Most people here probably won't dig the concert, but they'll likely sell plenty of tickets.

Hmm... maybe Lady Gaga? 😁
...or maybe Slayer
honestly, both are better 😁
Totally lost his cool 🙏
Where did that shy, quiet kid go? 😬

Damn 😁

What are you looking for? I already brought up Motorhead in my last post.🥳
Dennis Lee87 said:I’d go for Fleet Foxes too. What else is there? 🙂

My list would include My Morning Jacket (their latest album is killer), William Elliott Whitmore, White Stripes, Soulsavers, Band of Horses, and Crippled Black Phoenix. I wouldn't mind seeing Daft Punk or Massive Attack mentioned either. Honestly, anything goes—just keep Placebo and Muse off my radar. Especially Placebo. 😬
Dennis Lee87 said:So, which bands would you pick? Maybe your dream lineup will actually happen. 🙂

I'd go with Fleet Foxes to kick things off... though Motörhead could work too. 😁

I have to agree with you on this one.😢
If we just stick to what people actually want to hear, at least I'll save some money...
People seem to think their favorite indie scouts deserve a sold-out arena night 🤷
i personally would much rather see a band like Pink Mountaintops get more hype so they could play for massive crowds instead of just a hundred people or so at a small club like The Fillmore 🙂
So, realistically speaking, do you think someone could actually fill up a space larger than The Fillmore? 🤷

And maybe some raiders too. ☕

what kind of dark Interpol business is this...☕
Can someone shoot me a DM with a ballpark figure for Dylan? 😉
amberranger said:Most reporters are getting this wrong too.
And I have no idea where you're getting your info on Dylan. I've seen the actual numbers for both of them, so I know exactly what I'm talking about.

Well, lay those numbers on me then. I'm curious.🙂
I think I read somewhere that there were about 20,000 people, so that's what stuck with me 😉

EDIT: I did a little digging online, and most reporters are saying it was closer to 15,000. Honestly, it doesn't even matter...

By the way, I still stand by my belief that they're cheaper than the Coachella headliners. And they're definitely the most affordable option out of all those big names...
amberranger said:A crowd of 5,000 to 6,000 is way too small for artists who charge that much money.

I was just talking about the bare minimum. Bob Dylan pulled 20,000 people at a show in Austin, and he’s actually cheaper than most of the headliners we've seen at Coachella so far.😉

I have no idea what the booking fees are for Neil Young or Van Morrison, but I'm betting they're a lot more expensive...
The real heavy hitters are always the old school legends... guys like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Van Morrison. Those icons can pull a crowd of at least 5,000 to 6,000 people anywhere they go, no questions asked.
I'm not so sure. I think they were already huge back when they played in Berlin for the second time alongside two other "big" bands. Even then, they barely pulled in 3,000 people. And back in 2001, they only had about 1,500 at the arena...
