jadeseal7 said:First and second were Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost... only a two-second gap. And there wasn't any rain, just to be clear.

Can you actually read? I already explained the conditions to you, yet you’re still stuck on your own nonsense. 🙄

Ayrton Senna was an artist in Formula 1—sometimes a jerk, sometimes a hero—but no modern driver would ever dare deny he was the greatest.

Sure, just like how some people view Fernando Alonso today. What you're writing is a total myth, and the facts back that up.

Claiming someone was "the greatest" is about as arrogant as it gets. 🤮
jadeseal7 said:Ferrari was basically a joke of a team until 1996 😉

Then why didn't Ayrton Senna just join them and turn them into a championship-winning powerhouse? 🤣
jadeseal7 said:If you aren't counting the wet Qualifiying sessions where Ayrton Senna was two seconds faster than Alain Prost, then you clearly don't know much about Formula 1.🤣🤣

🤷 In any other condition, it was strictly down to the cars. There just wasn't that kind of gap in raw driving talent.

Except in the rain. That's my only caveat. 🤷

Someone should get banned for making such idiotic claims.

🙄 Time will tell who was actually being foolish. Simple as that. 😉
David Anderson72 said:it’s pretty obvious you don't have a clue what you're talking about or even which subforum you're posting in, so do everyone a favor and get lost

Don't sweat it. I came here in good faith just trying to share some info. Seems like the local 🙂 can't handle that. If it bothers them, that's their problem. 🙂
David Anderson72 said:Go take a look in the mirror and spit at what you see.

And honestly, the truth doesn't sting me quite as much as it seems to sting you. Clearly.😉
jadeseal7 said:I’ll just say this: how long have you actually been following NASCAR? You clearly don't realize what kind of wreck that Ford was that year, or how much of a miracle it was that Lewis Hamilton managed to pull a win out of it. You haven't a clue. Enjoy it while it lasts; nothing stays this good forever.

Want to check the lap times and race stats for homework? Please, let's look at the data before you start swinging wildly like some guy in a bar fight. 🙄

And as for being a NASCAR fan, I’ve been watching since way back in '92. Based on your tone, I'm guessing you were barely out of diapers when you were hanging out with Colin.
jadeseal7 said:Ayrton Senna was two seconds faster than a legend like Alain Prost in the exact same car during Monaco qualifying... and Prost wasn't exactly Mark Webber.

🙄 Prost never really had the touch in the rain.

What does that prove? Nothing, and certainly not that Senna was a better driver than Prost.

You can say Senna was incredible in the wet. Respect where it's due.

But he’s been turned into this massive myth.

Senna is a DRIVER, whereas Vettel is just a kid playing at it, and there's a huge difference.

Man, you can't judge by the headlines alone. Especially since Vettel is still early in his career; I think your dismissal of the current world champ says a lot.
David Anderson72 said:Calling freedom of speech and thought "North Korea" is quite a stretch. 🤣🙏

Throw in some emojis. It'll make you sound more convincing.

Go back to the beginning of the post and take your time reading. Try to actually process what's being said for once. I'm sure you've mastered that skill by now. Once you're done, come back and try to say something intelligent. 😉
jadeseal7 said:Lewis Hamilton has picked up a few wins, but let's be honest—the Mercedes-Benz isn't exactly anything to write home about.

Lewis only grabbed those wins when the Mercedes-Benz was actually competitive. Just look at the lap times from those two or three races. Don't try to pull one over on me, okay?

Mercedes is struggling at the back right now, so we'll just have to see where Lewis Hamilton actually lands.

Kimi's starting 13th on the grid today.

🤷 We all agreed that Kimi’s Lotus looks like a completely different beast compared to how they used to run. But let's be real—whenever the car struggles on a specific track, Kimi isn't exactly making magic happen either. So, don't try to sell me that nonsense.

I honestly think Fernando Alonso managed a disastrous victory driving that Renault 2008.

A disastrous victory? 🙄

Sebastian Vettel? His only real win was that fluke with Toro Rosso, and honestly, he had a V10 engine back then. The rest were all V8s. He’ll just be remembered as a collection of stats. It’s actually pretty sad watching him rack up titles with an engineered powerhouse instead of having that true driver's edge.

I’d probably be sitting there wondering what we’re actually worth if we get beaten every single time by someone who isn't even a driver. It says more about them than it does about him. 🤣

He’ll be stuck in that spot for a long time, and honestly, I’m fine with that. Nobody actually likes him; maybe five percent of people even care. Those wins he gets? They aren't worth much to anyone.

🙄 If you say so.
Jason Campbell70 said:Look, kid, you really shouldn't let this get under your skin. 😢

Of course it bothers me, since your contribution to this thread is pure trolling. And I’m no bot—the mods can verify that. You're the one trolling here. ☕

Yeah, sure, they've popped up all over the globe...
Just those bitter Ferrari fans who can't handle someone being better than their precious Fernando Alonso.
The audacity, right? 😢

🤣 Well, Ferrari fans are everywhere.

If this race were held in the States, you'd hear the same nonsense from idiots who just can't stomach anyone outperforming their hero, Fernando Alonso. 🙄
David Anderson72 said:Just imagine, people are being idiots because they're obsessing over a driver nobody actually likes.🙏🙏
🙏 🙏

They’re being idiots because they're just as biased and brainwashed as people living in North Korea.

Why don't they like him? Simple. He's spent the last four years snatching titles right out from under their favorite driver's nose.

Good grief, I shouldn't have to explain that to anyone.🙄
jadeseal7 said:It’s because I respect actual driving grit, something Sebastian Vettel just doesn't have. I'm not exactly a fan of Michael Schumacher or Fernando Alonso either, but I respect them as true drivers because they can squeeze blood from a stone. Vettel isn't built that way, and he never will be. If the car is junk, he's junk—that’s how you tell. He’s a decent enough driver to grab a podium without making mistakes, but he lacks passion, and everyone else has noticed that too, judging by how much people love to hate on him globally.

Do you actually know a driver who wins championships without a competitive car? Where’s Lewis Hamilton now? Or where was he when he had a top-tier ride? Look at Michael Schumacher. Look at Fernando Alonso, or even your guy Kimi. Honestly, those arguments feel a bit playground-level to me. 🙄

Seriously, what are you guys tripping on? Who's "hating" on Vettel? The whole crowd? Are you living in some alternate reality? 🙄 We all know exactly who's giving him grief and why. Don't try to sell me your delusions as truth.
Jason Campbell70 said:And so what? The crowd just doesn't care, and honestly, he's making a fool of himself. Mostly because of his actual performance on the track.

Who's ignoring him? 🤣

Mostly those mindless Ferrari fans who let the team mess with their heads. While he's stuck there, they aren't going to see a world championship.

They'll only start paying attention once he actually lands at Ferrari. 🤣
frozenheron7 said:If you follow Formula 1 for more than five minutes, you'd probably realize you can't clock consistent lap times when you're busy fighting to overtake the guy in front of you.

Which drivers did Fernando Alonso actually overtake before the SC? None. All anyone really saw was him falling behind Nico Rosberg, which led his fans to start praying for a crash or an SC just to bunch up the field. Through all that chaos, Ferrari managed to secure P2 for Fernando Alonso.

The fact that he spent ten laps trailing Sergio di Risio pretty much tells you how masterfully he drove today.

It’s the same for everyone else. Hardly anyone made a move on anyone today.

And that silly comment about not watching enough F1? That one's on you.
David Anderson72 said:They act like they're experts, but you can tell from their basic posts they're just frustrated little basement dwellers who finally crawled out of their holes.

All I see is a bunch of bitter fans. Enjoy the salt. 😁

It’s honestly a tragedy that among all the elite drivers currently in Formula 1, the championship goes to this barely above average driver because of the car.

And then you get mad when someone points out you don't know Formula 1 any better than Mara knows... whatever that is. 🤣
Jason Campbell70 said:Besides, doesn't the vibe on this forum say it all? 😁
It's just Vettel—one lone fan and a handful of trolls or glory hunters crawling out of their holes every time Vettel wins.

If the mods actually did their jobs, you wouldn't have been locked out of this PDF like you were before. I can't imagine why they'd bother stripping your permissions. 🙂
frozenheron7 said:So, Kimi scores points just because he’s in a top car, while Vettel wins because he’s a great driver, regardless of what he’s driving?
I don't know what else I'm going to read on here.

Kimi wouldn't be on the podium if Lotus wasn't competitive. Just like Vettel wouldn't have those titles without a solid Red Bull. Then again, a fast car doesn't mean much if you don't have a real driver capable of performing at a high level all season long.

The nonsense you're attributing to me is just the usual stuff people use to try and downplay Vettel's talent.

Which, by the way, already has more titles than Alonso and Kimi combined. 🤣
jadeseal7 said:It’s a massive challenge—having a car that’s two seconds faster per lap and a completely clear track ahead of you, then actually driving it without making a single mistake. That’s what separates the greats. Even Takuma Sato could have handled that. 🤣

Everyone already knew Red Bull Racing would dominate at the US Grand Prix and Japan, and likely a few more races down the road too.

And again, just because he managed to get through without any major mistakes doesn't mean much. It just proves he’s an amateur driver.

The lap times tell the whole story. Even with inferior cars, you can see just how much those lap times are swinging around. ☕
Douglas Parker61 said:Calling the Lotus a brilliant car is just nonsense. It was fast in certain races, sure, but calling it "brilliant" is a stretch.

Look, compared to where they were before, the Lotus was a massive leap forward and definitely the surprise of the season.

What Kimi achieved with it isn't just his talent—it’s because the car itself made a huge jump in every single department.

Saying Kimi was just riding a mediocre car is just a way to overhype him.

Sure, he played a part, but without a car this good, he wouldn't have been on the podium at all. Even so, it wasn't quite top-tier world class.
Look, if you want to go toe-to-toe with me, you need to do your homework first. At least learn the basics. Come back when you actually know what you're talking about and then we can have a real conversation. Until then, you're just trolling.

Go away, little man! ☕
