Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
I ended up popping over to my neighbor's place, and she just went to town on my makeup, doing her absolute best to get me ready

I mean, I guess I was supposed to have a total meltdown and call off the whole wedding just because she couldn't make it, right?

Just wanted to drop a little heads-up here because I'm feeling kind of bummed about it—Victoria from Victoria Make Up didn't even bother to call or show up on the wedding day,
so I just wanted to let you guys know so you don't get caught off guard by any last-minute surprises.

Hey Kenneth Bailey48, I'm actually heading over to the thrift store tonight so I might run into you, but if not, I'll be around that suburban neighborhood on Wednesday and could probably drop it off then 😉, since you know we really need to get this shopping done together eventually 😂
Just shoot me a private message with your cell number and maybe a photo of the specific spool you want me to hunt for
Alternatively, if you'd rather have me pick up your own after September 3rd, we can do that too—though I’m honestly thinking about grabbing a smaller spool just because it might be a little easier to carry around while I'm walking
I remember asking those florists for some baskets a while back

Thanks, I think I'll try to get in touch with them and see what's up

I think staying somewhere near St. Louis or maybe even closer to the Midwest would probably work best for me, since the wedding is all the way out in the mountains, and I feel like everyone else would just absolutely skin me alive if I had to pay for all that extra travel too

I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a good beverage distributor out in the Midwest? Ideally, I’m looking for someone who wouldn't mind us settling up the tab after the wedding is over, and it’s super important to me that we can return any leftover drinks we don't end up using!

?? Well, you're gonna have to tell me which city we're even talking about first

Hey casualeagle732, I was wondering if you could maybe give me a recommendation for a good makeup artist and someone who does hair?

Ryan Parker38, whoever you managed to track down, please give us the scoop!

I’ve gotta say, I have a bit of a negative take on Victoria too. It’s been about a month now and she just won't get back to me on Facebook or via my cell, even though I’m pretty sure I sent her at least ten different messages asking her to confirm she was still coming—but I haven't heard a single word back from her.
As far as Ann goes, I honestly think she’s wonderful, but I guess her prices are just a little bit steep for me. 😢

I was checking out prices over in a town like Orašje, and honestly, I guess they aren't even that much different from what we see here at home!

So, I’m on the hunt for a good makeup artist and a hairstylist over in Dakota, and I’m feeling a little lost! I tried doing a quick search on Google, and it suggested Mary Baker for makeup, which seems okay, I guess, but when it comes to finding someone great for my hair, I haven't got a clue where to start. Does anyone have any solid recommendations they could share?

Just wanted to vent for a second... I stopped by that jeweler, Bauman, over at Emerson... and honestly? What a letdown. Everything I asked for was a "no." You go to a custom jeweler who doesn't even keep stock on hand, only to find out they can't actually design anything more interesting than a basic ring you could pick up at any mall. I really expected more from them. 😢What a waste of time.
Does anyone know a decent custom jeweler around here or maybe in NYC that won't charge me an absolute fortune?

We actually picked ours up in Aurora,$833! Maybe try sending him an email with some photos? That way you can ask for a rough price estimate and see if he's actually up for the task

Have you noticed how tiny those flower girl dresses actually are?

I think a new little dessert shop just opened up over by the outskirts of Chicago, and I noticed they’ve been running ads for all these fancy cakes and pastries. Maybe since they're the new kids on the block, they might have some opening specials or discounts running? It wouldn't hurt to go check it out and see what's what, I guess.

I mean, honestly, in my experience here in the States, everything usually wraps up by midnight, or maybe even one in the morning at the very latest.

Which one of you foodies is actually going to eat all this? 😬
I think I follow what you guys are getting at, but honestly, I just don't see the logic in it! I mean, if you’ve already got the table set with decorations, drinks, and the main course everyone is busy eating, why on earth would you cram even more sweets in there (even if they are on their own separate little dessert table)? I guess it's just wild to me that someone would feel the need to wolf down a whole dessert right between the soup and the roast—metaphorically speaking, of course—and I really can't wrap my head around where you'd even fit them in if you're already serving an appetizer!

It’s mostly just tradition, I guess; I haven't really seen it done any other way anywhere else

Around here, I guess we usually serve the little pastries right after the main course but before the big cake, though we typically have coffee alongside those sweets before dinner even starts

Whatever happened to the Corridor project? It seemed like things were finally moving along, but then everything just kind of stalled out, and honestly, I’m still totally lost on where those little girls' dresses ended up.
P.s. I remember people used to talk quite a bit about this makeup artist named Daria who works over at S&P Global—does anyone happen to have any inside scoop on her?
