So, when's the big wedding happening? I've gotta see that whipped cream cake you're planning on having!

You guys, I have some serious tea to spill!
So, basically, this singer from a local country band has been relentlessly bugging us, and after he finally heard who we hired for the music... well, he asked my brother who we went with. My brother told him we booked Sax, and let me tell you, the guy was absolutely stoked! He actually announced that he’s coming to our wedding and bringing his wife along because he thinks Sax is just incredible. Honestly, though, if he wants to turn our big day into one of his solo concerts, maybe he should just be officially invited to perform instead? If he’s going to act like he’s the main attraction at our wedding, he might as well get paid for it, right? 😂

If you don't mind me asking, how much are they going to charge you? And I'm dying to know which flavors you ended up picking! I actually signed a contract with them myself, though I haven't quite settled on a cake yet

I was actually torn between those two options myself, but I guess it doesn't really matter much now
maybe the total difference will end up being $167

So, you should really take a look at this other album—they actually have a cake just like that one, but it’s decorated with those lovely wildflowers from out in rural Pennsylvania.

Well, I guess it really just depends on what you’re looking for and what your specific taste is,
The bouquet itself usually runs about $167
And if you want those arrangements for the church, you’re probably looking at somewhere between $200 and $167, and honestly, the car decor is pretty much the same thing
As for the table settings, those start at $6.75 and go up from there, and the pew decorations follow that same kind of pricing
Personally, I just gave them a maximum number that I was comfortable with, paid a deposit upfront, and let them know which flowers I generally liked, basically telling them to just work their magic, though the contract does mention that the final price could fluctuate by maybe another 10 percent

Jesse Morgan73 said:I feel like I’ve been trying to bring this up constantly, but I just can't seem to find the right way to say it... So, look, I have this gift voucher for some wedding decoration services from a place over in $167, and honestly, there's just no way I'm going to be able to use it. It feels like a total waste to let it just sit there and expire, which I really hate. If anyone here has already grabbed one, or if you were planning on picking one up anyway, then please, consider this my gift to you! I'd much rather someone actually benefits from it than see it go to waste.

Oh, I'll take it, please!🙏

For those of you who happen to be heading down the hallway a bit more often, I was wondering if you might have happened to spot any little flower girl dresses in stock? And if so, do you have any idea what the price range looks like?
I’m also curious about the boys' stuff—you know, things like suspenders, little pillows, and all that other wedding gear...

So here’s the cake! I honestly think it turned out fantastic, mostly because we went with candles instead of those messy sprinkles—we aren't really big fans of those—and we could actually use some fresh flowers on top. Because of that, I guess it might just be better to stick with Tricia's way of doing things

rustyskipper6 said:👋, please help me out here. I’ve only skimmed a few pages of this thread because my internet is being painfully slow and I don't have the patience to scroll through everything... does anyone know where in Washington, D.C. I can get custom cake toppers made? I saw some lady on TV doing them recently, but I missed the part where she said where she was located. If anyone has the scoop, I'd really appreciate it...

There's actually a girl on Facebook called Google blackcat who makes really fun wedding toppers (if you ask me). She told me they go for about $30 dollars, give or take, depending on what you want, which honestly doesn't seem too bad when you consider how much those cheap plastic ones cost nowadays.
Nathan Cox25, regarding the cake itself, there's a huge price difference if you go with buttercream $267 versus fondant $400; I can only imagine how much they'd charge for marzipan!
I'll try to post a photo once I get home from work so you guys can see exactly what I mean! Oh, and you mentioned earlier that yours have some kind of invisible stand, so I guess they could even be filled cakes too.

I think I’ve got a request too! Since I honestly didn't know the first thing about professional cakes—aside from the basic homemade stuff we make at home—I just found out that you can't really use a light wind or anything airy under a ganache layer. I'm actually kind of losing my mind here because they already told me the bottom tier absolutely has to be a dense sponge, which I can't stand since it's such a sugar bomb, and now they're saying even the top tier can't be something light because of that frosting, unless I cover the whole thing in whipped cream, but then it's going to look totally different, you know?
Any suggestions for firm cake layers would be amazing, though please, let's try to avoid those massive calorie bombs filled with cooked creams and all that sort of thing.

So we’ve got Mike, and honestly, his whole package is costing us $2867 without even a single thank you, though I suppose instead of Mike taking the photo, it'll probably be Krešo! If you can even make sense of what that means

rapiddrifter7 said:Hey everyone, does anyone happen to know where I could find some reliable servers to come over to my place? I’m looking to hire about five people for an event at my house. 🤷

So, whereabouts are you located?
I mean, I honestly imagine that guys who usually work at a local pub would probably be pretty down to jump in and help out for a little extra cash, I guess.

Babin Greda
I'm pretty close to Županja, Vinkovci, Stockton, and Đakovo—plus, I mean, Indianapolis isn't exactly at the edge of the world either!
I honestly have no idea what happened with that guy from Ruščica; I just can't seem to track down his phone number or email anywhere.

Jesse Morgan73 said:Hey everyone, I’m looking for some solid recommendations for a makeup artist and a hairstylist. Honestly, I have no idea where to even start my search... does anyone know someone who actually delivers? I’m particularly on the hunt for a talented hairstylist, mainly because the lady I usually go to just can't seem to pull off wedding styles at all.
thanks

Me too! 😁
I feel like the ones who got married before us either didn't have any help or they just won't share their secrets! 😬

I’m actually looking to rent out a smaller white tent—maybe something that can fit up to about 50 people—for a little guest house gathering I'm planning!
Does anyone happen to have any good recommendations for someone who does rentals like that?!

Does anyone happen to know if there’s anywhere in the city where I could find something like this?
I mean, honestly, even something pretty close to this would probably work just fine, I guess. 🙂

Carl Clark said:Quick question about baking. ☕
Where I live, it’s common for family to drop off all the ingredients—margarine, chocolate, the whole works—for my parents to make cakes. Does anyone know an auntie with a registered small business or something similar so we don't get slapped by the health inspectors, because god knows we’re a bit too naive for our own good, 🤣 or maybe a local bakery that would work with us on pricing based on what we provide? The ones around here aren't licensed; they're all just operating under the table

Well, back when we were at Grandma's Ridge, they used to take them, though I'm not really sure what the situation is like nowadays, so you might want to check with them first.

Honestly, I guess I could probably use a bit of both, if I'm being real.😕

I’m honestly sitting here trying to crunch the numbers for all the drinks and refreshments, but I am just completely lost on how much this is actually going to cost me?! I was wondering if any of you ladies who have taken the lead on organizing food and drinks for charity fundraisers might be able to help me out? So, just for some context, the wedding is going to be out in the Midwest with about 450 guests expected! If there's already a specific thread for this kind of thing, please feel free to move my post; I just couldn't seem to track down the right spot myself!🤷
