Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
For external hemorrhoids during pregnancy, I’ve found that using pine water compresses works wonders. I usually apply two throughout the day, and honestly, it might just save someone else some misery if they give it a shot.

ganglion. Do a little digging on that.

Sam Campbell12 said:As for whether to go with a fake cake or not, I'm honestly torn; I care about how things look so a real one seems better, but then again, I heard a few people complaining that the gap between cutting the cake and actually serving it is way too long, which totally kills the vibe...

They’re just so programmed. By the time you’ve finished your first glass of champagne, they’ve already carved up the whole thing. That’s how it went at our wedding. I was actually talking to my husband about how lightning-fast they were; by the time we finished our toast and made our way back to the table, both types of cake were already sitting there waiting for us on our plates.😁

Sam Campbell12 said:I was actually tempted to try and haggle with Liza to charge me for only 8 ounces per person since I know there's gonna be leftovers—and I really don't feel like chasing people around the hall handing them scraps as they're leaving... though I'm not sure if they'd even go for that kind of thing...

So, did you end up getting one of those fake display cakes or was it a real one?

Don't sweat the leftovers. Nowadays, almost every restaurant in the States will pack up extra food in disposable containers, so it's really not an issue. In our case, they just packed us some dry cookies because everything else apparently vanished. There was even a chocolate fountain involved, so once guests realized it was there, nobody wanted to leave the dessert station.😁
We really should have had a dummy cake, plus two more tucked away in the kitchen to pass out to guests. Toward the end, the restaurant manager actually suggested we could have two extra tiers since we wanted a specific look that their standard display cakes didn't offer. So, we cut those, handed them out, and then used a third one from the kitchen to keep things moving.

Sam Campbell12 said:Yeah, I thought the same thing, but $3.50 to $4 per person feels a bit steep given the quote we got, idk... how much were you guys paying for the dessert tables, cookies, and cakes?

In my case, the dessert table was bundled into the menu price, and the cake ran about $2 extra per person. If I had ordered it separately, it probably would have been a bit cheaper. But in the end, I just didn't want the headache, so I went through the restaurant (they use Levins for their cakes). I was actually debating whether to go with Levins instead.
I feel the same way regarding the cookies—you can definitely haggle for a better deal. If you consider that a pound of cookies starts around $27 and you factor in a standard serving of about 5 or 6 ounces per person, it works out to be nearly half the price. Even if you pay $33 per pound and grab 6 ounces per guest, you're still saving significantly.

Sam Campbell12 said:Hey, has anyone actually tried the dessert catering from Lydia? We’re putting down a deposit for Leo today, so I’m wondering if their stuff is worth it or if I should just look elsewhere.
Also, let me know if you’ve used any other places you actually liked and roughly what they charged.
Thanks!

Their treats are solid. I’ve tried them several times—everything from those tiny creamy bites to the little cup desserts that usually taste like nothing. Theirs are actually delicious. My advice? Just go with them. You won't regret it.

Those little fairies look lovely, and I’m particularly drawn to the kimono. I can't quite tell—did you pick that up at Macy's too? If so, what was the damage? 🙂

Just go grab a 60-count bottle of magnesium supplements online for $6.75 and take one every single day. Honestly, I used to deal with these brutal menstrual cramps accompanied by diarrhea; I was stuck taking at least two Advil every day just to function. Well, I’ve been on a daily magnesium regimen for two months now. The last period was significantly less painful, and this most recent one? It was actually manageable—I didn't even need to reach for an Advil. Just try it. It’s hardly a major investment, and there's a high chance it works for you too. Isn't it obvious? A magnesium deficiency causes those muscle contractions and spasms that make everything hurt so much.

So—should I head to my primary care physician for the prescription, or would a gynecologist be the better bet?🤷

The real frustration is that, according to my charts, apparently I don't have any underlying health issues that would justify the level of pain I'm feeling.🙄

My OB-GYN mentioned I have a few ovarian cysts, but nothing major—nothing that poses a real threat to my health.🤔 BUT she can't explain why I get these sudden, sharp stabs of pain in my ovaries a few times every month, nor can she tell me why my period has been running 10 to 12 days late for the last four months, especially since it was perfectly regular for years.

And when the pain hits, it hits hard. From day one to day three, I’m basically out of commission. No classes, no grabbing coffee, no walks—nothing. It's just bed-bathroom-bed.🙂

Even standard over-the-counter stuff, like Advil or Aleve, doesn't touch it. I would be absolutely thrilled if I could get some actual, effective medication.🙏 Because honestly, I'm done popping five or six Ibuprofens a day just to cope...

I don't know, have you tried Ketorolac?
I went through the exact same thing with Ibuprofen, taking five or six a day. Then I switched to Ketorolac, and now I only need two or three. Usually just one in the morning and one before bed or in the evening.

Don't sweat it, that rule doesn't apply to concerts.

If the stars align and I can actually swing it, I’ll be there. Again. 👍

Look, I know the guy’s a coach, but what does a session actually look like? What are we talking about here? Is it just pounding heavy bags and shadowboxing all day, or do they get into actual sparring? And what about the warmup and everything else? Does anyone actually know the drill?

Is there any girl out there who goes to that kickboxing club over at the downtown YMCA near the waterfront? I’m looking for some honest feedback on the vibe there.
The absolute worst are the ones who spend the whole time complaining about everything. I honestly don't get why they even bother showing up if nothing is good enough for them. Maybe they just have too much money on their hands and 👎

Dubioza Kolektiv was decent for some light dancing. But honestly? Skindred absolutely blew my mind on the last day. I’d never actually heard them before, but they put on such an insane show it was unreal. That vocalist is a total powerhouse—just incredible. Chaos is alive and well. Flogging Molly, beer flying everywhere, then we were all just sharing Guinness afterward. Good times, people.
I have no idea where you all were getting your wristbands checked, but I walked in yesterday from the left side, past those pale tents where they hand them out (so I bypassed that whole area), and nobody bothered to check mine once I was through.
So, how was the vibe at the Billy Idol show earlier?
For me, things felt pretty stale and honestly just kind of a drag, so I ended up heading back over to catch Pendulum instead. 😬
I’d love to throw those on too, but I have a feeling that once the crowd thins out, we’ll be right back where we started yesterday.
Forget what anyone said about the weather; it didn't actually rain, though there was enough mud to drown in.
I honestly came home even filthier than I did after the Metallica show. Everything felt perfect yesterday, though. Even Alice in Chains caught me off guard by playing some tracks I really wasn't expecting.
Today starts with Rise Against warming things up, followed by a showdown between Billy Idol and Pendulum.
I haven't quite figured out my game plan yet. If the vibe isn't right during Billy Idol, I might just head straight over to the Pendulum set to lose myself in the crowd. 😬
James Evans78 said:I think you realize sending an email isn't going to change anything at this point. All we can do is pray Billy runs late so we actually have a chance to catch HIM XD

Look, I know there’s nothing left to be done. 😬
As for any delays? I doubt it. Everything has run strictly on schedule the last few years.
Alright, thanks. I think I’ll spend some time this weekend doing a bit of digging. I'm really hoping to track down something a little more 🙂
