I honestly can’t wrap my head around people who just cave whenever they feel the weight of social pressure.
You only get this one shot at life—it’s relatively short, after all—so why spend it trying to satisfy everyone else's expectations instead of your own? 🙏
At the end of the day, a rational person doesn't owe anyone anything, except for the inevitable reality of death.

I couldn't say the same. You end up getting a draft notice and suddenly you're expected to sacrifice your entire life for the country.😂
Their whole specialty seems to revolve around warfare and the oppression of women.
To me, those guys seem pretty pathetic; they aren't exactly someone I'd want to swap places with.
Honestly, you’ve got it easy if it’s just some friend you're dealing with. Imagine having someone like that in your immediate family... I don't even know how you'd begin to shut them down without causing a massive scene.
My sister has absolutely zero concept of privacy, and she’s somehow convinced herself that my sole purpose in life is to act as her personal entertainer because she has nothing better to do with her own time. I’ll walk through the front door after a long day at work only to find her standing right there at the entrance... she follows me around my own apartment constantly, rambling about things that have absolutely no business being my concern. It doesn't even stop when I try to take a shower; she’ll actually sit in the bathroom while I'm in there... and it goes on like that until I finally go to bed. There was even one instance where she tried to sleep in my bed... and this is a thirty-six-year-old woman. When I finally try to push her away, she just turns it back on me, asking what I'm going to do now or where I think I'm going. It’s the same cycle, every single day.
And then, during those stretches when she actually has a boyfriend, she completely ghosts me, acting like I don't even exist.
They're truly unwell.☕

honestly, you can't really blame anyone for your situation if you weren't born in China.🥳

It has even reached the point where scrolling through this forum feels pointless. (I mean, obviously, everything is somewhat meaningless😁, but at least it used to be engaging.) Now, I honestly couldn't care less about reading anything. What for? It’s just the same old topics, the same personalities—it’s all just a massive waste of time...
Nothing really feels meaningful anymore.
I know what comes next: people telling me to go see a therapist. But for what? To get "tools" to help me function until my time runs out? Why am I even here?🤷 Why should I do anything at all? It’s all just a Sisyphus job.
Look, if you want to spend your life enjoying yourself, you actually need money, which means you have to put in the work and study... I’m not sure what part of that isn't clicking? And honestly, what does the fact that we all die one day have to do with it? You should be out there soaking up every single blessing life offers while you still have the chance.
Angela Wright said:To anyone out there feeling completely done with life: before you decide to take the plunge off a bridge or whatever else, why not try doing something good for once? Just in case heaven and hell actually exist, go sign up as a volunteer for the Terry Fox charity run to help folks fighting cancer who are desperate to stick around.
On a different note, our team over at The New York Times is always looking for volunteers to sit with people who are nearing the end of their lives—to just hold their hand and be there. It’s a heavy way to get a real look at how brutal life can be, seeing firsthand how much people fight to stay in it, and witnessing what death actually looks like for both the dying and the families left behind.👍
Give me a break with that cheap sentimentality. I am perfectly healthy, yet my quality of life feels just as bleak as those mentioned above, if not worse.
It’s that classic, old-school collectivist mindset... the idea that as long as you have your limbs and you can move, you should just get back to work and keep living. 🙏

It really is quite strange, 🥳
I honestly can’t wrap my head around what the organizers were thinking here. I mean, what on earth do the Foo Fighters have in common with Lololob잉da, or Mother Mother and Kiril? It just doesn't add up. I know quite a few people who would jump at the chance to see the Foo Fighters live, but they're passing on this whole thing because the supporting acts just aren't their style.
Alexander Myers30 said:I'm right there with you. The core of the issue is that times are changing; kids are more advanced now, and a seven-year-old often looks and acts like they're thirteen. These days, kids aren't satisfied with anything; if they don't have an Xbox or a PlayStation 2 or some other nonsense, they act like the world is ending.
They're under less supervision because parents are working themselves to death; life moves at such a breakneck pace today that there's just no time for anything else. 😢
Of course they're spread too thin when they're expected to buy three different smartphones for every single kid in the house.☕
Neither Brown nor Primal Scream can seem to pack a factory, what is wrong with you people?
Igor Hinić and Mile Smodlaka.
Given how many Mexicans and people of partial Mexican descent are participating in both the team and individual events, I find myself naturally rooting for Team USA.

What success are we actually talking about? He just dropped three sets on the court. 😬Until he actually clinches a Grand Slam, he hasn't really proven anything to anyone.
They lined up right there in the Republika Srpska region, so there isn't really anything controversial about it. It’s not like every single person wearing a black shirt gathers at Madison Square Garden every time something happens.
