I'm not trying to be a preacher here, but it's wild seeing 7-year-old girls watching tutorials on how to look like anorexic supermodels instead of just watching cartoons... 👎

What kind of nonsense?

I'm dying to know what would happen if they tried starting something like that at the University of Virginia. They'd have the whole place trashed in minutes...

But honestly, this kind of crap always seems to go down right here in California, from the old days of Marshall to those vintage flag rallies...

Kevin Smith82 said:What kind of nonsense are you spewing?☕Every day in Germany, priests were being sent off to concentration camps. Even Pope Pius XII wrote about accepting whatever fate came his way, including death. And once the regime seized power in 1944, the Arrow Cross began their reign of terror against the Canadian clergy...

That's Nazism I'm talking about. I'm talking about fascism—specifically the Spanish and Italian versions I used as examples...

They weren't, for instance, locking Jews up in camps...

🤣

Actually, Bimbo is an American word too, basically just meaning some young, dumb bimbo or slut...

America would likely collapse without California and be swallowed up by new Yugo integration immediately.

And how exactly would that happen? 😲

Robin Ramos2 said:But seriously, what is the actual, concrete difference between fascism and socialism??

Look, under fascism, you’ve got the old-school elites, big landowners, and the Church all backing the state...

Socialism hasn't really worked in any meaningful way, so you get all kinds of mess—everything from Trotskyism and Leninism to Stalinism and Maoism. They're all just bad movements if you ask me...

To be real... a buddy of mine wouldn't even touch trop de elita because the movie—regardless of what 👍 or 🙏 is—"wasn't in English and he's used to watching stuff in English" 😁...
I'll admit, it trips me up sometimes too since my English is solid but I barely know any other languages. Still, it never crosses my mind to skip a movie just because it's in a foreign tongue... honestly, most of them are pretty easy to follow, and half the time I just turn off the subtitles and listen to the dialogue 🙂

I will say, I struggle with Asian cinema... if I'm not paying super close attention, I lose track of who everyone is 😁, names don't stick and, let's be honest, sometimes the actors all start looking the same to me 😁

My brother is the exact same way—if it isn't in English, he won't watch it...

And man, compared to Watchman, trop de elita was easily the best new movie I've seen in the last two years...

John Taylor19 said:Man, I’m gonna lose it when he hears the news... and he’s only three. Seriously, forget these turtles. I’m basically living their lifestyle at this point—using their shampoo, eating off their plates, even having Donatello hovering over me all day because of that clock on my wall. But now that he’s seen the movie poster? It's game over.🤷
Man, if only we had some female turtles in the mix...

😂😂😂

When we finally left Pittsburgh, all I had was my Leonardo toy. He came with those two little plastic swords, but I managed to lose one of them somewhere along the way...

Man, I was actually tearing up...

I was totally lost after the whole bit about the sword. I honestly thought we were talking about heading down to the coast or something.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2011) in Movies ·
Screenwriter John Fusco is breathing new life into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
He’s already officially signed on for the new flick.

Slowly but surely, scripts are being cooked up for the return of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and their mentor Splinter in a new movie slated for 2011.

Our favorite sewer-dwelling heroes—who basically live for pizza whenever they aren't kicking villain butt—were huge hits back in the early '90s when the New Line Cinema version pulled in over $323 million globally.
The 2007 animated reboot also helped reignite the hype, raking in $95 million for Warner Bros.

I'm sure Fusco can handle all the action sequences just fine.

The guy was a martial arts prodigy by age 12, even training at a Shaolin studio.

He worked on "The Forbidden Kingdom" with Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He also penned the script for the new "The Seven Samurai" for The Weinstein Company.
Other credits under his belt include "Spanish nobleman" and "Young Guns."

Fusco's project arrives right as we hit the 25th anniversary of the turtles, dubbed "Shell-ebration." The festivities wrap up this week at Comic-Con in San Diego, where people are talking about the new movie, digging through old archives, and sorting through scripts and rights from the classic era...

David Price5, the ending actually works because it's the only way we could've ever stood a chance against enemies that advanced...
But yeah, I guess it’s a little weird they didn't check, though honestly, viruses and stuff are always mutating anyway...

Let's not go down that rabbit hole...

The guy thinks the movie is fine but the ending sucks. That's just his take...
Keith Kelly3 said:I wouldn't go along with that—it used to bug me just as much as Saruman’s altered fate—but "cleaning up the Midwest" would have just been action for the sake of action. It would've totally ruined that calm, steady tone one of those powerhouse directors brings to the film... 😁
Plus, you’ve got that example of how it all looks in Galadriel’s Mirror...

I know... 😉
