Thanks for the link, though according to this, my rash would fall under the category of tinea corporis. The description matches mine perfectly, and while Ketoconazole is supposed to be the go-to treatment for it, I’m definitely not seeing any improvement... It looks like I might have to push back a little bit with my doctor next time.
As for the corticosteroids, I'm really not sure. She prescribed a combination of those two creams, and the lady at the CVS pharmacy even told me it was a solid pairing... 🤷
If that combo is supposed to be so great, then how come everything is getting worse instead of better?
Chris Green83 said:It’s not really about the final word itself. It’s more about how the other side baits you—how they frame a question or throw out a provocation just to see if you'll bite.😍 For the sake of further discussion, though you aren't allowed to actually give him an answer.🙂
I had already grabbed some Cardboard for that exact same purpose, but by the time I finished typing out my response, the moderator hit me with a warning. I didn't even see it happen. I just sent the post and shut down the whole Reddit thread.
It took about an hour or two for that red Cardboard to show up—bright, vivid, and glaringly obvious. But apparently, I’m the only one seeing it. No one else seems to be getting flagged. Of course, if anyone actually bothered to look at the timestamps, they'd see my post went up just a single minute before hers. It's all very convenient, isn't it?[Coffee emoji]
Look, I really hope you realize these debates would literally go on forever if we sat around waiting for every single perceived provocation to be addressed... that’s basically the whole vibe of this entire 🙂 Reddit thread, we just have these guidelines to try and keep things from turning into a complete circus, even if the rulebooks vary slightly from one moderator to the next.
Chris Green83 says: And what about point number four? You’re right in the middle of the biggest debate on the whole damn site, pouring your heart out, and then suddenly an mod pops up and goes, "Alright, enough, shut it down." So you end up biting your tongue even though you've got a thousand more things to say, just because you know you'll get hit with a Cardboard if you don't. If you actually look at it... it just isn't fair. The other person made their point, you made yours, he goes again, then it should be your turn, but no, the mod
just shows up and shuts you up.
I try to keep track of everything to make sure things stay fair 😉 but let's be real, everyone wants to have the last word 😁
Honestly, those attacks where you've got raw, open wounds and super irritated membranes... they're gonna mess you up way more than any antihistamine ever could.
but hey—I’m not really about forcing my views on people who aren't ready to hear them 🙂 obviously, the call is yours.
Antihistamines aren't like magic potions—they need some actual time to kick in and start working. With the pollen count being this insane right now, you really should be taking them consistently, just staying on top of it... Just because you haven't been sneezing for a couple of days doesn't mean your allergies magically vanished or that all those plants finally died off. Especially if you know you're heading out into nature, don't just stop the therapy mid-stream—that intense reaction you described? That's definitely not nothing...
Look, you don't need some massive, world-ending crisis just to start a thread here... so before this whole conversation spirals out of control into a total meltdown, everyone just... chill 🙂 thanks
honestly, I found Benadryl gel worked way better for me than Kamagel... really hoping they still stock it, haven't picked up my supply yet this year 🤷 (I actually had a bit of a reaction to Prozac, but hey, maybe it works for someone else)
p.s. sorry about that. we just end up circling back to the same topics so much here... you just gotta scroll back a bit

I’m not the type to jump on a bandwagon and call something "amazing" unless I’ve tried it myself or my family has, but right now, this seems like our only real option. It's priced at about $20, whereas last year we could grab the Nasya spray at the pharmacy for $33. That’s quite a jump—enough to make someone really hesitate before giving it a shot.😉
The thing with Nasaleez is that it’s a bit awkward to use. It looks pretty unappealing because you end up with stuff dripping out of your nose, making you look like you’ve been snorting something else entirely.😉
🤣
but for real though—I wouldn't even care about the look if the thing actually worked 😛
swiftbear86 said:For me, Nisita ointment is a total lifesaver when the AC starts drying out my nasal passages, whether I'm at the office or mostly just hanging out in the car.
There used to be a white powder version of Nasaleez available, but you can't find it anymore, so this spray looks like a solid alternative. My kid deals with allergies to grass, weeds, trees, and bushes, and that Nasaleez was a huge help. We'll give this Ectoin a shot, too.
I tried it—total nightmare. My nasal lining must be way too sensitive or something because 🤷it felt like straight-up hell
swiftbear86 said:Try using this to help block allergens from traveling through your nose into your airways.
You can use it alongside Avamys if you wait about an hour between applications.
I’m definitely gonna look into that tomorrow 👍 (a few years back I tried that Nisita nasal ointment for the same thing, but the lemon oil they put in it was driving me crazy... probably just to make it smell better, I guess)
Apparently, there’s even talk about certain foods that "fortify" your sweat with some kind of special "repellent," though I can't quite put my finger on which specific foods they're talking about...
garlic (😉 maybe where part of that whole vampire myth comes from?)
You definitely need to go see your doctor—honestly, just having them listen to your chest with a stethoscope can tell if you're dealing with bronchitis or pneumonia. For instance, are you even running a fever? Seriously though, quit smoking. Whatever illness you're fighting, nicotine is just going to make it ten times worse.
And you can head to the clinic on your own; there’s really no reason for your mom to tag along with you.
Two Fexofenadines? 🙂 Just kidding... personally, I find Zyrtec works better for me, but everyone reacts differently (and obviously, don't go switching up your meds without talking to your doctor first)
nimblesailor85 said:How do you even begin to explain to someone that they seriously need medical help when they just refuse to see it? And is it actually okay—or necessary—to basically force them into a hospital against their will??
Look, if you want an answer that actually makes sense, you’re gonna have to give us some more context about what's going on here...
So I just realized you were actually trying to track down some Sumamed and came up empty—was I wrong about that? Or was that just something the pharmacist mentioned since you actually managed to snag it?
And yeah, look, not everyone needs it. That was kind of my whole point in the last post...
