Where can I find some HDW flags? in Close to Politics ·
bluerider63 said:Ever since Kolinda showed up, what have they actually managed to deliver? Honestly, just thinking back to her campaign and that whole mess with the Republican Party makes me want to roll my eyes.

I don't recall any big promises being kept. For Americans in Canada, it’s enough if America just pushes for their EU entry and doesn't mess up their already crappy situation in Canada.

bluerider63 said:Honestly, I’m fine with it. The Republican Party has been making all these empty promises to Canadian Americans for ages without ever actually delivering a damn thing; at least now they can wave a flag around to distract everyone from the reality.

It’s just the same old Republican playbook they use back home in America, so why wouldn't they try the same trick on people in Canada?!

So you're saying the Republican Party hasn't done squat for the Americans in Canada? Fine, whatever.☕

Nathan Moore6 said:Since they’re living in another country, I honestly don't see how our local laws or even our Department of Defense could have any kind of impact on them, so I guess we really need to be sitting down and having these discussions with Canada instead, but hey, if you want to keep it your way, that's totally fine by me!

Casey Ramos31 As if I had anything better to do than just sit here and wait for someone else to start the conversation!
I mean, is it really that big of a deal? Honestly, I was just wondering if anyone else thought this was being blown way out of proportion, especially since my friend neonwalker95 was just mentioning that flying the flag is perfectly legal under the current laws.

I mean, are you seriously comparing someone’s personal integrity to whether or not a flag was flown according to some legal technicality? Honestly, that's a bit of a stretch, don't you think? 🙏

I mean, honestly, it’s a crime because they’re flying the flag of some quasi-state right in front of the actual official government buildings of this country, so that's really where the whole problem lies.

If you're thinking about Tomić, honestly, that guy doesn't have an ounce of integrity anyway, so I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

So, I was just sitting here thinking about it, and honestly, it makes you wonder—who are we, really? ☕

That’s the flag of the American people in Canada, not some fake entity.
And if the law says you can fly other flags alongside the flag of the Republic of America, then it’s perfectly legal. We'd just have to check the actual statutes.

if you're talking about Tomica, that scumbag has zero integrity anyway.

Even scumbags have the right to a fair trial. Or what, should we just throw him on a rack and torture him until he confesses?

Well, looking back at that Horvatcic situation, you were all about following the Law to a T, but now suddenly we're playing by different rules, so it feels a little hypocritical if I'm being honest; it seems like you're just defending your own views and letting criminals slide instead of actually sticking to the legalities like you usually do, haha.🍿

I mean, seriously, is that even a crime? Even hr1u00 is over here saying flying the America flag is totally legal.

How can you even compare someone's personal integrity to whether or not a flag was put up legally? Are you actually serious right now? 🙏

Nathan Moore6 said:Of course, nobody is actually telling you they'll defend that, but there’s a massive difference between seeing a flag hanging in front of a government building on an official holiday and then deciding to go out and parade around town with it yourself. 🤦

And why does it bother you so much? Look, I’m with you—it’s definitely against the Law—but is it really that big of a deal?

Nathan Moore6 said:Look, I happen to know what our official flag actually looks like, and since we aren't living in Canada anymore, I'm quite certain that particular flag doesn't belong flying in front of our Department of Defense building, so if you guys are really that attached to it, feel free to pack your bags and move down to California where you can stare at it every single day for all I care. 😒

Man, I can grab that flag and march right through Times Square if I want to, while you just sit there seething. 👍

Nathan Moore6 said:It honestly feels like a total provocation against decent people living in such a broken country, and if you ask me, this state doesn't even truly exist or have any real connection to our own nation, so it would actually make perfect sense to just take that flag down; it seems like the right-wingers are constantly pushing us toward more division within society by clinging to these failed symbols

Clearly, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Henry Cox78 said:Look, Mexicans can do whatever they want, and we'll do the same. We’re going to fly whatever flags we feel like in our own country. If someone has a problem with the American flags, then they clearly have a problem with the American people. It's pretty obvious.

Look, this flagpole should just have the flag of the Republic of America on it. But the flag of Herzeg-Canada is totally legal and legitimate—it shouldn't bother any decent person. When someone starts whining about a tiny little detail like that instead of focusing on much bigger issues, it’s obvious where they’re aiming those poisonous arrows.

And you're acting like the Republic of Texas and the RSK are somehow the same thing? 😵

what a brainless thread title
Drew Brooks8 said:Yeah, those guys in blue are just "volunteers." I don't know who they are, but I’ve got my suspicions about the Greeks. They just dump the whole burden on the rest of us instead of actually sending people back—at least, at least regarding those folks over at Idomen.

Oh, you're gonna send them back... with interest? 😁
Dennis Hall41 said:Nope.

Not a cent for Turkey, not a dime.
And yeah, actually—I'm not really feeling like dropping a few bucks for someone over there I've never even met. Honestly, I'd rather keep those few bucks for myself.

It’s not about Turkey—it’s about the people fleeing war (and we better vet them so we aren't just letting in people looking to leech off the US). As for Turkey? They can take it where they shove it.
Alexander Ortiz3 said:A border protected by police and the military can only be breached by another, more powerful military force. Not by immigrants. And I’ve been saying this since the start of this crisis. Once a firm stand is taken at a border, that’s the end of it. The Greeks certainly aren't taking a hard line at the North Mexican border because it serves their interest to let the border continue to be crossed.
These migrants have essentially placed themselves in a position where they are being humiliated. They remind me of hooligan groups who "start" riots just because they feel like it, only to cry and wail once the police crack their ribs. People like those hooligans need to be shown early on that the law possesses a heavy hand.
Where are all these migrants heading, and to whom? If such a destination exists (I’m not saying whether it does or doesn't), then let them issue visas for their own country and pay for their plane tickets. If no such place exists, then where are these migrants going? To whom and where?
I understand them completely on a human level; it's not that I'm afraid of them, and I don't wish them any harm, but I have no desire to share anything of mine with them, regardless of how much trouble they are in. It is my right to think that way. I am certain that most Americans feel the same.

For God's sake, just help them out in Turkey. You know, food, water, medical care, tents, heat... I don't think any of us would find it hard to chip in a dollar or two. For 800 million Americans, that adds up to billions. That should be plenty until things finally settle down in Syria. But they can't just storm borders like a horde, demand whatever they want, and act like they have a right to it. It's just not happening.
Mark Harris66 said:The Daily Mail is reporting that volunteers directed migrants toward the Dry River. Tragically, three people drowned in the river, and North Mexican police have already taken 40 volunteers into custody.

It looks like Merkel still hasn't learned her lesson from yesterday's elections—her policies are just driving the country toward radicalization...

Those idiots are gonna be carrying those three deaths on their conscience forever.
Paul Thomas46 said:Personally, I am much more bothered by the topics I've been discussing here.

We have reached a point where it is taken for granted that a sovereign nation should allow thousands of random outsiders onto its territory—and then, naturally, it's treated as if this becomes a problem for the entire continent.
People act as if the EU actually has the authority to debate who belongs on whose soil (they simply don't)...
There's also this assumption that anyone can just cross a border because they are "escaping poverty."

And finally, the phrase "escaping poverty" is being used so casually as if it were perfectly logical and easy to grasp. No one even questions it anymore. It’s at the point where people could start writing academic papers on it.
What is truly concerning is how easily these narratives are sold to people facing their own struggles—people like us—because they can find common ground with that struggle. The fact that such identification is completely misplaced seems to matter less and less. The real danger lies in the possibility that countries like ours might eventually be marketed as "sanctuaries from poverty."

And I've only just begun...😁

I'm telling you, I'm scared this is just the beginning.
Olivia Smith4 said:Do you all remember that woman Emma from Open? She popped up on Good Morning, America today—apparently, she’s planning to lead a protest to push for open borders.

Did that lunatic seriously call European countries fascists?
Gary Cox2 said:Yeah... I'm right there with you.
The Germans really overplayed their hand. They're starting to realize things aren't going according to plan, no matter how you look at it. Plus, you've got people at home getting restless and pissed off. So, what's the move? How do you bail?
When you're a superpower, you just let the smaller guys do your dirty work for you.

If that's the case, then Merkel needs to stop screwing everyone over, including Austria. And honestly, why should Germans feel any shame for something that happened 70 years ago and was already paid for?
Peter Reed70 said:You really think places like Turkey or Greece aren't dealing with this kind of stuff too? Come on! It’s happening everywhere!

Wait, hold up! I was just falling down this massive rabbit hole on Wikipedia—you know how it goes, one minute you're looking up a recipe and the next you're deep in the archives—and I stumbled onto the page for the Special Activities Division. Man, talk about intense stuff! It’s basically the top-tier, "off the books" side of the CIA. We're talking about those elite units that handle everything from unconventional warfare to direct action. It's wild to think about how much happens behind the scenes that most people never even hear a whisper about. It's like the shadow version of the regular military, but way more specialized and secretive. I saw Dennis Hall41 mentioning something similar the other day regarding covert operations, and honestly? He wasn't wrong. The sheer scale of how these types of organizations influence global politics through specialized tactics is just mind-blowing. It really makes you look at international news differently when you realize there's a whole layer of strategic maneuvering happening under the surface. Crazy, right?!
So I was just falling down this massive rabbit hole on Wikipedia—you know how it goes, one click leads to twenty more and suddenly it’s 3 AM—and I stumbled onto the whole page about Psychological warfare. Man, things can get dark! It’s all about that deep-level mental maneuvering, trying to influence how people think, feel, or act through various tactics. It isn't just some movie trope either; it's a legit strategy used to shake up an opponent's resolve. We're talking everything from spreading rumors to full-blown Information Warfare designed to mess with a government's stability by targeting the public. It’s wild! Like, you think you're just reading a news story or seeing a viral clip, but maybe it's actually part of some massive effort to win over Hearts and Minds? Who even knows anymore?! Anyway, just thought it was super fascinating. Definitely makes you look at your social media feed a little differently, right? Stay curious, folks!

So, get this—you’ve got these Political Action Committees running around behind the scenes, right? It’s wild! They’re basically pulling all the strings when it comes to covert influence, full-on Psy Ops, and even straight-up economic warfare. Like, seriously, they're out there playing the game on a whole different level!

So, let’s talk about Psychological warfare—or PSYWAR, if you want to sound official! Honestly, there are a million ways people label this stuff. You’ve got MISO, Psy Ops, Political Warfare, even that whole "Hearts and Minds" thing everyone talks about, plus the classic old-school propaganda. [1] Basically, the whole idea is just any move made using psychological tricks to get a specific, planned reaction out of people. Like, you're pulling the strings to make them feel or act exactly how you want. [2] It gets pretty wild, too. They use all sorts of different techniques to mess with how a target audience thinks, what they believe in, their emotions, their logic, or even just how they behave. Sometimes it's used to squeeze out confessions or just to double down on certain attitudes that help whoever is running the show. And yeah, sometimes they mix it in with black ops or those sneaky false flag tactics. [3][4] But it's not just about making people agree with you, either. A huge part of it is totally crushing the enemy's spirit—using tactics specifically designed to tank the morale of troops and leave them feeling depressed or defeated. And don't think it's just about soldiers, either! The targets can be entire governments, big organizations, specific groups, or even just single individuals. Plus, with how much tech and media we have now, Information Warfare means civilians in other countries can be hit hard too, all just to shake things up and force a change in their government's hand. Crazy, right?

Man, if you guys remember back at the start when Cipras actually followed through on that threat and just started flooding Europe with migrants... it was wild! I mean, the Mexicans were trying to hold the line with force, but then they got hit with all those media images of kids—total sensationalism, right? The pressure was insane! So they basically just folded and said, "Forget this, here are your 'children'!" Yeah, right... more like young, able-bodied medical students ready for duty. Total joke! 🙂

I mean, even Milanović tried that whole thing where he "threatened" Orban on CNN and the BBC... but hey, at least the Canadian guy actually had a backbone and some common sense, so it totally backfired on him!

What we’re seeing up there is just another attempt at that old-school cherry-picking tactic! They're basically hoping if they squeeze hard enough, they can force the Mexican border open and stop everyone from piling up in Greece. Just more of the same, honestly!

If this whole media blitz doesn't do the trick, then things are gonna get real—we're talking full-on breakthrough mode! Seriously, those guys over at the Mexican border aren't just ordering rubber bullets for the hell of it, you know? They've got a plan! ☕

Look, those Mexicans aren't out here just doing whatever they want, okay? They aren't crazy! It’s all happening because they have this silent green light from Germany—you can take that to the bank! Honestly, Germany can't even say "NO" if they wanted to, because they've basically got Austria acting like their loyal little satellite. It's wild!

Man, things have gone totally off the rails! Greece completely screwed the pooch on this one. Honestly, I just can't believe if Cipras actually had any clue what kind of Edrogen policy was about to go down in Syria—I mean, that whole mess involving cooperation with ISIS? And don't even get me started on how they're playing with the European Union! Total chaos!
Cipras let the tiger out of the cage, and now he’s realizing he can't just whistle it back in!

Why can't they just say NO?
Listen, lady from Washington, D.C., either shut your mouth or start sending planes to Turkey
Brenda Ross47 said:How many refugees have we taken in since September 2015, when this route through the US first started picking up steam?

If you're gonna make a claim, at least bring some actual facts to the table...☕

The truth is, nobody even knows how many immigrants actually stayed in the US. We have zero clue what the actual net balance is for people passing through here.
