dustyridge12 said:Listen, dustyridge12! Here is the exact playlist from my wedding:
Before the ceremony, while everyone is getting settled and the groomsmen are lighting candles:
1) Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
2) Bob Dylan - Every Grain of Sand
The bride's entrance:
3) The Beatles - In My Life (my own remix with an extended instrumental part for extra drama)
Handing over the bride and lighting the candle:
4) Fairport Convention - Now Be Thankful
After the kiss:
5) A traditional folk dance, though I really pushed for Dolly Parton / Kenny Rogers - Islands in the Stream. The bride wasn't having it.
Congratulating guests and clearing out the chapel (my favorite part):
6) The Gun Club - Sex Beat

As for this year—so far, it's a total bust in my book.

Flogging Molly and Massive put on absolutely killer shows. Honestly, seeing Flogging Molly perform alone makes the whole trip worth it.
If anyone can jump on stage and play, then let’s go. $100 Two days of nonstop music and good times is more than worth the price of admission. You can knock back that many drinks in a single night if you really want to. Stop complaining—it’s not even that much.
