Or you could just flip through their online catalog to see what's available—it's got all the pricing listed for things like men's coats, and I think there are some helpful guides in there too, if I remember correctly. http://www.yeti.com/katalog.pdf
So, I ended up going ahead and picking the El Paso deal without even knowing exactly what I was getting into 😂 ,but honestly, after reading all your glowing reviews and scrolling through those Facebook photos—not to mention seeing them snag first place at the state fair and everything—I just thought, what the heck, I have to pick someone eventually! I gave the girls a call and transferred the deposit directly into my checking account, and then I'll just head down to sign the actual contract when I finally make it in 🙂 Maybe Waldo will feel generous enough to let me have a turn at the tombola too 😁
Look, I don’t have anything against a classic Cabernet Sauvignon or a nice Merlot, really, I don't, but I just don't see the point in paying a massive premium for some big-name label just because they spent a fortune on marketing and fancy branding. I honestly feel like I could probably find a much better bottle at a local boutique vineyard or even just through a private seller for the exact same price
Hey everyone, my partner and I are actually looking to buy some wine directly from a winery or a local producer. We just aren't really feeling the typical distributor deals we see lately—it always feels like you're paying a premium for blends like Merlot or Cabernet where you don't even know the actual origin of the grapes, which feels a bit dishonest if you ask me. So, I was wondering if anyone might have some good recommendations? We'd love to find a specific vineyard, or maybe even just some individuals who sell their own private labels or small batches
I was wondering about the girls who went to meet with Jak and visited those exclusive spots in El Paso—what’s the word on how that went? I noticed some of the local women there are handing out gifts this month, so I guess things might be looking up.
I’m not exactly sure how to resize this image, so I guess I’ll just drop the link here instead this will most likely be ours http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...49117701777036 I really love the look of the candles on it, honestly—I've never been much of a fan of those spray-on finishes anyway, she’s asking $533, which makes me wonder... do you guys think that's a bit steep???🤷
jadetiger7 said:I’ve been catching up on your posts, but I’m pretty new to this forum. Our wedding is set for May 28th, and we booked the Lucy venue in Indianapolis. I’ve seen some negative reviews online, but a lot of my friends have married there and they were all thrilled. For music, we’re doing a mix of a DJ and a live band. We ordered the cake from Grandma's Creek, though I have to say Sweetie is also great—I used to get my treats there when I lived in Pittsburgh. I decided to get my wedding dress at Mira's boutique in Diamond; the selection is amazing, and they’re even throwing in 100 free invitations from FedEx, which has a great collection. For thank-you notes, we’re thinking about magnets featuring our photo and date, or maybe a fun little caricature of us instead. We’re putting guests up at the Verizon hostel, where we secured a rate of $42 per person. For entertainment, we’ll have a DJ paired with a live band and radio personalities. We hired Lepida Wedding Planning out of Pittsburgh, and she’s handling the flowers through Dade in Pittsburgh, though my first choice was actually Freesia and Blanche before I found her. The coordinator is wonderful and is just bursting with ideas. She actually helped me save money on several things, like the guest book station—we're doing a DIY foam board setup above the head table. She even offered us a chocolate fondue station for a tiny price. If anyone knows of a good lighting company outside of what we found in Pittsburgh, please send me their number—and if you’ve found any great deals on wedding bands, let me know! 🙂
Maybe try looking up Rasvjeta for weddings (MarMa Light) on Facebook? They're based out of Indianapolis.
casualfalcon15 said:I’ve even heard people saying you can order wedding dresses off eBay now. Apparently, they're dirt cheap.
I actually came across some local boutique designers recently and I really love their style, though I guess we'll just have to wait and see how their pricing holds up. 🙂 As for those eBay dresses, there's actually a whole thread on this forum dedicated to online shopping, so you might want to check that out; honestly, I'm thinking about placing an order myself too.
casualfalcon15 said:Well, everyone has their own opinion, and people will choose whatever fits their budget and taste. Personally, I visited the venue where Jaka worked; it was fine, but it felt a bit cheap to me. Way too much greenery and not enough actual flowers. I saw Exclusivity at a trade show and got a recommendation. As for the rumor about them outsourcing? That sounds like nonsense; I have no idea where you heard that. Honestly! I plan on visiting both Jaka and Exclusivity, so we'll see 😁
Does Exclusivity have a website or anything online? I've been searching everywhere but can't find a single thing. It feels kind of hard to believe, honestly, that in this day and age—when you can basically advertise for free online whenever you want—a business wouldn't have even a basic page or something? It's not like we all live right next door to them and can just pop in!
casualfalcon15 said:Not sure if any of you made it out to the wedding expo... I spent the whole day wandering through every single booth. My top picks 🙂 were definitely—the floral design studio, which was absolutely stunning (easily the best setup there), and the dessert table—homemade cookies that tasted just like my grandma used to make. As for travel, their "honeymoon" package (they won an award for the best promo material) totally blew me away 🙂. For men's suits, check out Arbanas. Honestly, though, I couldn't find anything decent for dresses, lighting, or a solid photographer. Still, I'm pretty happy with the expo overall since I nailed down the flowers and the sweets (though my mom and mother-in-law are going to have to do a taste test first, haha) 🙂. One less thing to worry about 🙂
So, my mom went over the other day to drop off a deposit for the dessert order, and they gave her two little half-pound boxes of sample sweets (one for her and one for my mother-in-law). Well, she hadn't even been home for thirty minutes before my brothers managed to sneakily devour both entire boxes! I guess that's a pretty good sign that they're delicious, right? Now the poor lady is in a total bind because she has absolutely nothing left to bring to the meeting 😂
Jamie Gonzalez, I honestly think you crushed it at $600! I was wondering, how much were you charging for the table arrangements, or more specifically, how many tables did you actually manage to cover? I’m thinking I might need to handle around 40, and I’d really love to have at least a little something on every single one of them
Jamie Gonzalez said:🤣 Elvis Presley played for me too; they were absolutely fantastic 🙏
as for me, I'll be listening to some sax 🙂 I think this is my first time ever hearing about this Jack??? Maybe someone could share a bit more info, like prices or maybe even some pictures?
Nancy Cook51 said:Has anyone ever ordered cookies from that small town, USA? I was wondering what they cost per pound—and whether delivery is an extra charge or if it's included.
Well, I’m actually from that area, and I honestly can't recommend them enough—I always make sure to get their treats for weddings! Usually, a pound would run you about $18, and cakes are around $150, though I'm not quite sure about the pricing for bridal shower orders. Here is their link though, maybe you could just reach out to them directly and ask. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Domaci...49117701777036
Has anyone here ever actually hired a wedding coordinator? I was wondering if you guys might have some experiences or maybe even a few recommendations to share
I figured I’d bump this thread back up a bit, maybe see if there are any ladies from the Midwest in here and I guess I’ll ask again—has anyone actually had any experience with the local greenery or whatever they call that specific salad over in the Greater Savannah area?
