I’ve run into a bit of a snag with hibernation. Specifically, the option simply isn't there. I spent some time digging through tutorials on YouTube, and it seems like everyone else is dealing with a different version of this issue where the hibernation checkbox is visible—some have it checked, some don't. But for me? It’s completely MIA. There’s no mention of hibernation anywhere in my settings; I’m just left with sleep and lock.
Can anyone recommend a budget-friendly laptop under $500? I’d prefer something with an AMD chip if possible. It'll mostly be used for browsing—think YouTube, forums, and reading the news—plus watching movies. Having an optical drive would be a nice bonus.
People head to the theater expecting a masterpiece by Lars von Trier, only to walk out halfway through because they found it boring. You’d think you’d actually check the genre before buying a ticket. Maybe some people hear his name and assume he’s some kind of architect building houses, so they figure it might be visually interesting.
Like the comment above says, the whole thing takes place in a single room. Just one lead actor surrounded by a handful of extras or bit players, if you can even call them that. Makes me wonder what the budget actually looked like.

To be clear, I’m not talking about noise-canceling tech meant to block out the world. I mean headphones where I can crank the volume up without the people sitting next to me hearing a single note. 🙂
Looking for something budget-friendly and comfortable.
It’s been nearly a year since I kicked this thread off. 😁
Filming is officially underway. Tom Hardy is stepping into the role of Al Capone (as I mentioned in my opening post). They had plenty of time over the last twelve months to pivot to someone else, but I’m glad they stuck with him.
Adonis Creed seeks vengeance by stepping into the ring with the man responsible for his father's death.
Adonis Creed is looking for payback for his father's death. We've got Michael B. Jordan returning as the lead, alongside Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa and Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago.
The film is slated for a late November release this year.
This movie sat on my hard drive forever, just waiting for me to finally sit down and watch it. Now that I actually have, I can't quite wrap my head around why I waited this long. 😁
It’s excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something worth watching.
For context, the film is based on the novel of the same name. The author wrote a trilogy, and there is also a sequel titled What Becomes of the Brokenhearted which I haven't seen yet. A third installment likely won't happen, and frankly, it’s probably better that way.
