I see your reply now. Thanks, I'll look into it...

Where am I supposed to find those around here?

Maybe I am just lazy, honestly, I can't rule that out—but man, it feels like breaking habits that have been baked into your life for over a decade without any real support is incredibly tough.

It’s kind of like how you rarely see someone struggling with a serious addiction suddenly decide to walk into a rehab center on their own terms and fix everything overnight.

Anyway, that’s just my two cents, though I’m sure there are plenty of other weird paradoxes at play here.

Yeah, I agree. We all have at least one bad habit or some sort of dependency, but you really have to look at it from a different angle: who's actually in control? Is it you controlling the addiction, or is it controlling you? You have to work on shifting your mindset step by step. A good way to start is setting a 30-day challenge for yourself where you completely cut out whatever you think is hurting you, or at least scale it back—like cutting down on screen time. That's what I did when I set a goal to start working out; once I got going, my ego wouldn't let me quit because failing would have felt like such a defeat. I would have practically punished myself if I had given up right when I was close to finishing the cycle.
How can you be so sure you can't pull it off? Did you actually give it a shot and realize it wasn't working, or are you just being lazy and walking away before you even tried to change anything?

What kind of bad habits are we talking about here?

I’m fully aware of how little I actually know. 🧐

It wasn't even the music that made me head out—I can listen to just about anything without complaining—it was just the fact that it was the weekend and I wanted to hit somewhere that actually catered to my taste. If this had been a weekday, I probably would've stayed until they kicked us all out.

Hannah Kim5, you were the first one to slide into my DMs, though you used my old username, so... let's just say it was all in good fun. I sent you some mindless message like three weeks ago, and honestly, I don't even remember what it said, but clearly, you women have photographic memories for stuff like that. No big deal, though. Just keeping things light.

What old profile? Because I know exactly who I'm messaging in my DMs, and I don't just blast random people with messages. I'm assuming you're just making this up to wiggle out of it anyway.

nimbleharbor46 is just so refreshingly blunt 😍

She just lays it all out there without any filter 🤣

Of course they do. Everyone's a tough guy when they're hiding behind a screen. 😁

Honestly, though, I think he’s just playing along with the joke. He’s actually a decent guy, and if you look closely, things haven't been easy for him lately. In fact, if everything I’ve read about his life is true, they really ought to make a movie about him. I have to say, I’m a bit tired of seeing nothing but strong female leads in movies lately; I think it’s about time we got a compelling male protagonist back on screen for a change.

Personally, I find it more depressing than funny, especially since there isn't even 2% actual humor in those garbage shows.

This guy is just plain rude and lacks any shred of imagination. Seriously, he slid into my DMs with zero posts under his belt, spamming me with these pathetic little messages. But the absolute peak of his stupidity? He actually had the nerve to set his own selfie as his profile picture.

I have to admit—it’s a hell of a level of self-control. ☕

Or maybe you just weren't putting enough pressure on her.

How to delete a thread in Forum Help! ·
I was also wondering if there's any way to delete threads that have been locked and aren't serving any purpose anymore? Or even topics I started years ago that haven't seen any activity in ages?
For privacy reasons, I'd really prefer to have them scrubbed so they aren't sitting there attached to my profile...

Dealing with annoying ads and pop-ups in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Nicholas Nguyen said:Get an adblocker installed, people. Beyond just saving you from annoying ads, it’s a vital security measure because viruses frequently hide within advertisements.
After all, a few years back, Reddit was paralyzed for days, and a massive number of users had their computers infected exactly that way.
Those who were running an adblocker escaped without any damage.

I'm using Chrome on my phone, which app should I grab from the Google Play Store?
Forum ads/promotions in Forum Help! ·
It’s not just about the ads; the site keeps kicking me out right when I’m trying to type a post. I’ll go back to a thread multiple times just to read something or try to reply, and then—nothing.
So incredibly annoying.
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
mistybear12 said:No, because attempting to take these medications without conducting proper medical screenings would be quite irresponsible, which is why they are strictly prescription only. Not everyone is a suitable candidate for oral contraceptives—certain conditions like diabetes, vascular diseases, or migraines with aura can make them dangerous... That is why American gynecologists insist on comprehensive checkups, including blood coagulation tests and liver function panels. Furthermore, one must consider family medical history, specifically looking for hereditary risks of pulmonary embolisms or deep vein thrombosis, which can sometimes be linked to other serious conditions...

I just saw your reply. Honestly, I already forgot I had even posted on this thread. 🤣

It makes more sense now.

I actually need them for some other reasons—things my doctor mentioned could help—but I really don't feel like driving door-to-door across town just to get a single box of pills.
I know it sounds reckless, but what can you do...
Sometimes I really try to find a decent substitute for a certain four-letter word, but honestly, it’s harder than it looks. 😁
