They’ve overhauled the interface more than a few times before, so I guess we'll eventually just get used to it.
Oh, I am well aware. But there is a massive difference between when they introduce changes gradually, bit by bit, or perhaps just a few tweaks here and there, versus when they suddenly decide to completely overhaul the entire aesthetic at once. I am not merely referring to Facebook, but rather to the user experience on any website you might visit.
In that case, I believe I shall depart from Facebook; after all, I cannot recall the last time I actually composed an original thought there. My activity has been limited to nothing more than offering birthday wishes or occasionally liking a friend's post.
It is certainly something one can live without. I am only asking this on behalf of some truly oblivious friends of mine.
I have been aware of the Ctrl and scroll wheel combination for quite some time—specifically, using Ctrl plus the plus or minus keys.
Is there any way at all for us to permanently restore the classic Facebook layout on our computers? Facebook has announced that they will only support the old interface until the end of September, and if anyone wishes to switch back to the classic look, that option is only available for a 48-hour window. Once September passes, the ability to revert will be gone forever.
Could it be arranged so that whenever I launch Chrome, Opera, or Mozilla, they automatically run a script that forces Facebook to display the classic version on my desktop indefinitely?
Might there be some other method to achieve this same goal?
I am asking because for those who are blind or have severe visual impairments, any change to the interface design of a website or software we rely on presents an enormous challenge. Any assistance would be deeply appreciated.

Which white building are you referring to? Is it the oldest one, or perhaps the one situated right next to the green building?
And where exactly are these triage containers located? Are they spread out across several spots, or does it depend on which hospital department a patient needs to visit?
I am looking to transfer away from my current General Practitioner, so I approached a nurse working the opposite shift alongside the other doctor to see if I could join their practice instead. She turned me down, mentioning that I would need to submit some sort of formal statement, though she wouldn't clarify to whom. On top of that, she said I’d have to drive to a nearby city just to handle the paperwork. Neither she nor the other physician will take me on because both teams are already stretched far too thin with patients. Since we are in a rural area where everyone knows everyone, doctors tend to rotate through quite frequently.
She didn't specify who this statement needs to be presented to, or whether it must be submitted in writing. It seems likely that I will have to account for my decision to both my current GP and the one I hope to join.
But why on earth would I be required to carry physical documents to a different city? I feel far too weak to undertake such a trip right now.
I want to sever ties with him because he has made two significant errors regarding my care. During my last visit, I described symptoms of an illness—which would take far too long to list here—and out of sheer anxiety, I asked, "Doctor, could this perhaps be [this specific] condition?" To be clear, I wasn't making a definitive diagnosis; I was merely expressing a concern. Yet, the moment the words left my mouth, he flew into a complete rage.
He consistently belittles his other patients as well, snapping at them and dismissing them as mere hypochondriacs.

I was right in the middle of some work and just had to quickly confirm that I was granting the extension permission to access my browsing data to view the sites I've visited—but the fine print was incredibly tiny, at least for someone like me who struggles with vision. By the time I realized what was happening and hit confirm, the installation was already finished.
I am not quite in the mood to try downloading any videos right this second, so I will let you know in a day or two if it actually works. Hopefully, it does.
I am searching everywhere for the download icon, but it simply isn't there. Every other feature offered by the extension is visible, yet the download option is missing. That specific button should have appeared either at the top of the video player or at the bottom alongside the other icons, but it is nowhere to be found. I attempted to locate the basic instructions by clicking HERE, but they aren't listed there, even though I distinctly remember seeing them yesterday.
I have successfully installed the extension for Chrome. I was occupied with some other tasks and merely needed to provide one final confirmation allowing the extension access to my data so it could monitor my browsing history—but the fine print was far too minuscule, at least for someone with my poor eyesight. By the time I realized what was happening and clicked confirm, the download had already finished in an instant.
I am not quite up to attempting any video downloads right now; I shall update you in a day or two regarding whether it works. Hopefully, everything functions as intended.
Here is a Chrome extension that lets you download any video you want directly from YouTube automatically. Just check out the "How to Install" section, set it up, and download as much as your heart desires.
To grab the extension, simply click on the crossmode install button. The installation process is all explained right there in the video.
It has been downloading for such an eternity now, and I cannot seem to get it finished and installed at last; did you experience a similar delay on your end?
Lisa Mendoza27 said:This is the easiest way to go about it; you can do it from your computer or your phone. this website https://ytmp3.cc/en13/ just paste the link, and before you hit download, click on mp4 so it downloads the video instead. Once you do that, some ads will pop up, but you just close them. Anyway, that's how I've been downloading stuff for a long, long time.
When I try following your instructions to download a video from YouTube, I get this message: An error occurred (code: 2-2).
Please try to convert another video by clicking here or try to download it here.
I didn't click any of those links the site suggested.
My God, everything was so much simpler back in mid-to-late 2015, wasn't it? Back then, YouTube wasn't constantly blasting ads at you.
Why don't they just offer a simple solution: log in and you're allowed to download, say, 2-3 gigabytes of video per month without all the advertisements, and that's it? They claim to be protecting copyright, yet it seems the actual creators are the ones being most neglected in this whole ordeal.

Because trying to stumble onto actual truth through pure speculation is damn near impossible. I mean, sure, it happens, but it's like winning the Powerball when you're one in a million.
Not necessarily just one, but every single one of them has to be a pure servant of God.
They're just being carried by good karma.
And once that karma runs out, they crash hard into depression and end up chasing a high just to feel something again.
Maya is riding on Krishna's back, which means if you're truly looking at Krishna, you won't see the Maya.
Furthermore, isn't it true that Maya is merely a humble servant to Krishna? If He were to command her—to release someone from her grasp or to diminish her influence over a particular soul—would she not obey Him with absolute devotion?

Thomas Nelson25 said:Honestly, most people don't even know their own purpose—they're just happier when they let life take the wheel and go with the flow.
If you're out there actively hunting for meaning, you haven't found it yet. There's always something getting in the way.
Every individual who exerts such immense energy to hunt for life's meaning is actually being obstructed by a massive force known in India as Maya, which Christians refer to as the Devil.
For me, I simply cannot exist without this pursuit of purpose. To my eyes, those who merely drift through life seem nothing more than parachutists caught in the wind.
Please forgive my intrusion with such an elementary inquiry.
How does one go about downloading a video from YouTube? I attempted to utilize VLC media player, yet it proved unsuccessful. I also tried directly through Opera—version 76, if I recall correctly—but that too failed to yield results.
In a final attempt, I installed a free YouTube downloader, but upon double-clicking to launch the application, it simply refuses to open.
I am currently running Norton Antivirus along with some sort of ad blocker; could it be possible that these programs are interfering with the process?
I recall a time when a specific YouTube downloader worked perfectly for me; I would simply download, install, and everything functioned seamlessly. I have always been quite fond of using older versions of software. I attempted to run an older iteration of this particular program, but my antivirus immediately deleted all the setup files associated with it.

And please, don't lecture me—gurus have existed in Hinduism since forever.
I believe this is a long-term unhealthy religious phenomenon. It pushes the psychological regressiveness already found in religious groups to an extreme, trapping people in a perpetual illusion of security through a childish relationship with pseudo-parental figures, which ultimately prevents them from reaching full maturity and responsibility.
Seriously, why would anyone walk away from a warm, loving home where everything is perfect just to go chase some spiritual teacher?
No kid in their right mind would ever do that.
Wait, so what? You're saying hell is actually a great place and we shouldn't be scared of it, but instead we should head down there to find spirituality? That theory is a massive stretch.
To me, it just makes sense that someone passes on their own knowledge; they aren't going to pass on someone else's.
I suspect that isn't actually the case.
From what I understand, there is a sect in Bengal known as the Baula, a group of somewhat unorthodox Vaišnavas who are heavily criticized and rejected by many others in India who fall outside that circle.
One of their songs begins roughly like this:
"That is why, brother, I became an impulsive baul, refusing to follow the commands of any master."
I cannot recall the specific mood I was in when I read that poem, only that the book was written in our language.
If they truly do not follow the dictates of a master, choosing instead to live by the whims of their own intuition, aligning themselves with nature through impulse and acting purely on their own volition—much like a wind that shifts unpredictably from one direction to another—then, of course, they possess no guru at all.

silverheron91 said:Honestly? It’s been incredibly tough. Growing up, I was basically the "gifted kid" everyone pointed to, but everything kind of crumbled during my teens when those first signs of personality disorders and psychosis started creeping in.
Then, in my early 20s, I felt like my brain was finally waking back up. I was hitting my stride, really pushing myself intellectually. I spent my days buried in books, tackling complex problems, just trying to build a solid, productive life. But then—and this is the kicker—the downward spiral started, and it hasn't really stopped since.
It happened so fast. One minute I had the whole nine yards—a career, college, a solid circle of friends, hobbies, you name it. Three weeks later, I was being hospitalized. I lost everything. They put me on 6 Modern and eventually sent me home feeling like a total zombie.
🕺
My heart truly goes out to you, and I feel the same deep sympathy for Olivia Smith2.

Look, I was never really much of a party girl. Back when things were going well, I loved heading out with friends or old high school teachers to catch a play or an art exhibit. I've always preferred hanging with older crowds who actually knew more about art than I did.
And since you mentioned drinking alone... Well, I hate to disappoint you, but you aren't the only one. I do it a lot. Actually, contradicting everything I just said, I did go to my cousin's birthday party recently. But it was such a snooze-fest; they were all just talking about diapers and toddler milestones. I ended up ditching them to hang out with the older folks in the house for a bit. Even when I walked into Babakao, they were still stuck on topics about their kids and husbands. I grabbed a couple of Helex, downed a bottle of Jägermeister, and as soon as it slid down my throat, I suddenly had enough inspiration to carry a whole monologue. They actually listened to me intently. 🎉
And what was the subject of this monologue?
Olivia Smith2 said:Hey everyone—just wanted to share an update. My doctor lowered my dose of aripiprazole from 10 mg down to 5 mg, and after a little while, I’m actually feeling quite a bit better. My cognitive clarity is returning, and I finally feel more like my old self again.
It’s only now becoming crystal clear just how much of a necessary evil these medications really are. It breaks my heart that so many of us have to rely on them, but hopefully, there's some small comfort in knowing you aren't alone. Isn't it true that struggling with your mental state is often just a side effect of being on antipsychotics—even something like aripiprazole?
About four months ago, I mentioned that over the next year or two, I plan to significantly scale back my presence here—though I won't be disappearing entirely. I also intended to follow far fewer threads; perhaps the topic of schizophrenia will be one of those I let go, or perhaps it won't... However, I simply could not resist sharing a link to an article discussing the possibility that individuals living with schizophrenia may suffer from underactive thyroid function. It suggests that supplementing with high amounts of natural animal-based thyroid extracts combined with Niacin (Vitamin B3) might lead to a significant mitigation of symptoms, potentially reducing the reliance on antipsychotics.
The text is actually a continuation of a study from 2000. The author utilizes various citations to support his claims, so one might argue the piece leans toward confirmation bias. Yet, in today’s chaotic landscape where the medical focus remains almost exclusively on prescribing antipsychotics, the idea of complementary treatments—such as using high doses of B vitamins or other specific nutrients to alleviate symptoms—is often dismissed by our doctors as if it were mere superstition... It is certainly worth reading the opposing perspective. We are fortunate to have doctors like ours and to live in a country where importing high-dose vitamin B supplements is permitted. If they aren't available, then when they are, they are at least 60-70 percent more expensive than they used to be.
There are several other articles on this subject available on that website.
I should just add one thing... the reason I stated I would be less active for a year or two is that I have to babysit my energetic little nieces every single day. Fortunately, I don't actually have to watch them every day after all, since their mother and father take turns looking after them too. So, I only watch them every other day. Regardless, the responsibility is quite taxing, and furthermore, my interest in political discussions—which was a major driver behind my high post count—has waned almost completely.
However, my interest in the subject of schizophrenia has not faded, so I will still be lurking and reading through your posts from time to time.
I am stepping away from this forum for a year or two. The reason is that I will need to step in to care for my young nephews, my sister's sons. Both my sister and her husband work full-time, and in our small rural town, there isn't a single daycare center to be found. My brother-in-law’s sister, who had been helping us watch them on a rotating basis, just got married. His other sister, who also helped out for quite some time, works in Chicago, and his mother has made it very clear that she has no intention of watching them—period. Consequently, the entire burden of childcare is going to fall squarely on me and my mother.
Since I live with a disability, my sister and brother-in-law have agreed that they will assist me with my needs once my mother passes away.
Given that, in addition to my severe visual impairment, I struggle with several other health issues, I simply won't have any energy left after watching the children for even a few hours; for the rest of the day, I'll be completely exhausted. Therefore, I won't be able to participate here nearly as much as I have in the past.
In about two years, both boys will start school, and things should become much more manageable.
I will return then to resume our community. In truth, I won't vanish entirely; rather, I will drastically reduce my activity on the forum. I plan to focus only on four or five of the most interesting threads, mostly those related to health. Will schizophrenia be one of those topics? Perhaps, perhaps not. I haven't made a definitive decision yet. Even if it isn't, please don't assume I've lost interest! On the contrary! It is simply that I won't have the time to be as present here as I am now.
I am going to miss you all dearly over these next two years, and I truly hope that I might be missed by some of you as well. Thank you for such a long and wonderful period of friendship and cooperation.
While skimming through some older threads today, I happened upon a truly fascinating debate involving Newman, Delmin, and myself regarding Omega 3 EPA/DHA fatty acids
I have been doing some digging into "CBD resin." Honestly, the prices are absolutely astronomical—we're talking on par with high-end organic milk. To make matters even more questionable, much of it is being extracted from industrial hemp, which is technically legal to grow. It seems they utilize these incredibly complex extraction processes, supposedly involving cold CO2. Should we really be paying such a premium for wellness? Is it not true that one must choose between owning a flashy sports car, a massive 4K TV, and the latest flagship smartphone, or simply investing in one's own health? Isn't it inevitable that chasing those superficial trifles will eventually come back to haunt you? Only then does one truly realize the profound importance of physical well-being.
But the truth is, I am at a complete loss; what sort of sorcery or impossible feat would it take for me to actually acquire this resin? I am currently between jobs and certainly don't waste my money on those aforementioned luxuries, yet even so, it remains completely out of reach.
