I personally tie everything from standard hooks to spinners and swivels using a palomar knot. When you're targeting carp, you can just tie that little bit of "hair" for the boilies directly onto the hook eye using some thinner monofilament or braid with a basic knot; since it isn't under any real tension, there's really no need to overcomplicate things.

I actually remember this one online community that issued a one-day suspension just to prevent people from jumping ship. They were clearly trying to look out for their members, but honestly, the whole thing fell apart anyway.

In my experience, slapping someone with a multi-day ban backfires completely. It just triggers this stubborn streak in people—they get defensive and determined to come back just to prove a point. It’s pure psychology.

I really think the minimum ban should be set at 7 days (100 points). Honestly, you can't accurately gauge someone's level of internet addiction in just three days. Every single addiction needs to be addressed and treated before things spiral out of control.
This woman is laying it all out there, speaking quite candidly about the sheer arrogance and lack of basic courtesy shown by certain moderators and admins on this forum. Her point is simple: this community would see a massive boost if the leadership actually learned how to communicate with a little more grace and decency.

Edit: It wouldn't cost them a dime, and the whole forum would be a much better place to hang out.

Look, if you really want to get even, just hijack an admin's cookie. Pretend to be them and then ban the entire group of moderators who are giving you a hard time. 😍 😁

It’s basically the national pastime for mods around here, just tossing private info around like it's nothing.

I’ve actually seen a situation like that happen before—a moderator went ahead and handed out a user's IP address to a regular forum member. It was a pretty massive breach of privacy.

I’ve actually heard some pretty wild rumors floating around about this place. Apparently, a moderator went ahead and handed over their login credentials to a regular member just so that person could get a peek at the private moderator-only sections of the forum. It's definitely one of those stories that makes you shake your head.

Let me get this straight. You write an original poem and post it here for the first time. Then, later on, you decide to put together a published collection of your work, but you can't include that specific poem because it technically belongs to Reddit? Are they seriously going to sue you for using your own writing?

A diagnosis is an incredibly complex thing, and it’s never really a finished chapter.

Please, I beg you, never label yourself with a schizophrenia diagnosis. It’s just a working theory used by clinicians, and honestly, there's no telling how those symptoms might evolve over time. Even the most brilliant psychiatrists in the country couldn't give you a definitive answer on where that path leads.
