school.
Ryan Ruiz said:Exactly... and that is precisely why she lives in her own personal hell. She truly does. She bears half the blame. One might call it my own version of hamartia—that sense of guilt without actual sin. I love her and I loathe her, yet I wouldn't exist if it weren't for her, for that flaw. What good is a prestigious school if its only real achievement is turning out racist brats like you?
God, girl, you used to mean so much to me.
Broadcasting Islamic nonsense in a prestigious school is nothing short of a catastrophe.
Use the correct terminology if you intend to label something as religious racism.
Playing tracks like those Islamic chants or even anything by Tomson is nothing short of primitive, regardless of how popular the hits might be.
I maintain a firm position on this: folk music with those specific cultural undertones simply isn't any good. I harbor no hatred toward anyone, but that is my stance.

We represent the folks affected by the incident, and we want to apologize for any hassle caused. We aren't mindless hillbillies, but look—once you've had a few drinks, things get blurry—but that Jim Beam you guys were pushing is absolute garbage. You saw exactly what it did to us...
Kevin Chavez3 said:Uh... I don't know... And frankly, I have no desire to find out.
It’s quite telling that this forum censors the word "*****" while leaving the female equivalent untouched. If this is what modern American gender equality looks like, we are in trouble.
Kevin Chavez3 said:Was the joke perhaps related to forest animals and grass? That seems to be a trend lately among engineering students over at UT Austin... 😁

Morski vražičko said:Regarding that matter... I don't actually listen to Thompson at all. I will simply tell you this: most of it is fine, and while some parts lean toward being extremist, you have to remember when those lyrics were actually penned. They were written back when we were being slaughtered and bombs were falling on our cities; they weren't written recently, but between '91 and '95.
