There’s a real chance Bob Dylan might make his way to the States..."North American Summer tour including shows in Denver, Austin, Washington, D.C., Salt Lake City, Czech Republic (Prague), the US and Mexico part is almost 100% sure"

Word is he’ll be hitting the big festivals too (like Coachella or Glastonbury this June). Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up headlining Coachella...

Anyway, if the organizers actually cared about profit margins, branding, and drawing a massive crowd, their top pick should have been PLACEBO and SLAYER.

Yeah, Placebo has already proven they are a total money maker... 😁
90s concerts in Canada in Music ·
amberorca192 said:It was exactly like that. When people from Canada saw our crowd of buses filled with the younger crew, they’d just assume some Mexican bands were playing.

That is spot on. 🤣
That little bar near the high school gym in the suburbs never saw as much business as the day the Partybrakers played. If I remember correctly, it was back in 1995.

edit: checked my map, it was actually 1997. 😁
Honestly, the lineup was better last year. This year, though, you just can't beat this weather and the overall vibe... 😁
hehe

Maybe, but I’d just call it having a "good relationship with the boss."😬

coppermarlin81 said:but I don't feel like I missed out on ANYTHING BIG.🤷

Definitely. Yesterday was fine, but if I hadn't gone, I wouldn't have missed anything spectacular.🤷
coppermarlin81 said:everyone is freaking out because they announced those massive IRS audits😳

I won't bring my doctor's note in until I'm actually back at work. My boss doesn't report anything to corporate in the meantime, so HR only finds out I'm on medical leave once I show up again.😬

coppermarlin81 said:nothing going on for the second day of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival???

Nothing. My girlfriend is dealing with some health issues, and I really don't feel like wandering around alone. Plus, today's lineup isn't even that great.😳
What about you?
Or just take a week of sick leave right away... skip all those unnecessary complications 😉 😳
There's no way to cheat the system ☕
Rokia Traoré was hands down the best. That woman has incredible charisma 🙂
Kraftwerk is worth watching once...
Yikes... totally bland, boring, and way too hyped up
Ugh... I'm not a fan, but you have to admit they put on a solid show.
Dimmu Borgir... so much fun. A total circus 🤣
🤮
Gary Baker3 said:Look, I grabbed tickets strictly to see Moby. Honestly, most of the other acts on the lineup aren't even on my radar. But since I'm already going to be there, it feels like a waste not to catch some other sets. Can anyone recommend the absolute essentials? I want to learn the biggest hits from Lily Allen, FF, Kraftwerk, yyy, and Editors, plus NERD, so I can actually sing along. Also, if there are any other performers worth checking out, please let me know.

👋🙂

You're calling that a bomb?
I really hope you guys realize that the odds of Springsteen actually showing up are basically zero.🙂

If they played last year, there's no way they're playing this year... 😬
Two-day festival pass price:

$150 May 1st - June 15th, 2009
$167 June 15th - June 24th, 2009

*Note: tickets will cost an extra $17
on the actual festival days.
Single-day ticket price:
$150 June 15th - June 25th, 2009

*The price stays the same even on the day of the show.

Bottom line... if you grab your ticket by June 15th, you'll only pay $150 😉
Was that before the war? 😁

If it’s your birthday, you should probably cover the round of drinks and the cover charge... 😉
Yeah, that was pretty hilarious 😬

I’m skipping Talking Heads this time. There are way too many concerts happening right now and just not enough cash or free time. I've already seen Talking Heads a few times, so I'm not exactly itching to go. I still vividly remember their show in Austin back in '98 🙂
