Starting this thread because I’m curious if anyone here has actually gone through it... Any firsthand accounts? Does the insertion process actually hurt? And can you really feel it under your finger like they say it should...

Oh sure, I'll just go ahead and bank some extra sleep now, and then somehow store those hours away for later so I'm not exhausted when the time comes. Yeah, right...

I was at my last checkup in the OB-GYN office when I found myself standing right next to three guys who were just sitting there... apparently exhausted from accompanying their better halves.
Let me repeat that: an OB-GYN clinic.
A place where they truly have nothing to ask for—other than maybe being a support system—let alone taking up precious seating space.

Ugh, this whole shopping situation has been driving me absolutely insane since my sister said she'd help out.
Back when I was about four or five months pregnant, she decided we should get a crib. But her plan was to wait a couple of months until "some extra cash hits our bank account"—yeah, right...
Two weeks later, I happen to find the exact crib I wanted on sale for $283, fully loaded, so I just went ahead and bought it. She promised she’d pay me back.
(In the meantime, my mom actually had to cover the bill for me because I was short on funds)
Fast forward to now—I'm two weeks away from my due date, and suddenly, there hasn't been a single word about that money.

Why make a promise if you have zero intention of keeping it? Is it just for the ego boost of hearing yourself say you'll buy someone something?

I have a question that might sound a bit silly...

Basically, I still have that prescription from my OB-GYN for birth control pills (Cileste). I was taking them for a while, but I haven't touched them for about two months now.
So, here's the thing: I just realized that during the only three days this summer when I’ll actually have some alone time with my partner, I’m supposed to be on my period. That’s happening in about 15 days—right in the middle of my cycle. Can I start taking the pills now? I really want to push my period back, even just a little, to get that effect from the medication...
What do you all think?
I know playing around with hormones isn't exactly something you should... mess with, but these three days of privacy and solitude are everything to me this summer, so...

I’m looking to pick up a car, which means I'll need a loan for roughly $9,000—assuming I can scrape together about $2,200 from selling my old clunker. I’ve only been at my current job for three months on a temporary contract, though in reality, it's basically permanent... not that any bank cares about "intent" when the paperwork says three months here, six months there, and so on. My gross pay is at least $1500, but my take-home is closer to $430. Is there any chance a bank will actually approve me? 😕

I know I sound a bit lost, but I'm still figuring all this out.....🤷
